The meats and fish cooked over a giant brazier are quite a spectacle and make your mouth water while you wait to be served.

25/07/2026: A restaurant in the heart of Saint-Étienne with a shaded terrace, a refined daily special featuring two fish and two meat dishes accompanied by fresh vegetables from the local farmers' market, a lovely dessert menu, and all at a very reasonable price. A very pleasant family meal. A sixth star for the immediate care of our four-legged companion who was with us. Impeccable service. Thank you for this lunch.
08/07/2026: I was blown away by the warm welcome from the staff at Café de L'Opera; they were truly attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, perfect for an evening with family or friends. The value for money is excellent.

09/07/2026: The owner is fantastic, good offer of beer. Craft beer and industrial. You can get petanque-sets to play at the field outside. Could have been 5/5 but…. Unfortunately the staff is very rude and behave like Cavemen. Been going here for 3 years but enough is enough.

07/09/2026: Being new to Saint-Étienne, I've rarely encountered such warm and friendly staff. I've been coming to Nota with my mother for several months now, and we absolutely love it!
The servers are lovely, always smiling and welcoming. A special mention goes to Fatima in the kitchen for her incredible kindness, her big smile, and her absolutely delicious daily specials. I've rarely eaten such flavorful food!

06/09/2026: Two waitresses who clearly don't know what they're doing, you wait for hours, and when you're finished they prefer to go smoke on their phones while you wait. So you have to flag them down to order two coffees, and on top of that, they don't even clear your plates. Terrible service. Awful service.

11/07/2026: I stopped here because I saw Eggs Coffee on the storefront and it brought back fond memories of my trip to Vietnam. I had a fantastic meal! I highly recommend it.
15/05/2026: The pork spring rolls and pork/shrimp wontons are excellent, served with peanut and sweet and sour sauce.
The bowls are delicious, the only downside is that you can't taste the original sauces as they're diluted during cooking.
