27/03/2024: While passing through La Fleche last night we stopped at Frenchies Burger to avoid the McDonald's in the area... What a nice surprise...the burgers are delicious...made with fresh produce. The bread and meat are of high quality and the garnish is impeccable. As for the prices, frankly it's not much more expensive than a menu taken in a fast food restaurant. The icing on the cake is that the team is very nice! In short...excellent address. We will come back...

12/03/2024: A delicious experience every time! The products are of exceptional quality. I particularly like the farmer's homemade fried chicken, a real treat! Thank you for this excellent quality and impeccable service.

07/12/2023: A nice place, tastefully decorated. You can see 1 motorcycle on display and 1 old van front panel hanging on the wall without forgetting the lights in the shape of a motorcycle front light. As a standing meal, barrels are placed throughout the room. The welcome is warm. The choice on the menu is limited but this makes us understand that everything is homemade. I recommend it to you 🙂

01/04/2024: Saturday evening of Easter weekend. Once our aperitifs were ordered, we were warned: no more tartare, no more orange juice. Restriction of choice of beer. It begins badly. I had actually planned to order a tartare... a decent meal, nothing more. On the other hand, very pleasant waitress.

13/05/2024: How badly we were received! A welcome that couldn't be colder, 12:30 p.m., sunny terrace, almost empty (2 couples)... we asked the waiter if we could have lunch even without a reservation because there were 4 of us, a couple plus 2 children... the answer was: "over there » with a nod pointing to a corner of the terrace. I will make you wait to take your order with a slate turned the wrong way only to be told “there’s no such thing as lunch, it’s not the right menu”… and the waiter turns the slate… After everything comes together... the aperitif is served to us, 5 minutes later we find ourselves with the starter under our noses while we are at the first sip of our respective aperitifs. No children's dish, no offer to make a steak and fries either to be accommodating... We will take a dish to share for the children: a braised ham with a jacket potato or we ask that butter replaces the cream for personal preferences. The terrace is very sunny and we ask if there can be some shade... most certainly a hearing problem, our request will remain deaf... A couple arriving after us will decide to stand along the wall where there is still a little shadow... for the same reasons... here again, initiative... or empathy are sorely lacking. No room for 4 unfortunately. The basket of bread finished after our two starters, the children were also hungry, will no longer appear on our table... Then arrives the children's dish with a black potato... It's too much... it's okay to bother this gentleman, to not exist to the point of letting us roast in the sun, to throw dishes at us quickly... so we point out to him that the potato is black and therefore not good to eat. And his response was “well you have to cut it and eat around it.” For the only dish that the children will eat he refuses to replace a potato… 1 potato! My pallet back ordered rare arrived blue… and cold to the heart! The accompaniment, a green salad, without sauce. A group of 6 people arrive at the end of (our) meal and ask for the blind to be deployed... they are hot... they are not the only ones... and finally the man complies... thank you, we were able to have shade... and the couple next to us will also have been able to get back into the shade to drink their coffee. In short… it’s a shame. It’s a shame because the prawn terrine as a starter and the fish taken by my wife were just delicious. Proof that the man who works behind the stove is more in his place than the man who presents himself in front of customers. It’s a shame because we went to the Café de la Paix in Saint Calais on the advice of many of our friends. All not knowing what superlative to use to say how simply incredible the food and atmosphere is. The desserts arrive, a risky gourmet coffee with a calcined cannelé and a very good crème brûlée. The chef will come to see us and hear us… even if for him too the potato is ok… (you will see for yourself in the photo) and will end up apologizing for the service… apologies received and accepted even if we did not ask for them … In life we ​​choose our behavior. The waiter will offer us desserts. THANKS. My “common sense” side will make me say to myself: “to offer something that will weigh on the profitability of my business, I would rather give another potato than offer desserts.” We are not in the potato we cook, but when we slice it and when we serve it we see that it is not presentable, and for us I would say edible. We change it and then that's it. We will no longer return to the Café de la Paix, even if the chef invited us to repeat the experience so as not to remain on this bad note. The coldness, condescension and lack of empathy that this waiter showed us makes me say that it is preferable that our names do not fill the reservation book of this establishment. We can be preoccupied, sad or simply tired... nothing can excuse contempt and pettiness... especially when it comes to children.
