14/07/2026: Very welcoming and understanding, a quiet little spot which is very pleasant on vacation. Generous portions and good food. Very affordable price for a snack or afternoon tea break, it's perfect. You don't always need to spend a fortune to have a good time.
07/07/2026: After a long, winding ride on my motorcycle, I think it's the perfect place to stop for a good sandwich. Just forget about the prices of sandwiches we have in Italy. The staff is friendly and helpful.

05/04/2026: We stopped at Chalet des Mérégers on a recommendation for their pizza. The welcome was warm, and we were told to expect a 40-minute wait, which was fine. The drinks arrived quickly. But then… nothing.
After 30 minutes, our glasses were empty, and the waitress had disappeared. At 60 minutes, we asked where the pizza was: "It's coming." At 75 minutes, the same thing happened: "It's on its way." After an hour and a half, we left without eating.
What disappointed us most was the attitude: whenever we asked questions, the waitress seemed annoyed, as if we were difficult customers. The beginning was promising, but the friendliness quickly evaporated. Avoid.

06/06/2026: I was very disappointed by the reception from the staff, who were extremely rude. The meal was bland and tasteless, apart from the canned vegetables. It's a shame, as the atmosphere is perhaps the only redeeming feature. I would only recommend it if you haven't eaten in three days.
02/04/2026: Great place for an evening with friends! We enjoyed a delicious fondue, cold beers, and a perfect tiramisu. The warm and stylish decor made the atmosphere even more pleasant.

12/07/2026: Last-minute stay, one phone call and it was all sorted. Booking made with complete confidence over the phone. Modern, quiet, comfortable, and very clean room. Excellent meals, enjoyed on-site, with attentive service.
We will definitely return; the conversation with Alexandre and his warm welcome made all the difference (that's my Norman side showing 😉).
29/06/2026: We spent one night at this hotel during our motorcycle road trip on the RGA. The location is pleasant and the rooms are adequate, but the restaurant was very disappointing. The salad advertised with homemade smoked duck breast and homemade foie gras arrived without duck breast (it was replaced with smoked ham) or foie gras, consisting mainly of salad and a few pieces of Beaufort cheese. The ham tasted questionable. The dessert selection was very limited and unappealing; we ultimately decided to go elsewhere for a decent dessert. The next day, my wife was ill (vomiting, stomach pains), which forced us to stop at a pharmacy, strongly suggesting a problem related to the meal. Not ideal for a motorcycle trip. We do not recommend the restaurant at this establishment.

17/04/2026: The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and always available.
The accommodation was perfect for us, as there were only two of us in a six-person apartment. It's true that our children, who were sharing with two other couples and two babies in the same apartment, were a little more cramped, especially the couple who slept in the small bedroom. But it was just for sleeping.
The location is beautiful. The only downside is that, outside of school holidays, the last shuttle bus leaves at 7:30 pm, which makes late-night outings with strollers difficult, as the hill is a bit steep.
The swimming pool is a great bonus for relaxing, and the halal food is a real treat.
We will be back.
04/04/2026: Excellent location beside a blue ski run and with an excellent bus service - very friendly and helpful maintenance staff but unfortunately we needed their help - the hot water tank leaked allover the apartment and the dripping and anxiety kept us awake on our last night. Minor but also a bit frustrating the bath plug was ill fitting and the bath would not hold water.. all in all the location was excellent - the accommodation was as advertised but we had unexpected maintenance issues

09/08/2024: Probably one of the best coffees in Valloire. WiFi, clean toilets, wide selection of tasty drinks. In summer the terrace is shaded, it’s pleasant.
Now I notice in 2024 that time is passing and so are the prices, this is a global observation in Valloire (not specific to the Mountain Café), but therefore we have to make trade-offs :/ .
As for the service at the bar, I imagine that initially it was for reasons of budget balance, however now with prices skyrocketing everywhere, I prefer to choose a place where the service is included (simple tourist observation ).
I still enjoy going there, but less often than before.

31/03/2024: Excellent. Comme à chaque fois les plats sont très bien cuisiné. Les paupiettes pommes grenailles sont très bonnes. La sauce morilles une tueurie. Merci à eux d’avoir ouvert malgré les mauvaises conditions météo. Nous reviendrons sans problème. Le thymel est une valeur sûre.
09/03/2024: Au milieu des pistes, endroit super sympa au soleil.
Belle terrasse, service self pour la pause déjeuner avec du choix.
Petite pause bien agréable
