05/04/2024: Delicious food. Top service. Nice staff. The foie gras starter was magnificent. The grilled pulp and the beef cooked for 8 hours, both to be enjoyed leisurely. Congratulations to the chef! But we didn't make it to the desert. There are also good wines to enjoy. 100% recommended brewery.

30/03/2024: A 2* restaurant must be a unique experience and a festival from start to finish, and generate memories for a long time. The Takao Takano (the Japanese side is largely highlighted in the communication) unfortunately does not meet these expectations: - minimalist nondescript setting, bare wooden tables, simplistic table setting, driftwood wall decoration, and an incongruous rose painting (unique touch of color). - pleasant multicultural staff, unfortunately the explanation of each dish is sometimes difficult to understand. - evening menu at 150€ (imposed menu with no alternative): interesting first appetizer, then the problem is the absence of flavors, the cuisine is French (some products from Lake Geneva), poached oysters from Thau, fish from Noirmoutier, a small almost raw pigeon fillet (not pink), a few rare spices or condiments announced during the presentation of the dishes, but which are not found on the palate. Often asparagus as an accompaniment. Very good selection of French cheeses. For dessert panacota with a rhubarb fruit salad. - in short, we are very, very far from Asian cuisine or Japanese accents, or even taste pleasures. - the wine list is extensive, with good wines alongside “wines of France” (not even IGP!) at €70 a bottle anyway. We are lucky enough to sometimes practice other stars, and this one is our biggest disappointment. Nearly €600 for 3 people is a significant budget (without an aperitif or coffee, just one bottle of wine), for an evening that leaves a lot of disappointments.

03/03/2024: There were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 teenagers) and were very disappointed with our family lunch experience. The restaurant offers a menu with only “Japanese tapas” and “small dishes”. For us, there is no need to have a long list that suggests the cuisine is quality. For tapas, we chose 12 pieces of very good homemade gyoza and edamame. Seeing the portion of edamame totaling 14 “beans” we kindly asked to have a few more, the restaurant owner then pointed out to us that we only ordered one portion. To continue, “small dishes” live up to their name. They are small or even very small. We all ordered a dish with meat (pork or beef) which had 5 to 6 petals in the dish (15 and 18 euros per dish). The dish with rice has maybe 4 tablespoons of rice. The flavors were good but not extraordinary. Furthermore, the dishes arrived after an hour of waiting when there were only 8 other customers. We would have much preferred to pay 5 euros more per dish and have enough to eat on the plate. As a result, we felt like cash cows and didn't have desserts. To sum up, big charade. Go your way.

01/04/2024: Excellent value ! The parfait for dessert is...perfect. The only downside: the room is a little noisy due to the number of customers.
