29/10/2025: After leaving the cinema, I went to eat at Cave Marta, and what a new feature! For dessert, they offer a selection of options, followed by a cappuccino – a real success! Photo to follow. I recommend this place; it's close to hotels, ideal for tourists, the sea is nearby, as are the cinemas, and the tram is right next door.

22/01/2026: Honestly, a fantastic restaurant! This must be my fifth lunchtime here. The service is quick, the portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, the servers are lovely, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I recommend it 100%. I take my family and friends every time, and no one has ever been disappointed! It's exactly the kind of place we're looking for, and it's becoming increasingly rare!

01/05/2026: High prices; they say happy hour, but it's not. Two Spritzes (obviously watered down) and two Cokes cost €25, without even a snack. We had to ask for French fries (which were good) for €6.

06/04/2026: The second time I ate yesterday, I brought my friend, because I was bragging that you serve well and the food is delicious, what happened was that I was very disappointed because our order was the grilled seafoods but the shrimps already had a smell, they weren't fresh and secondly, the bread was even worse, it was so hard it couldn't be eaten, like a rock. We asked your waiter to crush it and he couldn't crush it so we didn't enjoy the 160€ we paid 😞

05/04/2026: We often write reviews, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. At first glance, Chez Freddy in Nice Old Town looks very promising. It’s located in a prime area, constantly busy, with a strong flow of people — which gives the impression of quality and popularity. Unfortunately, this is very misleading. The service is extremely disorganized. The staff seemed lost and uncoordinated. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like drinks, cutlery, and even plates. Nothing arrived without insisting, and there was no sense of attention or professionalism. The food, which should be the highlight — especially for a place claiming seafood specialties — was simply not good. We ordered the moules frites (plat du jour), expecting a classic done well. It was a complete disaster. The mussels were poorly prepared and lacked any real flavor. We also ordered a pasta, which was shockingly bad — honestly worse than something you would casually make at home without much effort. Completely unacceptable for a restaurant in such a prime location. What keeps this place full is clearly not quality, but its location and the illusion created by the crowd. People see it busy and assume it must be good — exactly what happened to us. The owner appears very active, constantly moving things around and trying to attract more customers, but that energy does not translate into service or food quality. This is a well-known place, but based on our experience, it does not deserve its reputation. If it were possible, this would be a half-star review. Overall: excellent location, very poor execution. We would not recommend this place

02/05/2026: Incredible welcome from a very welcoming and cheerful manager. We came twice in one week because it's one of the few good halal restaurants with a great atmosphere. Thanks to this restaurant, I discovered a love for Lebanese cuisine.

22/04/2026: We ordered kefta and asked if it was beef and lamb mixed, they said it wasn’t. We only wanted to order if it was beef kefta, unfortunately the taste was very strong and it was mixed. They just said it wasn’t so we would order it.

20/09/2025: Seat and then pack up like common animals? Under the pretext that the table is reserved. Understandable, of course, but politeness and respect are a standard we must uphold. So, dear bespectacled waiters in their forties, please learn to communicate respectfully. Thank you :)

10/08/2025: Everything was absolutely excellent. The service and the kindness of the staff were outstanding, making the experience truly enjoyable.

27/03/2026: We treated our in-laws to a stay at the Hotel Le Royal Nice through Smartbox, and they were delighted with their experience. They particularly enjoyed the room with its stunning sea view, as well as the excellent quality of the included half-board. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout their stay, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel is clean, as is the room, and the location on the Promenade des Anglais is ideal. One minor drawback, however, was a sewer smell in the bathroom, which could be addressed. But overall, it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend!

11/04/2026: Awful service and lack of attentiveness from the waitresses and hostesses. Food gets delivered late, steak was dry as sand despite asking for medium steak. Rude staff talks back when you’re giving feedback to gaslight you into making it a YOU problem. Would never ever come back again. Worst restaurant in French Reviera.
