28/02/2026: Occasional customer. But always delighted with the quality of the fresh and well-prepared products. The best sweet and savory treats in Nancy, and this has been the case for 50 years in the Saint Sébastien shopping center... my first purchase was apple fritters... a real treat, back in 1980... 19/02/2026: Despite a very friendly welcome, we were very disappointed by the quality of our purchase... and it's not the first time, so we're leaving this review.
A few years ago, it was truly excellent!!
This lunchtime:
- The fried rice was incredibly bland, overcooked, with very little omelet and almost no sausage inside, just a ton of peas.
- The spring roll: the pearly white rice paper was very dry, already cracked, with only one small piece of shrimp inside, and no flavor whatsoever... a spring roll should be generously filled and stick to your finger when the rice paper is translucent, indicating freshness!
Disappointment... but the shrimp in hot sauce were quite good...

06/11/2025: I went back inside the brasserie to ask if they had a changing table.
The servers there that day told me no, and that I couldn't change my baby "outside on a table."
When I replied that it wasn't possible outside because it was cold, one of the servers retorted rudely that I should do it at home.
I was hurt by this remark. I loved coming in for a drink now and then, and I'm disappointed that they don't think about mothers who need to change their babies and by the indifference I experienced.

07/06/2026: The saleswoman was outside when I arrived, cigarette in hand, rummaging through her colleague's car trunk. She urinated on the sidewalk and then came to serve me. As I reached for the bread, I politely asked her to wash her hands so it wouldn't smell of cigarettes. She took it badly, put on a glove, and as she gave me my change, said, "Be careful, the coins will smell of cigarettes." This bakery's kitchen had already been shut down by the authorities for hygiene reasons. The lesson clearly hadn't been learned.
26/05/2026: Just bought two wraps? The whole thing inside is frozen. Tomatoes, salads... €9 for the meal, that's expensive for ice cream...

29/08/2024: The Charles 3 is a very pleasant place to go for a drink or even to eat
I've been coming here for almost 7 years, I've seen this place develop and I've never been disappointed, the quality of the drinks is always at the top, the catering side, frankly, they quickly found their identity and we put in place place a quality standard 😁 the prices are reasonable given the quality of the products offered in their dishes as well as on the bar side.
the employees do a good job, they are generally smiling even if some should question certain ways of speaking to customers or making jokes in bad taste which are not done in business.
but fortunately the whole team is great and their boss is at the top, listening to his employees as well as the customer, he can be proud of what he has created and of what their companies have become since the creation of the Charles 3 👍👍
If you are looking for a place to go for a quick aperitif with friends or have a nice restaurant, don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

27/08/2024: The dish of the day (filet mignon with whole-grain mustard) was delicious, and for €16 there’s really nothing to complain about. We don’t forget the deserts (lime something, plain crème brûlée and damson tart – not blue plums🤷♂️) are super good. To enhance this meal, the waitress is full of humor, we loved it.

19/09/2024: Nous avions réservé malheureusement nous avons eu une minute de retard, mais nous avions prévenu et nous nous sommes fait refouler pour une minute de retard !!!!
14/07/2024: Sur le repas rien à redire. Nous avons un bichon maltais de 7 ans que nous emmenons partout, nous avons déjà fait de multiples restaurant que ce soit à Nancy ou autre part en France et à l'étranger et n'avons jamais eu de problèmes ou de remarques, au K même pas le droit de garder mon chien de 4kg sur mes genoux pendant l'apéritif ! La petite dame nous a dit de suite en arrivant sur un ton pas très sympa les chiens c'est par terre ! Et le serveur est revenu à la charge 5min après ! Bref si vous ne voulez pas de chien dans votre restaurant affiché le à l'extérieur ce sera bien moins stressant pour tout le monde !!!!!
