20/09/2026: This must be our 15th visit and we're still not disappointed! I highly recommend this restaurant; the quality, quantity, and price are all excellent! To address the negative reviews, those complaining that it's cash only, what's the problem? You just withdraw cash and that's it. Those complaining about extra charges? Don't forget that the sauces are unlimited, and in some restaurants you pay €2 for a small, tasteless Roquefort sauce. In short, if you want a delicious meal in a friendly atmosphere with pleasant and attentive service, you can go without hesitation!

27/11/2025: Wow, that was a great meal! It's so nice to find a little bit of Belgium in Marseille! The fries and snacks are just like home, as is the friendliness and warm welcome of the owners! Special mention for the wide selection of beers! See you very soon!

18/08/2026: A fantastic discovery! The Angus beef skewer and the octopus duo were excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The service was quick and the staff very friendly.

16/08/2026: Distressing behaviour from server completely ruined our night. ​I would much rather leave a good review, and I genuinely sympathise with how stressful working in hospitality can be, but this meal was an absolute disaster and completely ruined our night. ​We ordered two bottles of wine and the starters were actually delicious. After that, everything went downhill fast. ​We both went for the 45 euro set menu and picked the same main. Even though we asked for separate plates, they brought out what was clearly just one single portion for the two of us to share: one skewer with six miniature pieces of beef, two tiny carrots, and a quarter of a potato. For that price, it was a joke. I brought it up with the waiter, but he basically just shrugged it off with a quick sorry and did nothing about it. They also completely forgot the cheese course until we had to ask for it. ​The biggest issue, however, was the behaviour from the lady serving. To be fair, she was perfectly pleasant whenever she came to our table. It was like she put on a mask the second she stepped outside. What she clearly did not realise was that everyone on the terrace could see and hear everything happening inside. She was screaming at her coworker, throwing menus at him, and kicked a bar stool across the floor. We could hear her crying from our seats outside, and when I came out of the toilet, she was visibly weeping by the till. It was awful to see someone in that state, but having that level of volatile conflict happening right in front of diners and families with young children sitting at adjacent tables was totally unacceptable. ​Her behaviour created such a tense, uncomfortable atmosphere that it completely killed our evening. We ended up paying the bill, leaving our wine on the table, ditching dessert, and heading to a nearby bar just to get away from it all. Good starter, but an utterly dreadful experience.

31/08/2026: My 40th birthday at La Bauquière…simply unforgettable! Everything went perfectly! The organization was top-notch! The caterer was amazing! All the guests loved it. Special mention to all the servers for their smiles and professionalism! I highly recommend this reception venue. Karine

23/08/2026: I spent the day at the pool with the sun loungers and had lunch at the restaurant; everything was very good. However, my relaxation time was short-lived because families are allowed to come with their children, dive into the pool, and talk loudly, as if they own the place. Apparently, no one knows the staff. So, they act as if they own the place, as if no one else exists, and I didn't appreciate that at all. That's why I won't be going back to use the pool.

02/06/2026: A small, quiet restaurant. The portions weren't exceptional. I won't be going back. I didn't like the atmosphere. The gentleman was nice.

09/05/2026: Absolutely delicious! This restaurant is an incredible find. The dishes are excellent and generous, and the staff is very attentive. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

04/10/2026: The only thing that saves this restaurant is the view. The waitress was nice but made inappropriate remarks, the owner smoked while preparing cocktails behind the bar, the kids' menu arrived in 4 minutes with questionable-looking nuggets, and I spent the whole afternoon trying to digest the overcooked pasta and the not-so-great sauce...

27/09/2026: My mom and I had an absolutely terrible experience. The waiter was rude and aggressive, and the staff seemed to dislike tourists and didn’t even know how to speak to customers properly. Avoid this grill restaurant. We left and went to another restaurant nearby. Happened Sunday 27th September at 5:30 pm

15/09/2026: Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and tasty, the managers were lovely, and the atmosphere was warm... This restaurant is worth a visit.

27/08/2026: Absolutely delicious! I already knew and loved Lebanese food, and I discovered wonderful Armenian dishes thanks to this restaurant! Bravo!

16/06/2026: The hotel is definitely the nicest in the area with beautiful views of the hippodrome and sea. The fitness and spa amenities are great, and the food and wine are quite good. Restaurant service is typically South French, that is to say, merely ok on a good day. My room was a bit worn with the room door, terasse door, and toilet flush button all barely working. However it was very roomy. Housekeeping was hit or miss over the 11 days of my stay, sometimes forgetting to replace or clean things and towards the end my beauty products were taken from the shower and never returned. Front desk staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good, but very pricey at €25 for what is available. Dinner and drink prices are more reasonable.

19/05/2026: A 5-star stay from beginning to end (and even before, when we booked our stay). Comfort (room, bedding), cleanliness, responsiveness (important for us as we have a disability). Friendly and personal welcome. Super friendly and dedicated staff across all departments, from the restaurant team and wellness area staff to housekeeping, reception, and the management team, who were always present on-site. The hotel is well-located by the sea, surrounded by all kinds of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend it.
