04/07/2026: What! A Breton crêperie in Châtellerault!!! I never imagined finding one so good... A delicious four-cheese galette and an excellent scallop galette. Thank you for your kindness and warm welcome. A must-try. 🫠
04/07/2026: From the welcome to the main course and dessert, everything was perfect! The crepes were generous and homemade, and you could taste the difference! We had a lovely time (and a wonderful meal) on the peaceful terrace.
PS (To the restaurant): Please consider adding extra shutters for the upcoming "Petit Futé" signs!

15/05/2026: You thought you knew everything about asparagus because you'd eaten it so many times. Forget everything you thought you knew; here, they were absolutely meltingly tender and harmoniously paired with citrus and haddock. Add sweetbreads, a dish rarely found elsewhere, and you have a place well worth the detour. I also greatly enjoyed the excellent Grand Marnier soufflé. See you in a year, perhaps, during our travels.

29/09/2025: Ideally located for exploring Châtellerault, La Gourmandine Hotel is a haven of peace. It's a beautiful place to stay, peaceful and in a unique setting. A special mention goes to the breakfast. A small drawback: a kettle in the room would be welcome, either for early morning breakfasts or evening herbal teas.

26/04/2026: We were greeted by a very friendly waitress.
There were two of us, and we each ordered a drink. After a while, our drinks were taken away as soon as we finished them. The waiter asked us if we wanted another drink, and then we were asked to leave to free up the table. How shameful! I've never seen anything like it... They'll never see me again, not even for a drink, not even for a meal.
I do not recommend this place.

03/07/2026: We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The meal was perfect, and the dessert was superb (the apricot crumble was a delight). The service was impeccable, with a fantastic waiter. The owners of the inn were very welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant.
26/06/2026: It was absolutely delicious! The asparagus starter and the blue cheese dish as a main course were truly wonderful! I highly recommend it!

31/01/2026: Three fewer dishes on the menu, the meal served cold, the fish almost raw, even though there were only four of us at the table. The dishes were served at different times: one person finished their meal while another was still waiting. The kitchen staff publicly reprimanded the waitress (in the open kitchen), which was disrespectful to both the employee and the other customers. We definitely won't be going back!

We had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration for my mother! La Coupole By la ferme, I say yes and highly recommend it!
Thank you again from the whole family!

23/04/2026: A true bistro atmosphere with authentic, traditional dishes, fast service at lunchtime, excellent service on the terrace, and a warm and always cheerful owner.
A great place for a beer with friends or a night out, absolutely worth discovering.

22/10/2025: A really cool pub. Unique decor, but super relaxed. The few beers I would have tried would have been great! Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends.
15/10/2025: Not being from Châtellerault, I highly recommend this bar/restaurant! The bartender and the waitress were incredibly kind, the kind of hospitality I've rarely experienced. The warm welcome allowed me to truly enjoy my work break. If you're passing by, stop in for a truly exceptional mental break.

Overpriced for the quality of the dishes.
The presentation was interesting, but the food wasn't tasty.
The same goes for the cheese; I expected less processed cheeses.

19/04/2026: The service was impeccable, except that it was a little too quick between aperitifs, main courses, and coffee. The waiters were welcoming and smiling, and the portions were generous. Personally, I prefer ordering from a menu rather than a tablet, but that's a minor point.

Lola is a very attentive apprentice. I enjoyed talking with her. The atmosphere is pleasant. Special mention goes to the profiteroles with homemade choux pastry – they make all the difference!

22/07/2024: Possibly the worst service I have experienced. Took 30 minutes to take our order. Another 20 to serve the wine ordered. The food - a simple crepe - took over an hour to arrive and was missing one of the listed ingredients. There was only one member of staff front of house and just one in the kitchen-shambolic service and disappointing food. Steer clear and had for one of the other local eateries.
