27/07/2026: So happy to find this restaurant open on a **SUNDAY** while we were staying overnight in Laon. The pizzas were delicious, with freshly made bases, and there was a great selection of other dishes on the menu too. We all chose pizzas, but the salads looked amazing as well. The restaurant is tucked away in a beautiful side street, making it a real hidden gem. The service was excellent too. We would definitely visit again.

01/08/2026: Family lunch with a 2-year-old on a Friday. The welcome was fantastic. It was hard to choose as the options were all so tempting. The dishes were sophisticated, made with high-quality ingredients. Everything was delicious. We had a very pleasant time.

18/08/2026: Excellent experience at Buffalo Grill in Laon! The service was quick, the restaurant was very clean and quiet. The staff were truly warm and welcoming, which made the meal very enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

13/08/2026: August 11, 2026. As a family, we were looking forward to going to this restaurant. It looked promising in the photos. Once there, it indeed looked nice and well-presented; the menu also looked fine, with something for everyone. I saw several steaks listed on the menu. I do like a hearty piece of meat and decided to order one. Not much later, the order was served. I had asked if they could make the steak medium-rare. So, I expected a nice, warm, tender piece of meat. This was a huge disappointment. The steak was not tender—it had a huge amount of tendons in it—but what I found particularly bad is that it was simply cold. As if it had been placed on the grill for 2 seconds on the left side and 2 seconds on the right side straight out of the fridge. This bothered me greatly. I regularly eat steak at various restaurants abroad while on vacation. And for that price, I expect a good piece of tender, warm meat. Unfortunately, it was a waste of the meat and my money.

17/04/2026: Delicious combination of kidneys and sweetbreads. Perfect sauce. We were craving fries. Very friendly welcome. Impeccable service.

08/04/2026: A welcoming and very clean establishment. A simple coffee becomes a little moment of bliss!

30/04/2026: Good, slightly dated hotel in the old center of Laon. The reception was particularly friendly, and the owners provided exceptionally nice assistance during the stay. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the hotel garage. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, and the sights. Breakfast is extensive, with delicious jam.

28/04/2026: Excellent welcome at this old-fashioned but clean hotel, very well located in the venerable episcopal city. Everything is a bit crooked, but who cares... the welcome is friendly and the parking spaces are less than fifty meters away.

25/07/2026: A truly wonderful experience with the signature menu, which gave the chef free rein. Each dish was refined, creative, and perfectly executed. An excellent restaurant that I recommend without hesitation!

18/07/2026: Too bad no air conditioning at 33 degrees, otherwise everything is great.

07/07/2026: Having lunch at the foot of the cathedral with a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert for under €20 in the middle of July is a real bargain. Add to that the quality of the dishes, like the truly excellent salmon tartare and the delicious savory buckwheat crepes, and the quick service with friendly staff, and you'll definitely want to go back.

05/07/2026: An extremely disappointing experience. After waiting for over an hour, we were finally served for a simple order consisting of a children's meal, a flank steak with fries, and a beer. The most frustrating part was that the dishes didn't even arrive at the same time. My daughter had to eat alone to prevent her meal from getting cold, while I was still waiting for mine. Ten minutes after her meal was served, mine still hadn't arrived. So I went to the waitress to tell her that I was refusing to be served: I no longer saw the point in eating when my daughter had almost finished her meal. Throughout the meal, we had to ask for things several times. In particular, we asked for a carafe of water, which never arrived. After having to ask for everything repeatedly without success, we finally gave up. As if that weren't enough, when it came time for dessert on the children's menu, the waitress presented the different crepes available and told us we could choose a Nutella crepe. So we made that choice. Upon arrival, it turned out to be a simple chocolate crepe, which obviously didn't taste the same. When we asked if it was possible to have Nutella, we were told it wasn't. After waiting for over an hour, with numerous oversights and such disorganized service, we expected at least a gesture of goodwill or simply an effort to satisfy the customer. Again, nothing. Such a long wait would be difficult to accept even if the quality were there, but unfortunately, it wasn't. The fries were clearly frozen, and the entire meal was very ordinary, with nothing to justify such a long wait. In the end, between the interminable wait, the dishes served at different times, the repeated oversights, the complete lack of responsiveness, and the total effort to rectify the numerous malfunctions, this experience was particularly disappointing. We will not be returning.
