03/07/2026: An excellent restaurant in Metz for lovers of hearty cuisine. We had a very pleasant time at this establishment. The dishes are flavorful and truly generous. I particularly enjoyed the penne with peas and sundried tomatoes—a real treat. Everything was perfectly prepared with ingredients that seemed carefully selected. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, ideal for a casual meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the overall ambiance. We will gladly return.

27/06/2026: This is the first time I've ever left a negative review, but I left Casa Ricci shocked. The food is certainly good. The setting is pleasant. The two youngest waitresses were lovely. That's all. I made a reservation for my family and me for my birthday. The welcome and hospitality were very mediocre. We arrived, they said we had a reservation, but we had to find our own seats (perhaps that's part of the concept, but we were surprised). There was no air conditioning, and my mother, who is over 70, had a very hard time coping with the heat. The waiters and the kitchen staff were on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of the heat. There was a fan behind us, and we first asked the table next to us if it would be possible to direct it a little more towards my mother. They said yes. The same table moved, and my brother decided to turn the fan a little closer to my mother to relieve her discomfort. But apparently, it was reserved for the kitchen to blow hot air back into the dining room (how thoughtful of the other customers, we were all sweltering!). We were made aware of this quite aggressively by a woman who came out of the kitchen and violently redirected the fan, completely disregarding the other customers. My brother pointed out the woman's poor behavior, and she quickly became angry and started verbally abusing him. The situation escalated rapidly, and seeing that we weren't being treated with any respect, we decided to leave before we'd even finished eating. When we got to the register, we were asked what had happened. We tried to explain and then pay. But the person, who I assume was the manager, refused to let us pay, acting like a true gentleman, as he so disdainfully called himself. It wasn't a gesture of goodwill; it was yet another humiliation. With the added bonus of repeated insults in Italian directed at my brother, at least they were on theme. It's understandable that the heatwave can make tempers flare; working in these conditions is very difficult, but that doesn't excuse a lack of respect. At no point were we aggressive or disrespectful. This review isn't intended to criticize the restaurant, but to recount my very bad experience. I won't be going back.

30/06/2026: Not worth the effort. As a tourist, you get ignored here by the lady outside. Eventually, I walked inside myself and ordered from the bartender. The bartender was friendly. But his female colleague simply avoids your gaze, doesn't even look at you. Very rude.

12/05/2026: We hadn't booked, but they found us a table. The restaurant filled up very quickly, there was hardly any wait to be served, the dishes were generous and delicious, and the staff came by at least four times to check that everything was alright. A real find, I highly recommend it.

14/06/2026: First time trying it, and I wasn't disappointed. The Corrida pizza was excellent, and it was cooked perfectly.

21/06/2026: A must-visit in the area, owner and chef Michel is an excellent cook and a remarkable worker who has built a top-quality Italian restaurant. Whenever we're in the neighborhood, we make sure to stop by. The pizzas are to die for, the daily specials are thoughtful and appetizing, and a special mention goes to the homemade ice cream, which is simply delicious (with about twenty flavors available!). The service is also impeccable and on par with the food. In short, it's always a pleasure to go there, and I recommend it to everyone—you won't regret it!

28/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! Passing through the area, I took the opportunity to stop for lunch at this establishment. The staff were very welcoming, professional, and friendly. As for the meal, there's nothing to criticize; everything was truly excellent and you could tell it was made with quality ingredients. In short, it was a very pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

09/07/2026: It was very good, although we were all surprised by the "mandatory" evening menu and therefore the lack of a regular menu. I don't think we'll be back in the evening given this system. There was also a bit too long a wait between the fish and meat courses.

06/07/2026: Eating on the sidewalk unfortunately doesn't live up to the quality of the food! It's a shame, because the four-course menu is perfect, with some real creativity in the dishes. But the ambiance is lacking; it feels like the tables were hastily set up. To enjoy a gourmet meal, we would have preferred to be seated in the quiet interior, but despite our request, it seemed to bother them. The constant back and forth of the waiters between the pizzeria next door and its terrace on the other side is truly tiresome. To top it all off, we invited a poor German tourist couple to join us, whom the restaurant staff were happily leaving to roast in the blazing July sun. There wasn't enough space under the parasols. At this price, one expects good food, but also a minimum of attentiveness from the staff.

11/07/2026: €47.80 for one pizza + half a pizza with salad + a quarter liter of rosé wine. The 25cl carafe was €11!!! (acidic wine). The pizzas were very average and served lukewarm. Long wait and unfriendly service. In short, avoid this place.

04/07/2026: A very pleasant surprise. The food was excellent. We tried the seafood salads, which were very generous and delicious. A real treat for the taste buds. The fruit tiramisu and the speculoos tiramisu were also generous and delicious 😋. I highly recommend this restaurant.
