05/04/2026: We stopped at Chalet des Mérégers on a recommendation for their pizza. The welcome was warm, and we were told to expect a 40-minute wait, which was fine. The drinks arrived quickly. But then… nothing.
After 30 minutes, our glasses were empty, and the waitress had disappeared. At 60 minutes, we asked where the pizza was: "It's coming." At 75 minutes, the same thing happened: "It's on its way." After an hour and a half, we left without eating.
What disappointed us most was the attitude: whenever we asked questions, the waitress seemed annoyed, as if we were difficult customers. The beginning was promising, but the friendliness quickly evaporated. Avoid.

02/04/2026: Great place for an evening with friends! We enjoyed a delicious fondue, cold beers, and a perfect tiramisu. The warm and stylish decor made the atmosphere even more pleasant.

27/04/2026: It's a shame the hotel accepts reservations even when it's not open! What a surprise to be able to book, receive confirmation emails, and then arrive in the evening to find the hotel closed!
This is the kind of inconvenience I could have done without the day before the JB Cup when I was with my 7-year-old and all the other hotels were fully booked!
21/02/2026: We didn't stay there, we just dined at the restaurant. The staff weren't particularly friendly, except for one young woman. The coffee is much better at the Boulange bar-restaurant. As for the food, it was clearly very low quality, especially considering the high prices we were paying for a mountain experience. The vegetarian penne had no flavor whatsoever. The open-faced sandwich/salad starter was unappealing. The diot sausage was swimming in oil, served with fries that I suspect had been microwaved. They looked golden and crispy, but once you tasted them, they were completely unappetizing.
For this restaurant, I recommend going elsewhere.

17/04/2026: The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and always available.
The accommodation was perfect for us, as there were only two of us in a six-person apartment. It's true that our children, who were sharing with two other couples and two babies in the same apartment, were a little more cramped, especially the couple who slept in the small bedroom. But it was just for sleeping.
The location is beautiful. The only downside is that, outside of school holidays, the last shuttle bus leaves at 7:30 pm, which makes late-night outings with strollers difficult, as the hill is a bit steep.
The swimming pool is a great bonus for relaxing, and the halal food is a real treat.
We will be back.
04/04/2026: Excellent location beside a blue ski run and with an excellent bus service - very friendly and helpful maintenance staff but unfortunately we needed their help - the hot water tank leaked allover the apartment and the dripping and anxiety kept us awake on our last night. Minor but also a bit frustrating the bath plug was ill fitting and the bath would not hold water.. all in all the location was excellent - the accommodation was as advertised but we had unexpected maintenance issues

09/08/2024: Probably one of the best coffees in Valloire. WiFi, clean toilets, wide selection of tasty drinks. In summer the terrace is shaded, it’s pleasant.
Now I notice in 2024 that time is passing and so are the prices, this is a global observation in Valloire (not specific to the Mountain Café), but therefore we have to make trade-offs :/ .
As for the service at the bar, I imagine that initially it was for reasons of budget balance, however now with prices skyrocketing everywhere, I prefer to choose a place where the service is included (simple tourist observation ).
I still enjoy going there, but less often than before.

31/03/2024: Excellent. Comme à chaque fois les plats sont très bien cuisiné. Les paupiettes pommes grenailles sont très bonnes. La sauce morilles une tueurie. Merci à eux d’avoir ouvert malgré les mauvaises conditions météo. Nous reviendrons sans problème. Le thymel est une valeur sûre.

Belle terrasse, service self pour la pause déjeuner avec du choix.

25/08/2024: Très bonne expérience pour une nuit en demi pension, Bonne accueil , chambre confortable,dîner demi pension très bon, petit déjeuner buffet parfait.
04/08/2024: Séjour du 28 juillet au 1er aout, en demi-pension, dans ce charmant hôtel que je recommande vivement! Calme, simplicité amabilité er serviabilité du personnel, tout était parfait, accompagné d 'une météo grand beau! seul bémol pas de connexion internet , provisoirement. Un bon rapport qualité/prix de surcroit.
Nous y retournerons sans hésitation.
