27/08/2026: Hello, I'm leaving a review so others don't throw their money away. We ordered two set menus at €33 each: starter, main course, and dessert, accompanied by a 1L bottle of Vittel water for €5.90 and an extra 40 cents each for mint. The bill should have been €72.70, but we were charged €74! Probably because my brother ordered mayonnaise. The wait was interminable, even though we were the first ones there. Regular customers were served before us, even though they arrived more than 15 minutes after us. If it had just been for the starter, it would have been fine, but it was the whole meal. The wait between courses was at least 30 minutes. The owner was completely unfriendly while serving us. And she blamed our being overlooked on her regular customers, with whom she was very pleasant. Let's not even talk about the meal. The plates were practically empty, with tiny pieces of salad, two radish slices, one cucumber slice, no sauce, and the presentation was nonexistent. My brother ordered cheese instead of dessert, which was just a pile of rabbit salad with nothing else on it, thrown together haphazardly. The main course consisted of two small pieces of meat, barely scraping by, served with homemade fries with the skin on—a portion fit for a five-year-old. The wait for the sauce was also 30 minutes. We were completely ignored throughout the meal, but hey, we didn't come here to be liked, we came to eat well. The only positive points were the view and the open air, and my dessert, which was artisanal ice cream, but again, it was the same story: they forgot about us for 20-25 minutes while others who arrived much later already had their ice cream (the bottom scoop had already melted). Whether it's my brother or me, we feel the same way and we won't be going back, except maybe for ice cream to share a moment together in the cool evening air! And I haven't even said everything, because otherwise it would have taken me over an hour to write! Try this restaurant and your wallet will cry. At worst, order a burger and fries, which seemed more substantial than what I had on my plate. I don't eat much to begin with, and frankly, when I left, I felt like I'd barely eaten anything, SHAMEFUL. Arrived at 7:05 PM, left after 9:10 PM for a 3-course meal, seriously?!

21/08/2026: A rather mixed experience at Chalet du Lac. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. I had ordered rare meat, but it arrived very rare, which was disappointing. The "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) didn't really enhance the meal: a quarter of a waffle broken into pieces and a rather dry cake… One expects something a bit more elaborate for a "café gourmand." In short, it wasn't bad, but I wasn't truly impressed by the experience. A shame.

12/08/2026: Great spot right off the motorway! Friendly welcome from the managers, quick service, and ample parking for trucks and vans. Only minor drawbacks: the shower is a bit small and the water is a little warm in summer.

19/08/2026: The food was very good and the service was smooth, but the portions were really insufficient. I ordered a "large" menu, yet I felt like I'd only eaten an appetizer. The container was half empty… I had to go somewhere else to get another course to fill myself up. For almost 15 euros, that's an expensive meal…

A very warm welcome, an excellent meal with fresh, local produce, and lovely service and a pleasant terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and relaxed. 🙂 I don't often give reviews, but this one is more than justified. We recommend it 100%!

28/07/2026: A wonderful discovery in the heart of Concarneau. The owner does everything from start to finish. The flavors are excellent, the dishes are beautifully presented: a truly great place. We will gladly return.

02/09/2026: A disappointing experience at Shanti this evening. As a lover of Indian cuisine and a vegetarian, I was excited to discover the dishes offered by this restaurant. I ordered an Indian platter, an assortment of different items ranging from appetizer to dessert (original!). Most of the food was sorely lacking in flavor: bland rice, rather dry salad, and canned tabbouleh (we saw the can). I didn't find anywhere the wonderful blend of spices, aromas, and flavors that characterizes Indian cuisine. For that, the restaurant would have needed to use fresh ingredients... There was also some kind of purée (hummus?) on my plate; it had a strange taste, I think it had gone bad... The waiter didn't seem concerned after these remarks. For a so-called "Indian" platter costing nearly €20, it's very disappointing, both in terms of taste and cultural significance... The mango lassi I ordered to accompany the platter was equally bland. The quality of the food offered seems inconsistent, however, as my partner ordered a potiwrap and samosas that were very good! On the plus side, the service was very fast and the welcome was pleasant. In short, a restaurant that offers many vegetarian dishes but is only Indian in name and decor. It would be more accurate to call it vegetarian fast food with a mystical atmosphere! --- I had a stomachache the night after eating there... Definitely avoid the Indian platter.

27/08/2026: Terribly rude. Left feeling like trying to stop for a drink was illegal. Cant speak to the food, cause the mere act of not ordering as soon as we sat down nearly landed me with spit in the face so didn’t get that far. Has left a foul taste in my mouth in relation to Annecy itself, hoping to turn it around because it’s such a beautiful town. Do not recommend La Galějade.

28/10/2025: Strange experience. Negative points: The owner was smoking a cigarette outside the table at 7:30 pm when we arrived. There were two forks instead of one and a knife on the table. The table next to us wasn't fully set. There were stains on the tablecloth on the side facing the customer. Only one red wine was available (due to a delivery issue...) and it was served cold because "it's just come from the cellar, you'll have to wait a bit"... (if there were no other wines, why wasn't it at least brought to room temperature beforehand??). The scallop risotto was underwhelming, far from being a risotto, with barely two scallops on the plate. The starter was a trio of foie gras, including pan-seared foie gras served on a chilled plate. There was a 30-minute wait between courses (and there were only six tables). The desserts were uninspired and expensive, especially for a mass-produced chocolate fondant (15 euros, just the Metro brand fondant, and a scoop of store-bought sorbet). The owner was smoking a cigarette at 8:50 pm (in the company of the chef, so it's no wonder we waited 30 minutes between courses), so we went outside to ask for the bill. I asked where the restrooms were, and the owner said, "Wait, I'll go check, I haven't had time to clean them," and flushed the toilet in front of me... no soap. That's outrageous. Positive points: The welcome was still friendly. The food was well-prepared, the ingredients were good, but nothing was exceptional, even if the techniques and cooking methods were sound. For example, the scallop risotto was far from being a risotto, and inexplicably topped with the same garnish as all the other dishes (the same one I had on my tournedos Rossini): a mix of sautéed vegetables, including potatoes. About the risotto... The place is quite unusual. An experience costing 100 euros for two, but not worth it. A shame. 100 euros is a lot of money.

17/10/2025: Extremely good. Even at past midnight, you could eat. Lovely place. We were the only two that late night. Clear, cosy and romantic. Fresh products, nice attendance. Tasty. My girlfriend said orgasmic. Served by the Chef himself. Not as expensive as it should be. A place to recommend, no doubt.

28/08/2026: I was a little worried at first since I have never been to an entirely vegan/raw restaurant. I was completely mind blown. It was Spectacular!

19/08/2026: An amazing experience! We eat vegan and gluten-free, so we were very happy to find a restaurant where we could enjoy everything on the menu. The raw food concept was completely new to us. While it wasn’t quite our personal taste and we probably wouldn’t come back specifically for the food, that’s simply a matter of personal preference. Everything was beautifully presented, the service was super friendly, and many of the different flavours were really surprising and interesting. Definitely a special experience and worth trying if you enjoy discovering something new!
