23/03/2026: We were a group of 48 who had come for the carnival. We had booked a restaurant in advance with a very specific restriction for me: no fish. We were offered a set menu (normal for 48 people) with gravlax salmon as a starter, which was served to me just like everyone else. I said, "No salmon for me," and the waiter retorted, "And why not?" "You were warned, sir. The guide confirmed it." Anyway, my plate was taken away, and I waited. The others had practically finished their starters when a plate was brought to me, and the waiter announced, "crispy rice." So, rice, molded into the shape of a breaded fish stick and pan-fried. Taste-wise, there was none. I asked a waitress why nothing had been prepared for me, and she stammered that she hadn't seen the bill. Fine. But why serve me RICE when everyone else had salmon? She mumbled "sorry" and disappeared. And that was it. No apology from anyone. My impression: a complete rip-off, because I paid the same price as everyone else. So even though the next course was very good (the portions were rather small), I'm only giving it one star to highlight the staff's unprofessionalism and the waiter's coldness. I'll come back to Limoux, but certainly not to this restaurant.

05/04/2026: There were four of us for lunch.
It was sunny on the terrace, and Coco brought us a really cool hat to keep us cool.
The food was delicious; the duck was spectacular.
We were treated very well.

07/02/2026: My partner, our two children, and I came for dinner this evening. We received a very warm welcome. The waitstaff were wonderful. The meal was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be back!

13/04/2026: First time, he got my order wrong and gave me ice cream instead.
Second time, he gave me half my order.
Third time, he forgot to remove the salad from the burger, even though we ordered it. We paid for one item in each Mario meal, so normally two, but we only got one. Basically, if you don't check before you leave, it's a gamble; you'll get a surprise when you get home.

17/01/2026: A very well-located hotel and restaurant in Limoux, with owners and their niece who take excellent care of their guests. That's worth its weight in gold.
18/11/2025: Lunch break today.
The staff were friendly, pleasant, efficient, and easygoing.
And the set menu far exceeded our expectations.
It was really good.
All at a price that can't be beat.
We'll definitely be back to try the menu next time 😉

25/12/2025: This is the second year in a row we've ordered yule logs. The first year it was supposed to be chestnut, but there weren't any. This year it's mandarin, but the mandarin is frozen. Furthermore, the cream is grainy, watery, and doesn't look very appealing. Very disappointed.

05/04/2026: I'm only reviewing the hotel since we didn't use the restaurant. It's a very interesting place: a former 16th-century convent converted into a hotel. The decor is in a 19th-century style with curious details. A grand staircase with a red carpet leads up to the guest room floors. Our room, for five people, consisted of three separate areas and was spacious. It was very clean. It's a very quiet place where you sleep very well. We were able to park right in front of the hotel very easily. There's a market on Mondays, and parking is not allowed. The main square of the village, with restaurants and some shops, is just 50 meters from the hotel. Right next to the hotel is a supermarket with a wide variety of products. We got a good price for our family room, and the stay was very pleasant. Since we arrived during a holiday period, we didn't have any contact with the staff. Our keys were ready at the reception desk, and we were able to access the hotel with a code. It's a good option if you're traveling by car and want to visit the area and Carcassonne. The village of Limoux is quiet and pretty and has some interesting places and museums. We liked it.
