21/04/2024: My wife and I had dinner here on our second night in Paris. The meal was a spiritual experience. All the wines were great. The food was perfect and the service was friendly and prompt. Best meal we had in France.

31/05/2024: A fabulous trip in a modern and warm setting overlooking the gardens of the Palais Royal. Chef Philip Chronopoulos and his team transport us to Greece with original dishes full of flavors, a fine blend of French and Mediterranean cuisine To sum up, it was delicious, surprising, beautifully prepared with adorable and discreet staff. A pure happiness.

06/05/2024: Nice small restaurant on a quiet street. Friendly and professional staff, they managed to find a table for us for lunch though they are normally fully booked even on Monday. I recommend to rake the menu of the day, Wine list is not long, but carefully selected.

07/06/2024: Used to eating at this restaurant; Usually we are taken care of by an Asian waiter (of Korean origin??) who is very friendly, the service is often impeccable. But recently it has been a total disappointment. A waitress (short hair, medium height and dark skin) is totally unpleasant. There were 5 of us, we were coming out of a seminar, having had a little aperitif, we weren't very hungry when we arrived. She forces us to order 4-5 dishes. Having no choice, we order. We asked a waiter (tall, dark skin) if he could give us some side dishes. They tell us that there is a charge for this. In short, avoid being taken care of by your two servers: unpleasant, unsmiling, 0 customer service.

24/05/2024: A real experience both in terms of service and tasting. You'll get what you pay for, it's unique, cozy and mysterious and frankly it really changes. So yes it’s not for all budgets. But quality is worth it.

The flavors were bland and the ingredients seemed lacking in freshness. In addition, the service left something to be desired, with inattentive staff and excessively long waiting times. The ambiance of the restaurant was also disappointing, with uninspired decor and a high noise level. Overall, the experience did not live up to my expectations and I don't think I will return. 14/05/2024: We ate dinner there and it was a treat. Chef is obviously very creative and adventurous cause the dishes were interesting, full of flavor and colorful. We made a mistake and booked table for 2 at 9PM and by that time some main courses were already sold out, so next time we have to go earlier. Also, calamari carbonara does not include pasta. It is all fine cut calamari. Was amazing, but I can see people being surprised by it. We will be back. Thank you🙏🏻

30/04/2024: Delicious food and service. The steak tartare with Lemon cream was delicious. And also the avocado mouse with vanilla and chocolate.

06/04/2024: Safe bet, undoubtedly the best eel restaurant I know in Paris. Rare restaurant where the quality of the food reminds me of Japan. The staff has been the same for years, I see that as a sign of quality. Japanese ceremonial and aesthetics are not lacking. The only downside, formerly frequented by a mainly Japanese and discreet population, the last two times, unembarrassed customers occupied the entire sound volume of the place (on uninteresting subjects) without the staff being able to do much about it. I obviously would not make the affront of presenting it as an alternative to sushi/sashimi, I highly recommend it to those who want to experience a little taste journey. My guests, surprised the first time at the mention of eel, systematically ask me to return.

04/04/2024: Very tasty unagi set. Eel was cooked to perfection. Special sauce rich and flavourful. Side dishes are very light to help cleansing palate after few bites of fatty eel and rice with the rich sauce. It’s my second time there and I’ll visit again when I’m in Paris. Reservation is a must as it gets fully booked most of the time.

09/06/2024: Takara remains an institution even if the cuisine is slightly less qualitative than before. We can no longer order after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening..... The prices have become too expensive.
