Ah, at least I ate a good meal, not like at La Rapière, where I almost had to pay extra for the slug that was wandering around in my €26 salad.

Not bad. That said, I don't like being taken for a fool. I asked the waitress what Sarladaise-style potatoes meant. She explained that they were potatoes cooked in a very fatty way, without giving any further details. I told her that I thought they were potatoes cooked in duck fat, and she replied that no, that's not the case. I imagine that the term "style" allows for a new take on the recipe; it would have been nice to clarify that without lying.

Food was a bit variable, my wife's fish was superb but my Cassoulet was a bit dull and flavourless. But lovely atmosphere, great location, spotlessly clean, desserts were very good, lovely Belgian beer and the waitresses were charming and helpful.

Food not exceptional: salad wilted with foie gras, Sarladaise potatoes swimming in fat, the quantities were very frugal. On the other hand, the waitresses were very friendly and pleasant but very rushed, the services followed one after the other. We were inside and their repeated visits, their announcing of dishes, their stress to serve as quickly as possible, were quite overwhelming. Not a great memory...

Le Jardin des Consuls

03/01/2026: We ate there for New Year's Eve. A very elegant meal with high-quality ingredients, and very pleasant service. A special shout-out to the waiter who made the vinaigrette! 😂😂 I recommend it.

31/01/2026: We had a very good time. The food is excellent and the service is very efficient and friendly.
21/01/2026: The food was very high quality, homemade, and delicious, but the evening was very long because we waited a very long time for our dishes, and to top it off, we couldn't pay by card because the Wi-Fi was down. Luckily, there was an ATM nearby, and the waitress was pleasant. I recommend it, but don't be in a hurry! 🤗
