30/11/2025: Thanks again to Ugo (without the H), our waiter, who still managed to make us incredibly delicious and decadent ice creams even though it was 10:30 pm!!! Top-notch service! We highly recommend it!!
29/10/2025: Excellent welcome. Very good service. Professional, warm, and very helpful waitress. Great music. Traditional Welsh Royal and excellent, but too much cheese, a shame about the waste 😔

06/12/2024: Accueil très sympathique de l'équipe aux petits soins pour les clients. Les plats sont excellents, produits frais et de qualité. Les desserts sont faits maison ! les profiteroles et crème brulée : un délice ! Prix "normal" pour la qualité demandée : Poulet au maroilles 16.80 €..... crème brulée 5.50. Frites maison également ! Nous y retournerons : il vaut mieux réserver !
14/11/2024: We had a lovely lunch at La Taverne De Duchenot today for my partners birthday.
When we arrived it was just after midday and it was nice to see lots of locals enjoying lunch.
Both of the waiters that served us were extremely polite and their English was very good.
We both chose the lunchtime offer of 3 courses from a set menu for €21.90.
The charcuterie board starter was very nice and the steak with shallot sauce was also excellent.
The dessert choices were chocolate mousse or cafe gourmand. We both chose the cafe gourmand and it was delicious.
Overall we had a very pleasant lunch and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Saint-Omer.

20/09/2024: Great visit today in Le Club Leon. Fantastic food. We've taken lobster and royal paella and they were delicious. Amazing service of Yacine who was helpful and competitive. He really tried to serve us in English and did it really great as well as his manager. We were surprised with English service. Great atmosphere, we've enjoyed with a musical quizz and even were awarded!! Amazingly memorable evening, hope we'll come back next year!!

Well sheltered naturally by the treetops, the meal went very well: orders were taken by tablets handled by smiling and attentive staff. Respect of suitable deadlines between aperitif, main courses and dessert. I highly recommend

12/12/2025: This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Staff were always friendly and helpful when we were coping with our mobility. Not a UK 4 star, but I think Fr. standards are more relaxed.

The impression of annoying him even though there was no one there I asked for a coffee, forgot some sugar and the spatula to mix for the orange juice to make I had the impression of being complicated and very tiring to do and all this early in the morning

13/11/2025: Passing through the Pas-de-Calais region, I didn't know where to eat, so I checked Google Maps.
Let me tell you, I was very pleasantly surprised! I received the incredibly warm welcome that you'd expect from people from the North! The service was impeccable and they really took care of us... The menu was worthy of a Turkish kebab: hot, generous, and delicious! The negative reviews are just nonsense! I highly recommend it!
11/11/2025: As a taxi driver in the Nord department (59) who often travels around the Lens area, I was pleasantly surprised by this kebab shop. The quality and service were five stars. Dear colleague, I invite you to go and try my famous flatbread and chicken.

18/05/2024: Tout était négatif mise à part la gentillesse de le jeune serveuse contrairement à sa responsable. Bière sans bulle(5.90€ pour une grim) 4 frites dans l assiette, repas servi en même temps que l apero. Mojito sans rhum ? Sûrement ...bref première et dernière fois.

Ce n'est plus aussi bon qu'il y a quelques années.
Plat: moule Léon (un classique)
Au moins 20 à 30 % des coquilles sont vides
Les moules sont un peu trop ferme voir caoutchouteuse.
Les frites sont trop cuites et sont dure
Je ne pense pas y retourner de si tôt

08/08/2024: We were there at a market day. Being in an English tea-room we ordered scones and asked for clotted cream alongside which was not available. When we ordered them anyway and asked for butter alongside, we had the impression that the owner rolled his eyes on this request. The scones were very dry and tasted of flour. The young man who served was very friendly, however. But that wasn’t enough to give it another try.

15/09/2024: Hello, we are very very regular customers... this evening at 9 p.m. my partner wanted to get 2 kebabs when he arrived in front of the door and we told him that it was closed yet on Google you close at 10 p.m.?? Too bad we were a little disappointed… you should warn us when you close earlier…
hence my 4 stars instead of 5 because unfortunately the whole team remains pleasant and the kebabs are very very good!
