04/02/2026: Beyond the very unusual window display that piqued my curiosity, and the friendly welcome, I don't usually leave restaurant reviews, but this papaya salad with dried chicken won me over! A discovery, bursting with flavor! The ingredients blended perfectly, and it was so fresh (a more than generous portion for a starter). It was a pleasant surprise, as I'm often tired of the bland and similar starters at other restaurants. I also ordered Thai ravioli, which wasn't quite as amazing, but just as good. To each their own, as they say! However, the dessert, banana cake with coconut milk, was a huge thank you!! I'd been looking for something like that in the 13th arrondissement for ages, and it was absolutely divine, truly.

11/12/2025: We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. We had the Boeuf Loc Lac and the Poulet Bo Bun and it was very good! Plenty of local Parisiens dining here which is always a good sign. Would recommend 100%.

07/02/2026: It's time for me to leave a review after 27 years. I've been going since 1998, when I was 7 years old, and my mother used to take us there. For me, Khai Tri remains the best Vietnamese sandwich in the 13th arrondissement. Today, I still go, and this time I'm bringing my wife and children, and they love it. My wife will ONLY eat Vietnamese sandwiches from Khai Tri and nowhere else. The recipe has never changed, and every bite takes me back to my childhood memories. Thank you to the team 🙏

29/01/2026: This is a good place for banh mi. The pork in the special is good; the slices are quite thin, and you can really taste the pork fat. The service is fast; this little sandwich shop is run by Vietnamese people. Traditional Vietnamese desserts and drinks are on sale. There's also a small wall where desserts are sold. The place is clean; I recommend it.

02/02/2026: An amazing restaurant! The manager and the waiter are incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering helpful advice and bringing us nougat, tea, and other small treats with great kindness. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic, it's quite small and cozy; I can't recommend this place highly enough and I will definitely be back!! 💞

05/12/2025: We ate here last night while staying at the Hyatt Regency Etoile in Paris. The food was so good! We had egg rolls, fried shrimp and dumplings for appetizers and then shared a bowl of the duck soup (so good and on a cold night it sure hit the spot!) Topped it off with green teas ice cream. I would definitely recommend for a very reasonably priced and tasty meal!

30/10/2025: An exceptional welcome, superb service from the owner, and sublime quality of food. If I'm ever in Paris, near the Gare de Lyon, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Mei Xi. All this at an affordable price. (I can't even suck in my stomach!)

We immediately felt at ease, like we were at home. The food is delicious and authentic.
