07/05/2026: La Casa de Pompeï is, for me, one of the best Italian restaurants in Lyon, a true Lyon gem. 🇮🇹 🇫🇷 Missing Italy? No worries: the staff will remind you of the cicadas' song and transport you instantly, as if you were already there. 🥰 The food is excellent, made with fresh, Italian ingredients, some even imported directly from Italy. The dishes are generous, hearty, and a delight for the taste buds. You can add extras for an even more indulgent experience. It's a real pleasure to eat there. 🤤😋🍕🍝 Bonus: they also offer cocktails, including house cocktails. 😋🤤🍹🍸 It's the perfect place to celebrate a birthday (I've already been twice!), with Italian birthday music, lighting effects, and staff who make you feel special. 🎉🎂 You can go with family, friends, colleagues, or even alone. They also offer private bookings for the restaurant for events. 😊 The staff is lovely, smiling, welcoming, and warm. They give excellent advice, especially on food and drink pairings. There's laughter, a friendly, family atmosphere, a comfortable feel, and you always have a great time with them. 🥰🤗☺️ You have several options to enjoy their dishes: dine in, takeout, or delivery. 27/04/2026: Very disappointed. We've been here several times, but the quality of the food and service has declined, especially considering the rather high bill! The pasta service was far too slow; the cook was overwhelmed, constantly reheating and reheating the pasta! It was slow and not ideal for either him or the customer. Too many burgers and club sandwiches! They do fill you up, but... Few vegetables, no antipasti. A serious lack of Italian cured meats and cheeses. The desserts were bland and mass-produced, not really Italian at all, except for the tiramisu, which was a disaster! No taste, no appeal whatsoever. Where has Italy gone? There were four of us, and we all had the same experience. We certainly won't be back because it's too expensive for products that no longer represent Italy, and there's been a real drop in quality. Customers ahead of us at the register were making the same comments... And to top it all off, three dirty mugs with coffee stains inside, and the dishes weren't even checked! Well done. Something to think about.

29/04/2026: I celebrated my first paycheck at this address in 1999. It had become a bit of a "canteen" for me, a place where we'd all get together with friends. I went back countless times before the change in management. What a shame that pizza has become a luxury item (the prices have become exorbitant, just like everything else in the 6th arrondissement). For comparison, in Cuneo (Piedmont): a Margherita costs €5.50. So, some will suggest that "you should just stay in Italy": to which I would reply: "WITH JOY." Reconsider your approach, and perhaps I'll consider coming back someday. In the meantime, I won't be recommending this place to my friends and family.

28/04/2026: The restaurant's hygiene was questionable. As for the toilets, they were deplorable at the very beginning of service, and despite the review, they closed a month ago for hygiene reasons.
