02/12/2025: For me, this is the best pizzeria in Caen! I'm not usually a big pizza fan, but this... The wood-fired oven makes all the difference. The crust is delicious, and the choice of base (tomato, cream, pesto) is fantastic. I especially loved the four-cheese and the Andria. Finish with the tiramisu; it's amazing. The staff is lovely, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend it 100%!

16/05/2026: A true Italian gem 🇮🇹 Fresh, homemade ingredients and an incredible experience with their Trattoria tagliatelle flambéed with grappa in a Parmesan wheel, enhanced with white truffle… a pure moment of indulgence ✨ not to mention a homemade Tiramisu as light as air. A warm welcome and authentic flavors, I highly recommend it!

28/05/2026: Warm welcome. Delicious dishes cooked exactly to our liking. The fish was a delight with the lime and coconut rice. The owners are incredibly friendly. The terrace is nicely shaded. Dogs are welcome and very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

29/05/2026: Eager to discover some good things to enjoy, I'm rarely this negative, but several things justified my opinion, as I was quite simply very disappointed. First, we were greeted rather oddly, with disgust, because the restaurant could have closed at 2:30 pm (3 pm, see the hours on Google Maps), and we arrived, if I'm not mistaken, an hour before closing time. Service: The waiter was disappointed that we ordered two dishes with a young child. I share my food with my child; is that a problem? Everything seemed to indicate the opposite, judging by the response, delivered in a tone of disgusted astonishment. I asked for information about a side dish that might be offered with a pizza, but since I didn't have a specific idea, I had to choose myself, as the waiter didn't have the necessary knowledge to advise me. The dish: I was disappointed that the pizza served fell short of my expectations; a third of the crust was burnt. The pasta was good, nothing more, nothing less. The atmosphere: If you enjoy hearing inappropriate remarks and belittling comments, you're in for a treat. I feel bitter about having been tainted by this comment, which made me feel foolish for having even considered trying this experience.

29/05/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Santa Lucia. Cynthia, who looked after our table, was perfect: professional, kind, and attentive. My shared starter of focaccia, marinated peppers, and stracciatella was delicious. Then, the melanzane alla parmigiana was excellent. And since it was Friday, a decaf affogato to finish off this delightful meal and kick off the weekend perfectly :) I'll definitely be back!

29/04/2026: What a great place pizzeria La Base in Bayeux is! 😊 The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome right away. And the pizzas… absolutely delicious! Fresh, generously topped, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a really good pizza. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area!

I ordered the tagliatelle with scallops: absolutely excellent, flavorful, perfectly seasoned—a real treat. My son chose a scallop pizza, equally delicious. My two children opted for the chorizo ​​pizza, and my wife had a garlic calzone: unanimous verdict, everything was truly excellent. Beyond the food, the welcome was warm and the portions generous. Honestly, I thought I'd just have a quick bite, but it was so good that I finished everything as if I hadn't eaten anything before! A wonderful discovery, I highly recommend it! 👌
