30/03/2026: Since the new staff took over, what a disappointment. Gone are the friendly servers, replaced by a team fresh out of school and still learning the ropes. For example, I ordered a freshly squeezed lemon juice and was served some kind of frothy, fluorescent yellow concoction—nothing like freshly squeezed lemon juice at all. When I pointed this out, they assured me that was exactly what I ordered, but I've been drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice for 50 years and it's never looked like that. Anyway, I won't be a good customer anymore.

29/03/2026: The food was good, but the service was poor and the dishes were barely lukewarm. It's a shame that the mediocre service is damaging the chef's reputation.

14/03/2026: Today, the woman who works Saturday mornings was very rude to me. I'm not French, and I tried to speak French to ask for the menu and to avoid being rude (since I was trying to speak French). She started yelling at me and mistreating me. People had to come and calm the situation and explain to her that I don't speak French. I made an effort to speak French, but she was still rude to me.

08/12/2025: First time at this kebab shop with my friend this past Saturday at lunchtime. It looked very inviting and seemed pretty good at first. What a mistake... two days later we ended up with a terrible case of food poisoning. We couldn't get out of bed, had abdominal cramps from vomiting so much (I destroyed what I was using as a toilet), and were severely dehydrated, practically needing an ambulance. In short, avoid this place.

23/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! We usually go for drinks, but recently we had lunch there. The place is lovely, even though they're currently doing some exterior renovations. Everyone is friendly and attentive to your needs. They all offer great advice. The food is simple but excellent. Nothing but positives. You should definitely go!

17/03/2026: We spent one night at the Hôtel L’Ermitage, and frankly, the current 3.9/5 rating on Google doesn't reflect our experience. We had booked the Belvédère room, which offers an absolutely incredible view of the Monts d’Or and Lyon. The setting is calm, peaceful, and truly magnificent—a real haven of tranquility. Upon arrival, we had a drink on the restaurant terrace, bathed in sunshine: a very pleasant way to start our stay. We then had the relaxation area to ourselves, allowing us to truly unwind, exactly what we were looking for. In the evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant: excellent cuisine, discreet and pleasant service. We had a wonderful evening. The next morning, breakfast was a very pleasant surprise: a well-organized buffet with a high-quality savory selection (which is quite rare and worth mentioning), featuring organic and seasonal products. The desserts were also excellent: pastries, delicious bread, praline brioche, organic products, and a superb homemade pear compote. We were able to enjoy the relaxation area one last time before our departure. The early check-out before noon is a real plus, allowing you to fully enjoy the morning. Of course, having a professional eye for the restaurant industry ourselves, we noticed a few imperfections, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the relaxation area (chewing gum and hair were found on the edge of the jacuzzi upon our arrival, and these hadn't been cleaned up by our departure). The facilities also show some signs of age. However, this didn't spoil our stay in any way. The staff was lovely from beginning to end, and the overall experience remains very positive. We loved our stay, so kudos to the team, and we will most likely be back next month.

14/03/2026: Quite disappointed by this otherwise well-known hotel. The reception wasn't very welcoming; the person was on the phone for at least five minutes without telling us they'd be there in a few minutes. The room was nice enough, but the floor wasn't clean, there was only one large towel for two people, and no phone to contact reception. The pool is tiny, with just two sun loungers practically next to each other, water everywhere, and no one to even mop it up. The spa was very nice! Breakfast was very good with a magnificent view, but forget about a friendly welcome and a smile from the staff—they must not be paid for that! Would I recommend it? No! There are so many better options elsewhere for the same price.

23/12/2025: Besides being very friendly, the kebabs and platters are delicious. Just look at the crowds that come to eat there to understand how good they are. The cleanliness and service are perfect.

29/03/2026: The first time we came, we were just having a hot drink and the daily special for two. Despite the midday heat (the place was almost full), the manager quickly found us a table with a smile and a warm welcome. So we booked for Sunday Brunch and frankly, we were delighted by the quality and freshness of the food. The sweet and savory verrines were delicious, the fruit juices were fresh, and a special mention goes to the salmon tartine and the chocolate brioche. The staff is very friendly, always smiling 😃, and efficient, despite the crowds! We will definitely be back to discover other flavors! Pascal and Martine

28/03/2026: A truly disappointing experience… I was warned. The Viennese coffee was advertised at €5.50: once the whipped cream was removed, the coffee was undrinkable. Clearly, the quality doesn't match the price. But the most problematic aspect was the billing: €6 was charged without any explanation, even though the advertised price was different. A mistake can happen, perhaps a mandatory tip is required, who knows? As for the service, nothing redeemed the experience. The welcome was cold and bossy, and above all, there was an awkward atmosphere in the dining room with a manager speaking rudely to his staff in front of customers. Between mediocre quality, a lack of price transparency, and unpleasant service, it's hard to find anything positive.

08/12/2025: Conveniently located near the metro and the Bellecour station. Underground parking is a very practical €12 per night. No housekeeping was provided for the two days, and there was no coffee machine in the room.

05/12/2025: The hotel may be beautiful, but the staff leaves much to be desired, especially a certain Manon who is extremely unpleasant and condescending.
