05/06/2024: À mes yeux, le meilleur restaurant D'Albertville, un lieu convivial tenu par un super patron et sa femme très sympa, jamais déçu de la qualité des produits, j'attends avec impatience l'ouverture du prochain restaurant pour revoir Patrick et son épouse .

24/09/2024: While looking for a good restaurant, one of my friends recommended the LA CITADELLE restaurant to me and frankly I will come back because everything was perfect, the services were taken care of, the advantage is (the chef) who the design of the restaurant does wonders for you with a terrace and a very nice panorama and to finish with the kindness of the owner with his delicious digestives and the chat etc... wow 👌

20/08/2024: After reading the superb comments we ate the menu at 23 euros which was excellent from start to finish. END. Well done to the chef and the young waiters and waitresses. Clean toilets everything is excellent. Continue like this without increasing the price please :-)

08/12/2024: Very disappointed! the hot hot food is simply not good, a very pronounced nutty aftertaste, the pancakes were good but nothing extraordinary, the welcome....: the 2 people in the kitchen are unpleasant and unfriendly. Only the newly recruited waitress was very pleasant! And the salty note!! I won't go back!

10/01/2025: To start off, the food is amazing, but portions are not worth the price. I recommend the Chicken Kadhai and Garlic Naan. The Lassi is amazing too, it is not only tasty but served in the traditional Punjabi glass. Also, the veg samosa was tasty as well with really fresh chutneys. Now, coming the owner and the "unique" service we got. We tried to call the restaurant at around 7pm on a weekday but no one picked up. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty except for a table of 2 and a table of 4. There was already a party of 4 people were waiting and asking to be seated. The owner said every table in the house was reserved. We also asked and were told the same thing. Until this point, everybody was conversing in French. Since we are from India, we tried asking in Hindi. We also pointed at the table for 2 which did not have a reserved plaque on them. He told us that the tables can't be moved and hence a party of 4 cannot sit. As we were quite hungry after a day of sledging in Val Thorens, we suggested that we can sit separately, 2 on each table. He reluctantly accepted. The 4 people who were there before us then started speaking in English and demanded that they be seated too. They were also ready to sit separately. (They were two girls and two guys. You could guess they were somewhere from middle-east as the girls were wearing hijab). As we sat on, he continued to refuse service to random people, but we did see 2 french couples (they were separate, not a party of 4) seated without any questions or hassle or any confrontation as we had. Until this point, we were all ready to give the owner the benefit of the doubt, as the food was amazing. And we were served the order food well. As we finished,a on were ready to pay, the owner told us in Hindi, that because we are speaking same language and are from same land he let us sit. And he was forced to sit the other 4 people because he let us sit. He went on to tell that he has to "maintain" a good reputation, as "these" people cause his restaurant's reputation to go down. Here I confirmed what I suspected, but I would let you draw your own conclusions. This is why I gave the restaurant 1 star. If you are in the "good" demographic, you will be served well. Otherwise, just don't bother going here. Edit: I read some other reviews and this seems to be the pattern of the owner to refuse service for "random" reasons. But I am sure the owner has an "algorithm" for Refusal.

14/07/2024: The restaurant seems inconspicuous at first glance and when we arrived there in the early evening there were initially no other guests present. But then: The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Delicious salad and huge pizzas at a relatively affordable price, we can recommend this without reservation.

01/09/2024: If you pass through Alberville it is imperative to stop at this magical place. Discreet but friendly, this restaurant offers dishes from starters to homemade and above all original desserts without forgetting the very pleasant welcome and the kindness and professionalism of the waiters. We loved this establishment so much that we returned when we returned from vacation. Really worth discovering.

You absolutely must go to Saint Michel, at the back of the gallery, rue de la République because you will always be well received there. Coming from Toulouse, we were on vacation in Albertville and we went there 3 times in 10 days. It has always been a real pleasure… Thank you for your welcome and your kindness
