22/07/2026: We ate here several times for an aviation camp and the welcome was very warm and the food excellent. Special mention to the staff who were lovely and very accommodating.

30/06/2026: I stumbled upon this place by chance and wasn't disappointed with the meal. Simple, good, and reasonably priced. Plus, the waiters and waitresses were friendly, each taking care of their own tables, and there was no rush, which was lovely. You don't feel rushed; I was able to take my time and enjoy my meal. I'm saving this place for my next visit! 👍👍 Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome.

03/06/2026: What I remember as a typical neighbourhoid french restaurant. The atmosphere was took me back 20 years ago when I studied here. Seemed to be more than a few students enjoying the place too. Great for my first evening back. I had the steak tartare my partner had the duck. The duck was very good the steak tartare good but not amazing. A place to go to get out of the tourist crazy mess. Oh the pig snout was tasty too.
28/04/2026: We went with friends for dinner and a couple of bottles of wine. The food was fantastic, the server treated us like old friends we could not of asked for more. We had a great time!

15/05/2026: A quaint, family-run boutique hotel exuding with character. Our tour group had a remarkable experience staying at this hotel. From the fast and organised check-in procedure greeted by their family dog, their home-cooked dinner and breakfast, and their personalised touch in every matter throughout our stay. The amenities and the facility, whilst old, holds a lot of history and character.
This hotel is a near-perfect glimpse of French country-side hospitality.

08/05/2026: A restaurant that lived up to our expectations! Pleasant and friendly staff! Exquisite and flavorful dishes of very high quality! We want to go back to try the rest of the menu! The steak tartare is simply fabulous and fantastic, a delight for the taste buds, with tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's well worth the trip!

25/07/2026: Avoid Brasserie l'Ovale at all costs! This was my second time there. The owner is incredibly unpleasant and thinks he can get away with anything. He served our main course before our aperitif. No knife or glass. On the plus side, he did offer me my cocktail 🍹 lol. Yes!!! It's unacceptable to have received your main course before your aperitif, and it was practically cold.
21/07/2026: Twenty minutes after we placed our order, the waiter realized he'd forgotten to send it to the kitchen. As a result, we weren't served for an hour. My steak tartare was tasteless; I didn't even finish it. I think Etchebest should pay a visit to this restaurant; they've got a lot to live up to.

29/05/2026: Arrived at 12:35 to find empty shelves, refused to make another sandwich, and the staff were unpleasant. Your former establishment is losing a lot of ground! Perhaps it's time to take action, and seriously. Given all these negative comments, what are you waiting for?!
20/05/2026: Ideal for a lunchtime sandwich. Sandwich + dessert + drink combo for around €8. It gets busy around noon; come around 12:35 when the crowds have thinned out, but the sandwich selection might be limited. Friendly service.

30/05/2026: The food itself was okay.
What was completely unacceptable was that it was simply charged €15 more.
The place settings (coasters) were also removed, so we only noticed it mentally as we were leaving the restaurant.
