08/04/2026: Lunch for two. Refined cuisine from start to finish, and a very good wine selection. I recommend the tuna Rossini, an original and very successful combination. My wife had a vegetarian dish, which was delicious. Efficient service. Well-spaced tables. Pleasantly calm atmosphere.

18/03/2026: We came to eat as a family for a birthday celebration.
We received a very warm welcome and were taken care of promptly. The setting is magnificent; we were transported back to the time of kings.
The cuisine is delicious and refined, and the staff are friendly and attentive.
We'll be back very soon! 👍🏼

26/04/2026: We ate there one evening, with a reservation. The welcome was very friendly. I was really very happy with the meal; the meat was excellent, cooked perfectly, everything was delicious, and the portions were very generous.

22/04/2026: We stayed here four years ago. The accessible room was quite outdated, too small, and smelled bad. Four years later, the room is still the same, despite the hotel's renovation. The room above is noisy whenever someone walks. Otherwise, the breakfast and restaurant are good, and the waiters are friendly.
It's a shame the accessible room isn't more functional and better renovated; otherwise, we would have returned without hesitation. The room price doesn't reflect the quality of the services.

On sunny days, the terrace is lovely, facing beautiful historic buildings. The galettes are good, served with a salad, and the service is friendly and quick. However, it's not quiet, and we found the restrooms in a disgusting state. In a restaurant, that's not a minor detail...

09/04/2026: I had the scallops and the sirloin steak, both very good! €52 for the three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert). Quick and friendly service, I recommend it.
24/03/2026: Dining at Le Cheval Rouge remains an overall positive experience, enhanced by its tastefully decorated and pleasant setting.
On the plate, the cuisine is traditional French, emphasizing quality ingredients and a rather good level of technical skill. I particularly appreciated the limited menu, which is often an excellent indicator of seasonal produce and homemade preparation. While the dishes are well-executed, they lack a touch of originality to truly surprise the palate.
The service, although professional and efficient, could benefit from a more personal touch to complete the experience.
A slight disappointment came at the end of the meal with dessert: a lemon macaron with ice cream, whose texture was too hard and sticky, not doing justice to the rest of the menu.
As for the bill, it was a little high considering the simplicity of the offerings, although the prime location, directly opposite the grounds of the Château de Rambouillet, undoubtedly explains the price point.
In summary, it is a serious and recommendable restaurant for lovers of tradition, although a few adjustments could make the experience perfect.

01/05/2026: A fantastic time at Café de la Gare! We were greeted with a smile; the lady was absolutely lovely, and it showed immediately. The food was excellent, full of flavor, we thoroughly enjoyed it. And the whole team was wonderful, attentive, and friendly from start to finish.
It's also so pleasant to have a coffee there in the morning before work; it really sets you up for the day! 😊 Honestly, it's a place you'll definitely want to return to! 😊
01/05/2026: Having frequented this establishment for the past five years, I will never set foot in it again. The welcome was unpleasant, the food mediocre, and I had a bad experience with the manager.
Zero friendliness, high prices, and poor service. You don't feel welcome there. 🤮

The food was very good, the staff very pleasant. I recommend for lovers of tapas (for all tastes) and/or Burgers.

16/10/2024: Nous avions eu une 1ere mauvaise expérience quelques mois auparavant.
Nous pensions être tombé sur un mauvais jour... nous y sommes retourné ce midi mais le serveur est toujours aussi odieux et irrespectueux.

21/09/2024: Quasi 2h pour manger des brochettes de crevettes sans la sauce fruits de la passion annoncée avec une salade sachet sans sauce du tout, feuilles abîmées non écartées. Vin ouvert mais pas de verres à vin. Plat du jour accompagné avec ? Bougez pas, je me renseigne. Définitivement c’est impensable ! Personnel pas désagréable mais très compétent. Chef qui n’en a que le nom. Bref, fuyez !
