I used to go to this place regularly in high school, but the quality has dropped dramatically since then… The avocado was rock hard and crunchy like an apple, full of water, the dish was bland and served in a plastic bowl?? And I was eating in! No water available, and the food was expensive for what it was. It has a lot of potential, especially the atmosphere, which was great, except for the waiter who was about as friendly as a prison guard—not a single smile… 🙂

08/04/2026: Very good restaurant, I've been several times. Unfortunately, each time I'm seated near noisy and disrespectful people. It's an Asian restaurant, and in Asia, you eat and you're quiet. There's no need to shout your lungs out laughing throughout the entire restaurant.
In short, it's not the restaurant's fault; it's a matter of basic courtesy. A little discretion, please.

I usually go to You Sushi in Lons, but since I was in the city center, I decided to try Sushi Shop.
I ordered online using a €5 referral code, paying in-store for my first order.
They asked me to pay €21.70 instead of €16.70 because the €5 was being added to some kind of account! But what account?
Anyway, caught off guard, I paid the full amount, but after thinking about it, I find it very strange.
It's impossible to file a complaint on the chain's website.
First and last time, avoid this place; there's no shortage of sushi in Pau.

19/03/2026: Very disappointing! Our order arrived completely defective, which is shameful. We paid 60 euros, so I think I have a right to expect better. We placed the order at 7 pm and it only arrived at 8:40 pm, which is a bit long… and the sushi was poorly cut, which is unacceptable. Ultimately, not a good experience for the price.

Last night, Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day), we treated ourselves and ordered takeout. We ordered two soups, two coleslaws, and a 34-piece platter (60 euros total). When we got home, the soup was good (although there was a lot of seaweed), but the coleslaw was rather bland, and the sushi had hard rice, rice that stuck to the box, and the maki and California rolls were completely tasteless.
In total, 60 euros for something that wasn't even that good. Given that the sushi rice was sticky, it must have been made that morning and left in the fridge all day. I'm disgusted that I ordered such rubbish from them; the value for money was terrible. It's best to avoid this place.
This is the first and last time we'll ever set foot in there.
In response to your reply:
I'll rephrase some of what I said: the rice in some pieces was hard, and in others it was stuck to the packaging. So, unfortunately, I have to assume that what I ate was made when I placed my order, but much earlier in the day... (I've ordered takeout sushi before, but this is the first time I've experienced what I got from you). This reflects on the quality of your food; for me, it really wasn't good, so yes, it was rubbish. Perhaps on a "normal" day everything is made to order, but on Valentine's Day, some things were planned as early as the lunch service.

I ordered two poke bowls for lunch today to eat with a friend. I asked for a receipt for just one of the meals for my business reimbursement, and the cashier was incredibly rude and dismissive, telling me she couldn't do it. She said she would have tried to understand and find a solution, and I probably would have accepted, but this was too much. I don't think customer service is her job…!!
Luckily, the poke bowls and desserts were good. I'll go back to Sushi Shop, but not to the one in Bayonne.
03/03/2026: Very disappointed with my last experience.
I placed an order through Uber Eats and received an order that wasn't mine. I had to call the restaurant to report the error, specifying that the problem stemmed from the delivery. Communication was initially difficult, as the manager struggled to acknowledge that it was a shipping issue.
A new order was eventually sent and received at 9:45 PM. Unfortunately, the disappointment continued:
• The sweet sauce was missing, even though I was charged for it.
• The two dishes that were supposed to be hot (the receipt clearly indicated "hot order") arrived completely cold, as if they had just come out of the refrigerator, without having been heated.
This is regrettable, especially after the first incident. I expected a more careful approach with the second delivery.
I expect greater attention to detail, particularly regarding order verification and adherence to the advertised quality standards.

From the welcome to the sushi delivery, it was great, as always. 😉
