20/08/2026: A restaurant in a magnificent house, tastefully decorated and in a very pleasant setting surrounded by nature.
The cuisine is always inventive and delicious; a feast for the eyes first, then for the palate.
The service is gentle and truly warm.
I highly recommend Le Mot de la Faim.

18/09/2026: We arrived as a group of 10, without a reservation, and we had a very good meal. Excellent cuisine with Jura specialties. Very welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
24/08/2026: Our dishes, white pudding, sausages were good except that the salad had lost its freshness and the so-called homemade blueberry cake certainly wasn't.

18/06/2026: I've known Anatolia for a long time. I live in Saint-Claude and I go there regularly. But finally… YES, finally in Saint-Claude I can eat something other than sandwiches!
Between the stuffed eggplant, the moussaka, the generously topped salads, and the other dishes on offer, it's a real treat. Everything is delicious, hearty, and you can even get takeout.
Honestly, it's a wonderful surprise!
03/06/2026: What a great idea this bread is! Large enough to hold a good amount of food, but not so much as to be overwhelming. The originality and freshness of the parsley in the filling are noticeable and appreciated.
And speaking of fillings, the balance between the meat and the seasonings is masterful (all four of our kebabs were similar) and subtle. The meat and spices provide that final, perfectly coated and seasoned touch.
A pleasant place with a welcoming atmosphere.

13/08/2026: Ribeye steak or regular steak. The choice is yours... The service was far too slow; we waited an hour and a half before the first course. There were probably some issues with the kitchen's pace, as the number of covers on August 13th wasn't huge... Plan to spend at least 2.5 hours at your table. The service was mediocre, with a waitress who seemed indifferent to the customers.
A bit pricey for what you get.
In short, disappointed.

08/06/2026: Hotel with a motorcycle garage.
The gentleman at reception took it upon himself to find us a restaurant in town and make a reservation. The breakfast was very good.
07/06/2026: The rooms are okay, the shower has a curtain instead of a door, so water splashes out the side, so bring a shower mat. The beds are okay, a bit worn. There's a magnifying mirror in the bathroom.
The hairdryer is built-in, the power is okay, but there's no cool setting.
What's really great is the light—VERY bright!!! The food seems to be good; we had lasagna, parts of which were practically burnt or impossible to cut.
The service is okay.

19/09/2026: I originally wanted a pizza with halal ham, but they didn't have any. However, one of the waiters, Mak, recommended two pizzas to us: an Indian one and a Bolognese one, both of which were really delicious. The service was warm, with smiles and good cheer; I think it was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had in a restaurant.
Thanks again for the service, Mak!

01/08/2026: Recommended for bikers (has a locked garage!).
This hotel is that appearances can be deceptive. From the outside and the reception area you don’t expect that the rooms are so modern, comfortable and clean. The same is true for the restaurant. The three course Menu regionale was tasty and exceptional value.
Breakfast again was a respectable size, good quality buffet for a more than reasonable price.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the place.

Good breakfast selection.
Clean room.
A minor drawback: the meals lacked variety in vegetarian options; two choices would be nice.

18/06/2026: It's great to have a bar/restaurant open until 12:30 AM in Saint-Claude. If it weren't there, the town would be even more dead than it already is. Thank you for being open when everyone else is closed at the crack of dawn.
17/06/2026: Excellent bar, the bartenders are very friendly and always smiling. I had a wonderful evening, and I sincerely think it's the best bar in Saint-Claude! I highly recommend it! It deserves more recognition than it gets ❤️

Le P'tit Machon

02/09/2026: We had a wonderful experience at Le P'tit Machon when we visited in early August.
The owners kindly prepared a fondue for us at 2 pm after our long hike.
So we went back that evening, as it suited us perfectly, and received a warm welcome.
We had a fantastic evening eating alongside regulars who were themselves very friendly.
The managers are approachable and easy to talk to.
The young man who works with them is very friendly and professional; he deserves your trust!
We'll be back when we're in Saint-Claude :)

22/08/2026: I strongly advise against it; the food was like something you'd get in a bad school cafeteria. I find it shameful to serve such mediocre dishes. That said, the owner is nice, but he clearly needs to change his chef.

07/10/2026: The place wasn't clean, there was an unpleasant smell, and it hadn't been cleaned at all.
06/10/2026: If I could have given zero stars, I would have. I find it shameful. There was hardly anyone there today, and the ordering process was a disaster. We ordered the special Bluelock meal deal, and we didn't get the toy or book that was supposed to come with it. My husband ordered a special Bluelock beef sandwich, and he ended up with chicken. It's already expensive, but to only get half of what we wanted on top of that is shameful.
In short, avoid this place.

14/12/2024: Les avis des internautes nous ont amenées à pousser les portes de ce restaurant. Tout était là METS RAFFINÉS accueil CHALEUREUX les propriétaires sont enclins à la rencontre et au partage dans une ambiance cocooning

26/10/2024: Une très agréable surprise. Excellent restaurant à Saint Claude. Accueil très sympathique. Plats aussi bons que beau avec des produits de qualité. Parfait.
