18/10/2026: We had the opportunity to eat in the adjoining room, a lovely little cozy spot with very competent and friendly staff (much better than the woman who greeted us in the brasserie and who, despite our efforts to get a table in the adjoining room, wasn't very keen on showing us there). Everything else was perfect. It's a shame that it's over an hour's drive away; otherwise, we would go there much more often.

18/10/2026: LE FRANCAIS, a Bourg-en-Bresse institution, is a place people love to return to. It's the perfect spot to celebrate an event, enjoy a wonderful time savoring generous and traditional cuisine to share as a couple or with family in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is always impeccable. We are proud of our "AU FRANÇAIS"...

16/09/2026: A very good restaurant, admittedly a bit more expensive than what you might find elsewhere, but the food is excellent, especially the octopus 🐙😋😋. Impeccable service (thank you Blue!!) And the setting is truly authentic with its ceramic decorations. I highly recommend it!

24/09/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Mamma Trattoria. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with a wonderfully thin and light centre and beautifully thick, soft and perfectly golden edges. The tomato sauce was excellent and perfectly balanced. The welcome and service were warm, friendly and genuinely inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout the evening. A truly enjoyable experience, both for the food and the atmosphere, and one that definitely makes us want to come back. We highly recommend this place!

08/10/2026: Order placed on the website. Everything was perfect. Pizzas ready on time, sliced, and piping hot right away. They even included a little hot sauce in the box. And the pizzas were delicious, as always. A sure thing.

07/09/2026: A pair of waitresses completely out of sync, barely managing to get half a glass of water, which is also difficult to obtain. At first, we felt sympathy, then frankly annoyed by their nonchalance and clumsiness. A bruschetta arrived with bare supermarket lettuce ribs swimming in olive oil. This is all the more disappointing because the pizzas and desserts are truly excellent, made with Italian ingredients. A lapse in judgment that we hope is temporary, so that the Dolce Vita experience in Thoissey can return under better circumstances.

16/08/2026: Highly recommended! Very friendly service; the owner himself comes to the table to ask if we're enjoying our meal. The pizzas are delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful!

27/07/2026: Nice little restaurant, daily specials and a limited menu. Most dishes are homemade. The service isn't very fast, but the welcome is very warm and the waitstaff is excellent. Near the Michelin-starred Carmes site.
