13/08/2026: Good if you’re looking for a fast Thai meal. The service was very attentive. The Pad Thai was decent but nothing to write home about.

07/08/2026: Loklac isn't great. For €14.90 plus a fried egg with 11 pieces of beef, frankly, life in the Marais is only for Parisian hipsters. In the 13th arrondissement, for the same price you get twice the amount of beef. What a shame.

23/08/2026: Good all-you-can-eat buffet. The price/quality ratio is satisfactory. The service is very friendly.

23/08/2026: Not great, and the meals aren't much better; they don't have much taste and there's even less choice.

20/07/2026: We ordered from their website and weren't disappointed. The prices are affordable, the food is good, and we even got two free drinks. The delivery took a little while, but the food arrived cold where it needed to be and hot where it needed to be. We'll definitely order from you again!

07/07/2026: I'm a regular at this restaurant, especially for takeout, which is excellent (quality, very fast service). However, we dined at Chammie Sushi on a Monday evening, and the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant was practically empty, and some employees were quite unpleasant. Dishes took almost an hour to arrive, others were forgotten, we had to repeatedly ask for our order to be served, and some plates were cold because they'd been left on the counter for too long... all of this was met with an irritated response from the waiter. I don't recommend dining in; opt for takeout instead.

05/08/2026: Everything is good, it's small but very friendly, there's not much choice, everything I've tasted has been good. I've been to quite a few Chinese restaurants in Moselle, many have gone downhill, but this one is always top-notch. P.S. The vegetarian spring rolls are amazing!

02/08/2026: One star because zero is outrageous! There's absolutely no choice, and the food tastes awful, bordering on stale. First and last time.

29/08/2026: Okay, okay, okay, where to begin? At the beginning? Here goes: There are places we discover, others we appreciate, and then there are those that end up becoming part of our routines and memories. Palais Banh Bao is definitely one of those for us. This story goes back more than 25 years. We knew the restaurant when it was in Queuleu, then when it moved to Rue du Palais in Metz, and then in Verny, throughout its entire run. Today, we're also loyal to the Augny location (for both convenience and loyalty). After all these years and despite several locations, several things haven't changed: the pleasure of rediscovering this Asian cuisine that we love so much, with recipes that remain true to their origins and a genuine attention to flavors and to the customers. Among our must-tries, we have a particular fondness for the bo bun and ga bun salads, the spring rolls (which we've literally tried all of over the years: imperial, crab, chicken, and shrimp), as well as the shrimp fritters. As for main dishes, shrimp rice is also one of our all-time favorites, and we simply can't forget the savory banh bao, which are a real treat. For those with a sweet tooth, the chocolate and lotus-flavored banh bao are also worth trying <3 We also really enjoy the pho soup (which is made to order, so it's best to place an order at least the day before... and not at 4 a.m. for the 10 a.m. opening service, okay? Be consistent xD), the Ha Kao dumplings, Siu Mai, and stuffed crabs are also a real delight. In short, over the years, we've had plenty of time to sample a good portion of the menu and find many (MANY) reasons to return. ^^ This cuisine respects traditional recipes and flavors; thank you for preserving your culinary and cultural heritage <3. Of course, you have to enjoy this type of cuisine and its characteristic flavors, but for those who do, it's a true delight. A small word of caution, however, for those with sensitive palates or digestive issues: some sauces and seasonings can be quite spicy. Nothing that would prevent you from enjoying them—quite the contrary—but it's good to know if you're particularly sensitive to spices or strong sauces. After more than 25 years, if we continue to follow this establishment from one location to the next, it's certainly no coincidence. ;) It's simply because we find there a cuisine we love, recipes we appreciate, a charming and respectful staff at all levels; but above all, an establishment that has managed to retain our loyalty over the decades: as much for its cuisine as for its respect for the customer. (If, of course, the customer is respectable: you wouldn't say "thank you" to someone who insults you ;) Besides, for those eternally dissatisfied people who are never satisfied, just learn this: "hello, thank you, have a nice day, goodbye." It's amazing how much these simple words, taught to you as soon as you can speak "normally," can mean to the people who feed you and work for you...) A huge thank you and my eternal gratitude to Palais Banh Bao for all the wonderful meals and memories =) With you, we know what "the art of fine dining" truly means <3 More than 25 years later, we're still here =) PS: This establishment is an Asian caterer with Vietnamese roots. Keep that in mind before you insult them because they don't serve nuggets. You're going to Palais Banh Bao, not McDonald's ;)

22/08/2026: Friendly staff but a bit lacking in atmosphere

26/07/2026: Arriving at 8 pm on a Saturday night with an empty buffet and seeing the restaurant empty was already a turn-off. I understood why when I saw the buffet... This restaurant is a disaster!!! It's cheap, but there's practically nothing on the buffet.

17/07/2026: They offer two drinks per person during service. You could say it's a typical all-you-can-eat restaurant, with fewer options than Chinese restaurants like WOK, which only offers one drink, but it's not bad for eating a few Asian dishes. Unfortunately, for the past few years, I've had the impression that prices have gone up while high-cost items are being removed, meaning parts of what's offered are being reduced to increase profit margins. A bit like shrinking. Is the company struggling? Are they trying to increase their margins? I just hope the situation improves.
