26/02/2026: Honestly, the service was incredibly fast, the quality was amazing, and I loved the flavors. I ordered the rice in broth (it was to die for), the chicken (incredibly good), the yassa sauce (magnificent), and the side dish with tomatoes (even that was delicious). And the chili: I love a bit of heat, and this was seriously hot, I almost cried 😂 but I loved it. P.S.: Even the ginger candy that came with the dish was excellent XD

08/02/2026: I am an American wandering the streets of Paris. One of the interesting things I discovered, which shouldn't be a surprise, but Paris has ethnic neighborhoods (again, just like every other big city). As I was wandering I started to notice quite a few African-themed restaurants. Obviously France did more than their share of colonization, including Africa, so this shouldn't be a surprise. ANYWAY. I have not had a lot of exposure of African cuisine and I figured I might as well stop and have something. So I stopped at Osé African Cuisine. I would classify Osé as a fast-casual restaurant. A number of bowl options (including S/M/L options) and some sides. I only needed a snack, so I ordered the Alloko, which are basically plantain fries. They are very good. Kind of blackened and carmalizes. And they came with 3 dipping sauces. Red, green, and yellow. Just understand that yellow is the HOT one. I'm not scurred of hot sauces in general. The yellow is delicious, but legit hot. Nose running hot. Green and red are good, but I kept on going back to the yellow and punishing myself. Anyhoo. Give African cuisine a try. And if you're around Osé, give them a shot.

02/03/2026: This was my first time eating injera here! The injera and delicious vegetable and meat stew were a perfect treat for my tired stomach after a 10-day trip to Europe. The injera had a slight sourness, was soft and fizzy, and came in so much that I couldn't finish it all. ☺️ Thank you for the meal. The staff were also very kind.

03/03/2026: Amazing value for money for the area in 2026. Yes, the portions aren't huge and the dessert can be quite simple, but it's good and at that price, you can't complain. The only slight downside is the service, which isn't always very pleasant (the way they answer is a bit abrupt, they sometimes make minor complaints, and you can get the impression you're bothering them).

20/02/2026: We loved Le Negus. From the very friendly and warm welcome and service, the owners clearly wanted to share their passion for Ethiopia and its culture. The menu is simple yet absolutely delicious. Take their advice and you won't regret it. Finally, the value for money is unbeatable for such original and high-quality cuisine. 07/12/2025: Excellent food. You can eat inside or outside, and there's not much of a wait. The place isn't very big, so I recommend making a reservation. The decor is lovely. I highly recommend it.

09/02/2026: The best value for money in the neighborhood! 🤩 I was looking for a complete brunch without breaking the bank, and I found a gem. The set menu is incredibly affordable, and it has everything: savory and sweet options, hot and cold drinks... You leave with a full stomach for a truly reasonable price. I highly recommend it to those on a budget who don't want to sacrifice quality! Special mention for their terrace; it makes you feel like you're outside of Paris!!

06/07/2025: Chez Ginette is a picturesque cafe located on the corner of Montmartre towards the Sacré-Coeur. I stopped by during a stroll, and the avocado toast here was unforgettably delicious! I sat at a small round table on the terrace, typical of Paris, and ordered avocado toast. What was brought to me was a beautiful dish of toasted bread topped with plenty of bright green avocado. The balance of creamy and fresh avocado, slightly sour dressing, and crispy bread was exquisite! The simple dish allowed the quality of the ingredients and careful workmanship to shine. I enjoyed the avocado toast with delicious coffee while watching the people passing by and the typical Montmartre buildings. It was a rich and fulfilling time, as if I had blended into everyday Paris. The warm atmosphere, which seems to be loved not only by tourists but also by locals, was very comfortable. If you're looking for a delicious brunch or light lunch in Montmartre, Chez Ginette is one of your best options.
