31/03/2024: Great discovery for a first for us. Very pleasant restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Copious and quality food. I recommend !

31/03/2024: Excellent evening at the Espadrille. Delicious meal, special mention for the very tasty Basque mussels (pepper, chickpeas and Espelette pepper) and the tender beef (7 hours of cooking). Gourmet coffee to match (Basque cake, Catalan cream and succulent apple pie). Fair prices. Very friendly atmosphere. We will come back to it!

19/05/2024: A descent into culinary hell: a taste disaster and deplorable service As soon as we arrived, the tone was set: an overwhelmed service, overwhelmed by the crowds, incapable of ensuring a welcome and follow-up worthy of the name. An interminable wait dragged on before we deigned to take our order, although reserved a month before, indicating the dishes for each guest!!! But the real nightmare was only just beginning. The dishes, when they finally deigned to appear, were distressingly sad. Sloppy presentation, products clearly not fresh, approximate cooking: an insult to local gastronomy. The starters: a ridiculous slice of smoked salmon, Lilliputian, or a disc of industrial goat cheese placed shamelessly on a slice of supermarket bread. The main course: a crusted cod in name only, concealing an assortment of diverse and varied fish, poorly cooked and tasteless, arranged on the plate with the art of a kindergarten child. All, of course, at exorbitant prices. Indecent value for money. Flee this place like the plague! If you're looking for a good restaurant in the area, settle for a sandwich in a bakery or a picnic on a bench. You will undoubtedly find much more flavor and authenticity there than in this culinary wreck. I told the manager of our dissatisfaction (there were 27 of us) but clearly, he is not looking to build customer loyalty, but rather to make money from passing tourists. Instead of offering us a commercial gesture, he steadfastly maintained that we had consumed extras. After dispute and verification, he had to admit his mistake. A reconversion is necessary. Urgently.

13/05/2024: It would simply be better to signpost the departure of the boat behind the lodge because we are sent to 3 rue du marsh in Claimarais. The staff is top notch. We lost a pair of glasses in a black case in the parking lot in front of the gîte. I reported it to the communications department on Sunday morning

31/03/2024: Gorgeous ! Great experience, the staff is friendly, the dishes are generous and very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the pesto on the burrata toast and the plain scones were PERFECT.

13/06/2024: Unfortunately we were disappointed with this stay because several things were wrong. When choosing rooms on Booking, access to air conditioning was one of our selection criteria. It is in this sense that we reserved 3 rooms with air conditioning. When we arrived, there was no air conditioning (we became aware of an undated note posted in the elevator informing us that the air conditioning was dysfunctional and does not specify exactly when the service will be reinstated. We would never have booked if this information had reached us. When we arrived in one of the rooms, the 2 desk seats were unfortunately not cleaned, there were crumbs. I had to quickly clean it to put down one of the children who was showered. The tea area was also dirty, I wanted to serve myself some coffee but the pod container was unsanitary because a milk pod was open and spilled on the rest of the spoons and pods present. Finally the toilet door did not close in 2 rooms. We found all of this very limited, it is absolutely not worthy of a 4-star hotel and the total price paid during this stay is not worth the services received. I emphasize the sympathy of the staff,... nevertheless who refused a gesture of compensation... too bad
