02/07/2026: Watching animals suffocate in the heat in their small cages while we take our break in the shade is heartbreaking. The owls were particularly distressed. It might be beneficial to quickly add mulch to the cages as a temporary measure during the heatwave before considering longer-term solutions. Adding climbing plants to the cages, for example, would provide the animals with some privacy. The structure of the brand-new suspended playground, held up with screws directly into the trees, also jeopardizes the much-needed shade in the coming years. This is prohibited in Switzerland. Ballenberg has also just created its new treetop playground in the forest, without touching a single tree. The shows are magnificent and the staff very friendly.

29/06/2026: It was really nice, with some entertainment. It wasn't too crowded, so it was fine, but when it's packed, it can be less enjoyable.

30/06/2026: A wonderful discovery. A fine bistro-style restaurant where the cuisine is expertly prepared, from the flavors and cooking techniques to the seasonings. Special mention goes to the Reblochon crème brûlée with Reblochon ice cream, a perfectly balanced dish of sweet and savory flavors that paired beautifully with the red wine.

26/06/2026: We came in May, just before their holidays, so there were far fewer people, which gave us time to admire all the ancient artifacts the restaurant is full of. We were on the covered terrace, which allowed us to enjoy the cool evening air. This restaurant is a gem in terms of its decor, and that's partly why we came. For the set menu, we had the perch, a €36 menu (you'll always find perch at this price in almost any restaurant). It was really very good (too little). The ice cream for dessert was really disappointing for the price. In an establishment like this, I would have liked to have real napkins and not paper ones. As for the service, since the restaurant was far from full, everything was quick and smooth, and the servers were friendly. We'll come back in May. I can't seem to attach my photos; I'll do it on TripAdvisor.

15/05/2026: Beautiful setting, chalet with vintage decor, excellent Savoyard fondue, quick and efficient. We highly recommend it.
