14/08/2026: This is our second time enjoying an excellent, vibrant Lebanese meal in a calm setting where we are welcomed with the utmost warmth, like family. The food is homemade and of high quality. The dishes are always presented with passion by the owner. What we love is the soul of this restaurant and its values. There are dishes you'll only find here, as they are recipes passed down through generations. The owner speaks warmly of his staff. We love it.

30/06/2026: A truly Spanish Tapas Restaurant. Top-quality tapas, good, friendly, and relaxed service, excellent wines. The interior is very atmospheric, but we sat outside (covered), which could perhaps be improved in terms of atmosphere.
30/06/2026: We hadn't had the chance to go back to this restaurant for at least 18 years, we had such wonderful memories of it, and we booked a table on the terrace this Saturday. The waiters were super friendly, the tapas were excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and we won't wait so long to go back. Next time it'll be paella!

If you want to eat good couscous, go nowhere else but Baloua in Douai.

12/07/2026: The food was fine, despite my food poisoning! The atmosphere was very relaxed; some music or a bit of ambiance would have been nice. The service was quite slow; the attendant left because, according to him, we were taking too long. Unfortunately, he was out of toilet paper for the restroom. I asked for some, but they refused, even though I mentioned I was pregnant. I wouldn't recommend it, except perhaps for a very relaxed atmosphere, but at your own risk.

I had the merguez couscous, my wife had the kefta tagine, and the girls had vegetarian couscous: everything was excellent, generous, and full of flavor. You can tell the food is made with care and passion.
The restaurant has been taken over by two truly kind, welcoming, and very helpful brothers. They sincerely deserve to have many customers, because these days it's rare to find a place where the quality of service is on the same level as the food.
A warm, friendly, and delicious place that we recommend without hesitation!

As for the food, my opinion is more mixed. The pizzas are good, but not exceptional. However, the pasta is limp, far from the al dente pasta so highly praised by Italians. Luckily, the burrata made up for it!
