23/04/2026: Terrible experience! A restaurant we'll never set foot in again: we had booked for lunch and didn't want to be seated on the veranda, but we were shown to a room at the back, near the kitchen. The floor was sticky underfoot, and we had to wait ages to be served while takeout orders were being passed around. Luckily, the chicken pad thai was good, but the coconut balls had been microwaved and were served melted!

01/04/2026: We went to the outlet today and grabbed a bite to eat at Kaimug for lunch. They had delicious and authentic bao buns (pulled beef or tofu). We also had their homemade wontons. We'll have to come back just for those! For our main course, my boyfriend had chicken with sweet and sour sauce. It was still crispy and piping hot! Almost all the staff spoke excellent German. We were very happy with our meal!

31/03/2026: Having eaten in Thai restaurants before, I found absolutely nothing of Thailand in this one. The rice wasn't sticky, but rather dry and sticky; the noodles were inseparable; and the spring rolls weren't rolls at all, they were just overcooked breadcrumbs. Avoid this place at all costs.

11/02/2026: An excellent choice for Thai food lovers! A very pleasant restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and, above all, an incredibly warm welcome. The Thai cuisine is excellent, flavorful, and clearly prepared with passion—you can taste the genuine homemade quality, cooked with love. As a devoted fan of Thai food, my only slight reservation—a very personal one—concerns the level of spice, which is rather mild to suit the French palate. As someone who prefers bolder flavors, I would have gladly appreciated a bit more heat… but this doesn't detract from the quality of the dishes! Special mention for the desserts, absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. Chop tee née ran ahaan! A roy maak! (I highly recommend this restaurant—it's very good!)

25/02/2026: We had another excellent evening at L’Orchidée. We don't come to Riez often, but when we do, we know this is the place to go for a good meal. The manager/cook/waitress is very welcoming.
