01/08/2024: Resolutely gourmet restaurant with a warm atmosphere and decoration. If the dishes are good (with a special mention for my part for the pan-fried foie gras), the service is downright exceptional both in attitude and efficiency: tact, kindness, a perfect balance between discretion and relevant communication. The sommelier plays a major part in this first-rate service. The wine list is fabulous. This place therefore deserves my most sincere recommendations.

20/09/2024: We had dinner on August 22, 2024 in this Lyon restaurant, the day after its resumption after its summer closure. The experience did not live up to our expectations because we expected more from this promising restaurant, recommended by the Michelin guide. The summer menu, obviously very light, was definitely a little “short” with a very limited choice of options. Several alternatives were also accompanied by supplements, including on wine. So much so that they became almost essential for an already limited choice. If the cuisine remains of high quality and the service impeccable, it is clear that the resumption of activity has been done at a minimum with basic offerings, which do not live up to the restaurant's pretensions. The room being already half full in the middle of the week, we are right to question the relevance of such a minimalist menu... The restaurateur responded to this criticism with this argument: “We understand your remark regarding the limited choice of our menu. However, we would like to explain to you that this choice is deliberate and has been an integral part of our philosophy for 13 consecutive years now. Our objective has always been to favor quality over quantity, by offering a short menu but entirely composed of homemade dishes, from starters to desserts, even including our ice creams and sorbets. » We maintain our criticism. By invoking the freshness of the products to justify his minimalist menu, the restaurateur avoids the question posed. When in such a short menu, there are so many extras, we increase the bill, quietly and seemingly nothing. In fact, the bill came to 71 euros/person (wine included), an amount much higher than the basic menu displayed (45 euros). Moreover, the selection of wines recommended by the boss (45 euros) was curiously unavailable, and replaced by a much more expensive bottle (73 euros), a proposal that we obviously refused. Since our first exchange, the restaurateur kindly pointed out to us that the prices are displayed on his website. However, he did not see fit to update his website this summer 2024 and in fact, it was his winter menu that was displayed at the time of our reservation. A regrettable omission. An oversight, without a doubt.

20/09/2024: Beautiful products, beautiful workmanship and excellent service; Bouchon Sully offers a first-rate culinary experience and renews the great Lyonnaise tradition. A special mention for the vol au vent and the absolutely delicious veal liver. To test or retest without delay! Congratulations to the whole team for this great moment and the consistency for years!

31/08/2024: I spent a very good evening accompanied by my partner in this restaurant (in January), which is distinguished by a peaceful and calm atmosphere, ideal for relaxing and fully enjoying the moment. The dishes offered are not only refined but also tasty, with daring choices that pleasantly surprised us. The food pairings were also well thought out, enriching the dining experience and adding an extra dimension to each dish.

17/05/2024: Un cadre surannée mais charmant une hôtesse aussi charmante et attentionnée qu'âgée, une tête de veau fabuleuse avec un sauce ravigote comme je n'en avais jamais mangé (dessert copieux, mais légèrement en dessous des plats principaux. Une expérience à faire pendant que c'est encore ouvert.

22/07/2024: Pas mal mais pas exceptionnel. "Menu découverte" entre amis ( 6 convives): Langoustines rôties bien. Rouget barbet sans intérêt, accompagnement minimal. Fromages: microscopiques! Grand dessert: pourquoi pas... Petit pot vanille-chocolat: le même qu'il y a deux ans !

13/08/2024: The food was tasty but small portions. Next to us was a couple, regular customers, who had ordered the same thing and had a more generous plate than us. Nice place but not very alert staff. Requesting additional bread was difficult although there were plenty of staff around. I expected more. Still worth a visit.

23/09/2024: Scorsese is a real gem in Lyon 6! Thank you Jean-Jacques for the welcome. I was won over by the quality of the cuisine, tasty dishes with great taste. The service is simply great: attentive, fast and always with a smile. The terrace is a big plus, perfect for enjoying an outdoor meal in a pleasant atmosphere. A very good place to have a good time and enjoy quality cuisine. I highly recommend!

22/09/2024: Our favourite in Lyon. This always inventive and playful kitchen never disappoints and provides a refined, well balanced but very filling menu at a price point that feels fair, with wonderful service and a great list of wines and cocktails to make it a complete experience.

17/09/2024: Inventive, tasty cuisine made with quality products. A professional and friendly service. The only downside: a noisy soundscape, certainly due to the ceiling. Discussions between guests at the same table remain uncomfortable.

25/09/2024: Quelle déception . De l’apéritif au dessert la qualité attendu de la part de ce chef qui nous a habitué à Lyon a l’excellence n’y est pas ! Cocktail « madeleine » à revoir et que dire du Vitello tonato totalement raté par la découpe de la viande non italienne car épaisse et la sauce inadaptée ! Les grenouilles à revoir même si «  fraîches «  la double cuisson implique quand même une cuisson et l’ail persil un minimum de quantité ! Souhaitons à ce bon chef de se remettre rapidement sur les bons rails très difficile de passer d’un petit établissement à cette grande taille ! Petit conseil connaissant le lieu depuis longtemps la terrasse mérite une mise en valeur !

14/09/2024: Grosse déception : nous attendions de tester ce restaurant depuis quelques temps et avons vraiment été déçus par nos assiettes, en dehors d’une succulente côte de bœuf à 140€ pour 3pers, pour les autres, les cuissons n’étaient vraiment pas maîtrisées et nous n’avons pas pris plaisir à manger… De plus, très très cher pour ce que l’on nous a servi. Dommage, aucune envie d’y revenir…

21/09/2024: Best bar / gaming bar in Lyon! The waiters are super friendly, the terrace is great and there is a wide variety of games on offer!
