18/07/2026: Excellent service. A menu of 2 starters, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts that showcases the freshness of the cuisine and the chef's creativity. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I recommend it 100%.
10/06/2026: Welcome: very friendly and the waiter was very pleasant even though we hadn't made a reservation.
Menu: choice between fish or meat, two starters and two desserts.
Restrooms: clean.
Meal: nice tray of bread provided, very good starter and main course, a little disappointed with the brookie which was more like a cookie, but otherwise, nothing to complain about regarding the food, simply delicious for a place found on Google.
Time: the restaurant was full so we just waited for our main course to be served for four of us together.
Not accessible for people with reduced mobility as there are steps at the entrance.
Overall: I highly recommend it, a very good find and excellent food overall, good atmosphere and regulars who know where to eat well!

02/06/2026: A truly wonderful culinary experience with attentive staff, easily deserving of 2 stars.
30/05/2026: A truly wonderful place. The welcome is very pleasant and immediately puts you at ease, without the fuss sometimes expected from Michelin-starred restaurants. Everything is simply excellent, from the aperitif to the petit fours. There's no choice in the menu other than the number of courses, so you simply let yourself be guided by the dishes.

25/05/2026: One of the few restaurants open on a Sunday at lunchtime, we discovered a magnificent back room, even though the front is also full of charm. The welcome was very warm and the portions generous; it's good value for money, in short, a great place to remember. The raspberry tiramisu is delicious.

24/07/2026: Last Wednesday, I had a delicious meal here with my family of 5 while passing through. Friendly staff, good prices, and a nice atmosphere! Definitely recommended!
23/07/2026: 2 lovely young girls (not speaking English, shame on them 🤭) make sure they serve you well and super fast. Food is very tasty, a couple of veggie options. Big terrace on a nice square. Excellent choice!

04/06/2026: We had a very good meal on a Monday lunchtime on the terrace at the end of service. It was by far the best beef tartare we've ever had. A special mention for the fries cooked in beef fat. They were simply the best... The waiter was very professional, smiling, and pleasant.
The waitress (the older of the two), however, was cold and brought me a tiny ramekin of mayonnaise that had formed a crust on top...
Otherwise, go without hesitation; the terrace is lovely and the food is excellent. 👍👍

03/06/2026: Ate in the hotel restaurant, the butchers choice sirloin steak was just awfull, tough and chewy, probably the worst i can remember having.
Its a shame because this is a nice hotel.
30/05/2026: We stayed here several times, always happy. However this time was disappointing. I wasn’t aware of rooms in another building being part of the hotel. Unfortunately those rooms are far inferior to the main stylish part of the hotel. The rooms are not renovated, not as cozy and reachable via labyrinth of stairs and corridors. I will be more specific when making reservation next time. If you want to experience Le Rempart from its best side make sure you specify you want to stay in the main building - then you get a truly quality stay.

11/09/2024: unpleasant boss criticizes her employees to avoid absolutely yet great cook and waitress but bad boss never go to work there and hygiene level we will come back terrace set up after lunch service not change for the evening table of the 3 rooms all set and not change also already a waitress and a party dishwasher because of the boss what to ask questions
05/09/2024: We're not going to choke on the portions or the speed of the service...
You can tell the people are nice, the waitress is trying her best, but the service is incredibly slow. (Due to the kitchen?)
- "Beefsteak tomato" appetizer: I ended up with a tomato soup that didn't even fill four tablespoons. How am I supposed to believe it was beefsteak tomato? Not to mention the presentation.
- Steak tartare main course: Well prepared, but the side dish, a sort of potato dumpling, was woefully inadequate. I ended up eating more than half the dish without any accompaniments.
- Bread: Reheated or defrosted. After 15 minutes in the bread basket, it was hard once it had cooled down. Cooking is good, but serving the right portions is better.

25/07/2024: Very nice cottage. Valerie, the host, is very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable in the newly renovated and tastefully furnished apartment. The location on the Saone is also great, with direct connections to the Saone cycle path and the city of Tournus.
