02/07/2026: We‘ve been traveling throughout France for about two weeks, had various fancy-ish dinners. This one really stood out. Absolutely loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. Everything really down to earth and just very nice and welcoming. Of all the „Michelin Bib Gourmand’s“ we’ve been to this was the most fine dining (just without the overly fancy). Heavily recommend.

02/07/2026: A magnificent meal from start to finish. Perfectly cooked dishes with remarkable sauces. Special mention for the lamb sweetbreads. A very original and indulgent dessert: roasted apricots with lavender and Breton shortbread. Attentive service.

02/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening at L’Alexandrin restaurant. The chef personally greeted us, which immediately put us at ease. His warm welcome and unassuming manner created a friendly and pleasant atmosphere throughout the meal. The cuisine was excellent, with flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed dishes. The service was impeccable, attentive, and professional, contributing greatly to this truly wonderful experience. 31/07/2026: An absolutely perfect experience at this restaurant! Everything was in place for a wonderful evening: delicious, refined, and flavorful dishes from start to finish. Each plate was a true delight for the taste buds. And what can I say about the service? A warm welcome, an attentive, professional, and smiling waiter.

30/07/2026: We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. Perhaps our expectations were too high, but overall we were disappointed. The dishes were good but not very original and, in our opinion, not worth the price. The meat and fish were cooked perfectly, but the side dishes were rather bland and too small. Furthermore, we were disappointed by the service, particularly the fact that the waiter didn't give us any directions while serving the food… a shame. In short, a restaurant we wouldn't call bad, far from it, but overall disappointing.

A traditional Lyonnais bistro, revived and improved, that's the recipe for this establishment that will satisfy you from appetizer to dessert, with impeccable wines and service. One of the three best bouchons in Lyon, according to the local expert, without a doubt. Special mention for the sweetbreads with capers, a true delight.

17/07/2026: A very pleasant evening. Fast and friendly service. Generous portions. Warm atmosphere. A fruit salad for dessert would have been perfect. (Just a suggestion 🙂) In short, excellent value for money. I'll gladly return.

17/07/2026: This is a truly reliable place! We tried the daily special and the ravioli gratin and noticed two things: delicious food and generous portions. This establishment clearly knows how to cook, and they do it well. All of this is complemented by excellent service that enhances this delightful establishment: speed, smiles, and helpfulness. A great place at a reasonable price that we will definitely return to. Highly recommended!

16/07/2026: Excellent restaurant in the traditional Lyonnais style. I highly recommend the pâté en croûte, which is a real treat. The owner and servers are friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. A must-try.

09/07/2026: A very (too?) typical bouchon... Pretty average, except for the rather high prices. Probably due to the altitude! Very calm atmosphere during our visit.

06/08/2026: A good spot if you're looking for a sweet treat. The cookies are tasty, generously sized, and well-made, though not exceptional. The service is simple, quick, and efficient. My only complaint is the prices, which I found rather high. I understand you're paying for a handcrafted product, but I still think the price is a bit excessive for a cookie. It's still a good place that I can recommend, provided you're aware that it's a bit more expensive than average.

30/08/2026: Very disappointing, especially for regular customers. We've been to this restaurant several times and had never had a problem until now. This time, a misunderstanding started with a simple joke, which the owner clearly didn't understand. We explained to him clearly that we were joking and that our comment wasn't meant to be malicious. Despite our explanations, instead of moving on, he kept pushing the issue, unnecessarily escalating the situation, even resorting to insulting language. We can understand that a joke might not be appreciated, but when customers explain that they were just joking, the least one can do is let it go and remain calm. As regular customers, we are particularly disappointed by this attitude. Respect should be a two-way street. For our part, this experience has definitively changed our opinion of this establishment, and we will not be returning.

24/07/2026: Absolutely beautiful experience. I truly recommend the surprise menu which has a great diversity of flavors and textures. The ambiance is great, intimate and nice to talk the whole evening. The service was great and we felt the price was exceptional for the quantity and quality!
