05/09/2026: Bad experience. Tasteless food. Avoid at all costs!!
Half the dishes on the menu were unavailable. It took over an hour to be served.
A real tourist trap.
05/09/2026: I don't know about the food or service, but I received a very poor reception when making a reservation or requesting service (the staff were very unpleasant and rude). Therefore, I didn't proceed because being treated like that is unacceptable from a "restaurant owner."
So, I give the reception a zero; I didn't have the opportunity to experience the rest of the restaurant.
I will never return. Thank you.

14/04/2026: The only bakery in the village was open, but in three days we couldn't get any bread. Once it was closed even though the sign said it was open; the second time, the baker had finished her till and still had bread, but refused to sell it to us; and finally, the third time, the bakery was open but had run out of bread by noon. It's a disaster, and on top of that, the staff isn't friendly.
14/04/2026: Dry baguette, no pleasure in eating.

22/08/2026: Frankly, the setting is superb, but the service is disappointing and the prices are expensive.
20/08/2026: Arrived at 6pm, the crepe was rubbery… Probably reheated. Not recommended for an afternoon snack.

17/08/2026: 5 euros for a soda! Nothing more to say... The rest was fine, but 5 euros for a soda!!!
15/08/2026: Rude staff (we were), not smiling (we were), and unprofessional in managing the tables. A Diablo or Perrier with mint at €5 is expensive. Elsewhere in Mont Dore or La Bourboule, it's €2.50 or €3! Even at the foot of the cable car or at the top of the funicular, it's €4!!

01/02/2026: nous sommes passe en juin 2022 , et nous y avons éte en demi pension en août 2022 une semaine , restau , hôtel , personnel et patron au top . je vous le recommande
08/01/2026: I'm a spa guest and have been going there for three years on a full-board basis.
The owner, Romain, is incredibly helpful, as are the staff. Everyone is very friendly.
As for the meals, I have no complaints; I don't eat better at home.
Discretion, respect, nothing to criticize.
Just one small drawback: the Wi-Fi quality in the rooms.

10/06/2024: Déçu de la potée Auvergnate au choux qui était très peu Garni en viande.deux bout de lard,1 rondelle de saucisson à l'ail,2 petites pommes de terre, puis le choux.Je m'attendais à une potée Auvergnate plus copieuse comme les Auvergnats savent le faire !par contre le dessert a été de bonne qualité
02/06/2024: Vraiment très bien. Menu équilibré et soigné, par bourratif et des gens vraiment sympas. Ce fût une surprise car nous n'avions prévu que de dormir à l'auberge et prévu de dîner à Compiègne.

09/07/2024: Burger auvergnat excellent ainsi que les salades très généreuses. Pas besoin de dessert mais on n'y résiste pas. Service impeccable avec serveurs au top, détendus, professionnels.
28/06/2024: Patron, clope au bec derrière le bar qui nous invite à aller à la boulangerie pour petit déjeuner, avec un air malveillant

23/07/2024: Prix exorbitant….. cuisine très moyenne la sauce aux oignons coupée à l’eau cuisine de cantine…
Accueil sympathique ..
19/07/2024: Pause repas après la montée au Puy du Sancy et quelle belle découverte. Un vrai régal, les plats sont goûteux et beaucoup de choix maison et local en dessert.
On a opté pour le sauté de porc aux pruneaux/frites maison( 24€), tartelettes aux myrtilles( 7€) et torsade Auvergnate Myrtilles/framboises.
Encore merci pour faire vivre ses endroits magnifiques sans faire de la mal bouffe 😉👍💪.
