02/01/2026: Simply the worst all-you-can-eat sushi in Lyon. The welcome was surreal, the service nonexistent, and the food awful. I don't even want to try and find anything positive, it would be such a struggle. You leave feeling ripped off!

23/05/2026: Honestly, if you're looking for a place to have a terrible night out, Le 42 in Lyon is the place to go. The atmosphere is so lifeless you can practically hear the ice melting in your drinks. The decor, all dark, old wood, is incredibly outdated; it looks like a bar stuck in 2002. Between the lifeless music and the atmosphere of a condo owners' meeting on a Monday morning, it's hard to imagine anything less welcoming.
05/04/2026: It's probably a good bar, but the clientele leaves completely drunk and keeps us awake for 3 to 4 hours. There's no regulation or management of these people who shout, smoke, and fight, like again last night...

Very mixed feelings.
The hot toast was good and indulgent, but the dessert was too sweet and cloying (peanut caramel cheesecake). The coffee was made with an automatic machine, and I didn't like it.
The service was efficient and the welcome was friendly.

24/06/2026: Very disappointed, I ordered the Lyonnaise salad and it was industrially prepared: the bacon was just fat, there were three dried-out frisée leaves and two cherry tomatoes.
04/06/2026: Disappointed.
I ordered a club sandwich for €12.50 expecting quality, but the bread was dry and stale, and the salad was limp and clearly not fresh.
I went there precisely to avoid the usual chains where the quality is often mediocre…
At that price, it's really unacceptable. If the sandwiches were from the day before, they should at least warn customers. I won't be going back.

20/08/2024: I had a great time, the terrace is great and the food is very good
19/08/2024: I came to the Cour des Miracles as part of a meal with work colleagues, the setting is really nice, the backyard is pleasant for eating lunch with beautiful shaded areas.
On the service side, the copy needs to be reviewed, just at the drinks reception half of the things ordered were not compliant, or simply forgotten. There is a lot of work to be done on this! What happened next with the dishes did not change the situation, some had finished eating the dish while others were still not served.
Concerning the dishes, they are quite simple, not necessarily generous in terms of quantity, although I had the starter + main + dessert formula, it was not enough to upset my stomach!
The starter was ok with melon + ham, despite the melon having no taste at all.
The main course was quite bland, sparse, without real presentation, and lacked taste.
The dessert was quite good without being overwhelming (crumble), my colleague's fondant (which I finished) was also good.
In short, a place on paper that is really nice, but a real gap must be made in terms of cooking for everything to be good! Few things are offered for people who do not eat meat. Too bad because there is potential!
The person who made the reservation had suggested this place because he had a good memory (great place + meal) but obviously, it was before because he also came away disappointed, just like me.
