La Trattoria
Caen
25/09/2026: Exceptional. Everything is just right in this restaurant. From the service to the food. Everything is done with pleasure. Bravo.
22/09/2026: Shocked by this restaurant! An exceptional experience. The food was excellent, the service perfect with a super welcoming and pleasant waiter. The gentleman who cooked our pasta in a Parmesan wheel was perfect, which made the experience completely different. It was fantastic, we'll definitely be back. (The portions were so generous I didn't even have the energy to finish 😔… thank goodness for pasta boxes!)

05/09/2026: Excellent restaurant! It's not my first time here. Very well located with friendly staff! There were two of us, and we ordered a salad which was excellent! It's rare to find good salads these days.
Plus, we booked quickly and easily directly through the website – perfect!

Pizzéria Novità
Caen
16/07/2026: A good pizzeria that offers half-pizza, half-salad combos. Perfect when you struggle to finish a whole pizza. The dough is good and there's a wide variety of toppings. Friendly atmosphere.
13/07/2026: Hello, we had a very good meal. All the staff were kind and friendly except for one waitress who had red highlights in her hair. It would be too much to ask her to smile; we really felt like we were bothering her. It was a disaster; she clearly has no business being in the restaurant industry. On the other hand, all the other staff were lovely!

10/08/2026: The pizzas are fantastic. The dough is excellent and the toppings are high quality. The desserts, however, aren't great and they're not homemade, which is a shame. Otherwise, perfect.

la fromentine

09/09/2026: Excellent meal. A generously filled Breton galette served with a salad, and a gourmet coffee that lived up to its name. All for a very reasonable price.
The service was quick, friendly, and always attentive.
26/08/2026: Very good, but you should update your opening hours online when you're closed…

24/09/2026: The service was icy cold, I had an earpiece glued to my ear, and the pizza was tiny!
In short, avoid it.

Villa Al Taglio
Caen
22/08/2026: I'm giving it 4 stars because
Food: For Italians, the pasta wasn't bad, but not up to our standards either.
Service: It's a problem that no one speaks English. But the staff was friendly and helpful.
Ambience: It's not a place that will blow you away, but it seemed nice and clean overall. It's right on the river.
21/08/2026: We had dinner, starter villa al taglio and tagliatelle with lamb, generous portions and excellent quality, very good, highly recommended
