28/05/2026: The food was VERY generous; half a skewer was 450 grams of meat... I had the skewer with meat and prawns. Excellent.

The food and drinks were very good.
Great location and a basement room is available.
I recommend it for a pleasant aperitif, whether you eat in or go elsewhere. 🙂↕
P.S. The pastel de nata, with or without cinnamon, are incredible, far better than those sold in other shops in Paris, by far, in my opinion and that of everyone else who has tried them.

I had two long coffees with two hot natas, yum! I had a lovely chat with one of the two ladies who was very smiley, kind, and charming; it felt like I was with a friend.

14/04/2026: I went on a Friday evening, and there was no wait.
It had been a long time since I'd been back. It hasn't lost any of its appeal!
Indeed, I had a very good meal. Both the main course and dessert were excellent.
I'll definitely go back because I love seafood, but it's worth noting that the prices have increased considerably compared to the Pedra Alta of a few years ago. Still, it's quite affordable.
I highly recommend it for those with a hearty appetite.
13/04/2026: I've eaten there three or four times already. And honestly, I've never been disappointed. Whether it's the overall atmosphere (which can be very festive and lively, especially for a birthday), the friendliness of the servers, or the quality of the food, it's all excellent. Top-notch. Go without hesitation.
However, I find the prices for some dishes have become excessive (especially the desserts... some ice cream sundaes are between 8 and 10 euros! ...even though some of it is mass-produced... I shuddered on my last visit).
A little updating of the menus wouldn't hurt either.
Otherwise, nothing negative to say.

21/12/2025: We just drove quite a few kilometers to find this supposedly open restaurant, and there was nothing there. The phone number didn't work, and there were no signs on site, just a sign saying "open" with the hours. Disgusted.

26/04/2026: Disappointed with the service; the welcome was unpleasant and the cleanliness wasn't an option. There's a lack of smiles in this restaurant. I won't be returning.
26/04/2026: For many years we went to this restaurant for the quality of the Pedra Alta meals, but in April 2026, we were completely disappointed.
The freshness of the shellfish is no longer the same.
The poorly grilled shrimp and squid were sent back to the grill a second time and returned overcooked and inedible.
The mussels and fries were undercooked and not fresh enough.
The cod fritters were underfried.
The children's meat was of mediocre quality.
Out of five people, four got sick (three immediately and one in the evening).
While this restaurant used to be one of the best in the Pedra Alta chain (excellent food, service, and especially wait times), we are extremely disappointed.
We expressed our dissatisfaction upon leaving so they could improve their service, but I'm not sure our message was understood. What a huge waste. What a shame.

03/06/2026: As a pregnant woman, I politely asked to use the restroom. The bartender categorically refused, with a dismissive attitude, telling me I had to pay without even specifying how much or what it would cost.
What's even more shocking is that the entire staff present supported this attitude. There was absolutely no empathy or courtesy from anyone towards a visibly pregnant customer in a difficult situation.
I strongly advise against going to this place.
29/05/2026: Outrageous! My daughter simply asked to use the restroom, as she wasn't feeling well.
The manager said that normally you have to buy something to use it and then demanded a euro. I find that unbelievable, and frankly, in return, Madam, we won't be coming back to your establishment and we won't be recommending you. That's what you've gained.

06/05/2026: Disappointing! The food was terrible.
We arrived around 8:45 PM and there was nothing left, and what was left was neither good nor fresh. The plates were dirty and hadn't been washed properly. Every bite made me want to vomit. Truly awful, avoid this place. The wok dishes in general are of poor quality.
06/05/2026: Honestly, it was an excellent culinary experience. I loved everything I ate, and the selection was very varied! I'll be back!

03/06/2026: It had been a while since I'd been to this restaurant... and let me tell you... I understand why now 😩
The staff is pleasant, but it was impossible to get a table on May 31st, even though the restaurant was practically empty...
The manager wouldn't let anyone in, and no explanation was given. Very poor management... they really need to rethink how they run the place.
I waited 20 minutes, but there were many people who had been waiting much longer than me, so I gave up.
I hope for their sake it was just that one day... and that I was just unlucky 🙄
26/05/2026: Trying to get a table for 3 and got waiting for almost 30min while there were lots of empty tables inside. Service wasn’t really welcoming and kind, and there were lots of delays as well (waited for our dishes again for almost 30min). When I received my dish, it was over cooked and almost burnt (I ordered medium). Then, they took it back and brought me a second plate which was almost cold. Too bad because the food was good, but the general experience was kinda disappointing.

06/08/2024: Nous avons bien mangé dans ce restaurant très authentique portugais, étonnant de trouver ce genre de restaurant au plein centre touristique de Paris. Nous reviendrons pour la soirée fado!
28/07/2024: Agréable soirée dans un restaurant portugais typique entre la rue de Rivolî et Les Halles dans une rue étroite à proximité d’un centre Emmaús. Accueil convivial sympathique. Joli décor avec des azulejos muraux qui vous mettent dans l’ambiance. Impossible de prendre un apéritif correct avec des amuse gueule traditionnels. Juste des morceaux de pain rassis (huilés). Le serveur qui semble brésilien parle mal le français. Temps d’attente pour les plats extrêmement long, mais on vous prévient. Grand choix mais la morue est à l’honneur comme il se doit et les plats divers servis avec ce poisson sont énormes et démesurés et complètement recouverts de pommes de terre. Cela correspond presque à un repas de 2 jours. Inutile de prendre une entrée. De toute façon on cale. Pas spécialement goûteux. Excellent vin au verre. Jolies tables bien placées. Prix un peu élevés mais restent corrects. A faire pour tester mais sans plus.

La Veranda Portugaise
28/09/2024: Going there very regularly since I was little, I have seen the evolution of this magnificent hotel restaurant over the last 50 years.
Even if the decor has become a little too modern, it retains its old-fashioned charm.
Concerning the Veranda, the team takes great care, the decor and the view of the castle park are princely, the dishes divine, the wines exquisite, and the salty bill just right.😜
Well done to the whole team.
25/09/2024: This was a wonderful restaurant with great eats and a great atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed the service from the hostess stand to the table. They made me feel right at home. Everyone at this place is so professional and sweet. I noticed how helpful they are to one another helping serve dishes at the same time so everyone at the table were able to enjoy it at one time. The drinks were amazing and did not disappoint. I ordered the black tiger prawns with guacamole as an appetizer and the Irish beef aka steak with mashed potatoes. I’m literally planning my next visit here. I’m probably going to spend the rest of my trip enjoying dinner right here at La veranda! I just want to shout out my waiter and the team you all are amazing and I couldn’t ask for better french cuisine and an amazing experience!
