15/08/2026: My friend and I came, having booked through TheFork. At first, everything was fine; the food was quite good. Towards the end of the meal, no one came to see us for a while (which I completely understand, as there were things to do), so I tried to catch the eye of the man in charge of the restaurant (probably the manager, I don't know, he was alone). He approached our table and stared at me, which I interpreted, and which anyone would have interpreted, as "I'm listening." So I said, word for word, "Excuse me, would it be possible to have a doggy bag and the bill, please?" to which he replied, "You can see I'm busy; you don't have to interrupt me. I'll come see you when I'm available," in a most unpleasant tone, practically shouting at me in front of the other customers. I was shocked to be spoken to like that in a restaurant, especially since I was very polite and pleasant when I addressed him. A simple "I'll just finish this and be right back" would have sufficed.
Finally, it was time to pay. We had the 50% discount from TheFork. I had checked the accepted payment methods on the app beforehand, which included the restaurant card. So I asked to pay €25 with this card, to which the man replied, "Well, I'm already giving you the app discount; I'm not going to take your restaurant voucher card on top of that, it costs me €1." I offered to pay this fee in cash, and he replied, "It doesn't work like that. I won't take your card; you pay normally," in such an unpleasant and aggressive tone that all the other customers were turning to watch what was happening. I had to leave the restaurant quickly because the experience truly shocked me. I don't understand how anyone can treat people like that.
My advice: if you're with friends or children, don't go here. His behavior is unacceptable.

24/08/2026: For a last-minute meal one evening because nothing else was open, why not? The franchise rarely disappoints in many areas, but honestly, receiving a cut of meat in that state, so tough and hard to cut… well.
Then, the drinks arriving at the same time as the food, that's also a shame. And the famous "tealight candles and plates": not a single candle was still burning, they were all on their last legs, unfortunately, so the plates and the food were cold.
Well, luckily, the waiters/waitresses were attentive and understanding, so that somewhat redeemed this unpleasant experience.

06/07/2026: This establishment is absolutely to be avoided. We had a very disappointing experience.
A friend, who arrived later than us, didn't have white pants or shorts for the white party. Yet, several other people present also disregarded the dress code and entered without any problem.
Once we returned to the entrance to accompany our friend, communication with the security guards at the entrance became very difficult, and their tone was anything but courteous. Faced with this situation, we decided to leave. I wanted to go back inside to tell my friends and retrieve my belongings, but a guard refused me entry. After insisting on getting my things back, another guard grabbed my wrist and pushed me, telling me I couldn't stay there.
We left with a frustrating experience which, in our opinion, reflects a lack of training for the security staff and is a consequence of this establishment's policies. We do not recommend this place, especially for its parties. I've never seen such kindness, it doesn't even deserve one star 😏

A simple "hello" is the bare minimum.

Order placed at 6:30 PM for 7:30 PM. That's still a full hour.
It's a bit of a shame not to notify customers via the app of a delay to avoid the wait.

07/08/2026: A very bad experience at Bistro Régent in Eysines.
We've eaten at other Bistro Régent restaurants before and everything has always gone very well. Unfortunately, this time it was a huge disappointment.
My partner is pregnant, so we asked for our meat to be cooked medium-rare, making sure to emphasize this to the waiter. We explained that it was very important because of her pregnancy and that the meat needed to be cooked to perfection. He replied that there was no problem.
However, the first piece of meat arrived very rare. So we sent it back to the kitchen. When it came back, it was still far from medium (see photo). The meat was still very red in the center. The manager then came to explain that, in her opinion, it was cooked "medium-rare." Honestly, it's hard to understand given the state of the meat. My partner couldn't even eat half of her meal. We had to send it back a second time and finally left the restaurant without finishing our meal.
Unfortunately, the service didn't help matters. It was incredibly slow from beginning to end. We had ordered a simple side salad bowl. It arrived almost 15 minutes later, after we had already finished our main courses. For a simple salad, this delay is incomprehensible.
Furthermore, this salad bowl now costs €2, which we can understand. However, it arrived only half full, which was truly disappointing. So we sent it back.
In the end, between a clearly explained request that was ignored, meat that still wasn't cooked to perfection after two trips to the kitchen, particularly slow service, and a manager who insisted that meat that red was "perfect," we left very disappointed. This is the first time we've had such an experience at a Bistro Régent, and unfortunately, we won't be returning to this establishment.
