Ah, the Café de la Préfecture... It's a bit like the rain after the harvest, it comes at the right time, but without making waves. They say that the best soups are made in old pots, and here, you can tell that the pot has been brewing for ages. The atmosphere is like an old cracking vinyl: it creaks a little, but that’s what gives it the taste. Between two bites, we tell ourselves that everything comes to those who wait, and the chef understands that well. In short, he who goes slowly goes surely, and here, we go straight to the heart.

You must eat here if you are in Albi or near Albi! The staff are genuinely friendly and patiently explain what the menu may be. This changes every day and is therefore a surprise. The quality is fantastic, we had a surprisingly delicious meal, complete with good local wine and a dessert from Syria. The restaurant is located a little outside the center, but feel free to take a detour...it is highly recommended. We are happy that we found this restaurant and hope to come back again!

Great place to eat. They have a 1, 2 or 3 course menu. Very good prices 12, 16 and 19 euros, the latter with starter, main and dessert. Extraordinary service, professionalism and above all kindness and friendliness. The owner makes an effort to speak Spanish at all times, making our stay very pleasant. The recommended dessert of candied pear, very good. What else to say, since it is totally recommended and we hope to return

We had lunch two days in this restaurant, the first with a menu of the day and the second with the large buffet. Both days the food was delicious! And also with a great quality-price ratio. The treatment was also exquisite. We loved it, 100% recommended!! We would return without a doubt.

Hemos venido por las críticas y pq hablaban castellano y que gran sorpresa, el dueño habla Castellano.pero las camareras intentan entenderte o sea servicio 5/5. En cuanto a la comida yo repetiría cada plato, estaban deliciosos simples pero perfectos un sabor 🤤🤤🤤 El postre una mención a parte delicious En la simplicidad está la excelencia. Altamente recomendable
