12/09/2024: Passing through Caussade, found this restaurant with easy access and parking despite the work on the square. Friendly welcome, very good cuisine, on the menu the meat from the “mixed grill” is excellent. Great value for money.

12/08/2024: Don't be in a hurry. 3 beers, 1 coke, it took 15 minutes and there were 4 tables on the terrace. But the server is nice. You just have to be “chill” :-)

11/09/2024: Très très bruyant. Vieillot, pas très propre (vaisselle, murs…) Plats décevants (sans intérêt) Service moyen. N’est pas digne d’un Michelin.

30/08/2024: De passage à Saintes pour une nuit, nous avons dîné aux saveurs de l'abbaye à 2 pas de notre logement. Au bottin gourmand, ce fut la confirmation de mets et d'un service excellents. Une coupe de Champagne et un Martini rouge en apero, 2 saints pierre et 2 babas très bien servis. Un final extraordinaire avec une dégustation de 3 cognac, initiée par le chef de salle passionné par le sujet. Une soirée mémorable! Service sympa et prof. Mention spéciale pour le chef de salle. Merci pour cette excellente soirée. Avec 2 verres de vignerons, 111€ bien mérités.

12/07/2024: Very beautifully situated on the famous bridge with a view of the river. The hotel is very well maintained with a friendly gentleman for reception and service. The interior is typical French style from a bygone era. Spacious rooms with a smaller bathroom, but overall it gets a 10/10

16/09/2024: The setting is pretty but regarding the prices of the plates it's exaggerated, for dessert I had a gourmet coffee for €10, three mini pieces of cake that were fighting on the plate, it's a shame to take customers for a bank teller.

11/08/2024: We had made an indoor reservation, we were placed outdoors. Good dishes and very reasonable prices. I have some doubts about what happens in the kitchen and I could be wrong. After leaving the facility, on the way back, I got sick. I had a bad stomach ache, I think because of dessert. In 25 years, this has never happened to me. It will have been the first and unfortunately the last time that I will come there.

19/11/2024: Small restaurant in a passage of friendly streets. It lives up to its name: The welcome isn't great, nor is the cuisine (industrial, that's for sure). We had the daily menu for €22: *A soup from an industrial carton (my homemade soups are 1000 times better) *A complete ham/egg/cheese pancake? Accompanied by fries (not good) and a handful of salad. The buckwheat crepe came out of industrial packaging, cooking very dry *The finale: a chocolate mousse thrown into a ramekin with a cloud of whipped cream and taken out of a 2kg industrial bin. My husband had a glass of wine Taken out of a dispenser box. He was foaming when he arrived at our table....😒 The manager is in the oven and the mill, waitress, cook (microwave), she collects. Great hygiene.... As I was unsure about where the vegetable soup came from, I asked him what vegetables had been used. His questionable response confirmed to me that it had not been cooked but purchased. All his actions without washing his hands of course. I didn't take his little card and I advise you not to come and eat there. Sunday 11/17/2024

03/11/2024: We went there today very disappointed we waited 1 hour we had to ask for the menu after half an hour hot goat salad not that at all slice of goat cheese on bread not even cooked, then bread from the day before I had to make the remark and there we are given bread from the day I still find it serious for a restaurant to ask for the meat at the right time, they bring me a raw meat with frozen fries which was to be served with a salad and in the end it was canned green beans not even cooked finally to be banned I do not recommend nothing is homemade apart from the meat

14/10/2024: Belle découverte avec une serveuse souriante, très gentille, dynamique et serviable. Charcuterie locale délicieuse ainsi que les viandes avec des cuissons respectées. Une adresse à ne pas rater dans un site qui ne manque pas d'intérêt.

13/11/2024: In a little local bistro! Which has kept its authenticity of yesteryear! A great team offers you a warm welcome and impeccable service! The boss Jeff is very attentive and always takes care of himself! Jackie, the mother who works in the kitchen, concocts quality dishes for you with fresh produce, and a cuisine like you won't find anywhere else, it's a delight! Make no mistake, despite its small size, this bar is a treat! Located on the corner of one of the most beautiful squares in France, the Place Nationale! I highly recommend this establishment! Jack P

11/08/2024: Ordered a Chèvre Miel in a cream base which I unfortunately got in a tomato base. The honey was incorporated before cooking, which burned the honey and made it tasteless.

Delighted with their work, only one downside: the delay is longer than expected, but otherwise a company to recommend.
