28/07/2026: We arrived as a group of four without a reservation, and they kindly found us a table. The waitresses were very friendly, as were the owners. The food was good, the fries were hot and excellent—simple but good. The prices are reasonable; a place to remember.

23/07/2026: Unique in the region. The owner welcomes you as if you were a local. The cuisine is excellent, featuring natural, local produce. The meat is succulent, and the value for money is exceptional.
Absolutely everything is perfect: the friendly service, the inviting terrace, and the beautiful setting with wonderful people. Congratulations! We left with wonderful memories and will return, certain of having another fantastic time. A must-try!

18/10/2026: I am very disappointed by this establishment's lack of consideration for its customers.
Being a loyal customer doesn't entitle you to preferential treatment, but it certainly does entitle you to a minimum of attentiveness, respect, and professionalism.
What bothers me most isn't that a mistake might be made, but the inability to listen to a complaint and provide a constructive response.
A manager is supposed to lead by example, know how to handle a conflict, and above all, strive to satisfy their customers rather than stubbornly clinging to their position.
Business isn't just about taking payments. It's also about recognizing a problem, taking responsibility, and maintaining customer trust.
By taking customers for granted, they shouldn't be surprised to see them leave.
Loyalty is built over time, but a few minutes of poor management are sometimes enough to destroy it.
It's a shame to have to resort to such measures for a simple lack of business acumen.

15/10/2026: I'm very disappointed. I remember now why I hardly ever went there anymore, because every time there's a problem, whether it's the temperature of the products or missing items in the order.
This happens with every order I place. They serve me ice cream that's already melted because it was left on the counter while other customers were being served.

18/09/2026: The toilet had no tap, so there was no water to wash my hands. I wanted a coffee, but I got an iced coffee with whipped cream. As for the speculoos-filled doughnut, I can't remember the name—it was just a bite, very disappointing.

20/09/2026: Beware when ordering takeout. The third time they've forgotten to include an item, and when you return, the manager will hide in the back of the kitchen. Not even an apology from the person who prepared the order. So, the return trip costs me more than the item itself, and you get home to a cold, impersonal delivery. No service whatsoever.
16/09/2026: In this McDonald's, you have to drink your coffee black; you can't order extra milk. "Never," says the manager. "That's the rule!" If you ask for it, he says you're being dishonest! CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY???

27/08/2026: We were looking for a nice spot to eat and drink, but unfortunately didn't have our bikes with us since we were traveling with a person with a broken foot. We would have loved to stop here, but the road leading there is only accessible by bike; what a shame.

27/03/2026: I'm very disappointed. I ordered a small plate, but upon arrival, they told me they didn't have small plates to take away and charged me the price of a large one. When I got home, the €11 plate was practically empty; there weren't even any fries, no napkin, no cutlery, and to top it all off, the plate was frozen.

We were passing through Luxembourg and stopped in France to eat at this establishment.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The staff completely lacked courtesy and humanity—especially one woman with a bob haircut who was very rude and unpleasant.
The food was mediocre and not worth the price.
We do not recommend this place, nor do we support it in any way.
04/10/2025: Impossible to get to Subway, most of the time it's already closed before 9pm, unacceptable for a Saturday night.

08/09/2026: So, a terrible and very bad experience, the kebab was soaked in oil, and the fries weren't cooked. This is the second time I've ordered from there and the result is the same. I definitely do not recommend it.

The kebabs were extremely greasy! Honestly, I won't be going back.

16/07/2024: L’Hostellerie de la Vallée, à Fumay dans le Département des Ardennes, vient de changer de propriétaire depuis le 1er juillet 2024.
C’est Frédéric Pierangeli, Chef de Cuisine au Moulin Labotte à Haybes, qui en reprend les rênes, après le départ en retraite de Michèle et Antoine Douchamps, tout en gardant à la tête des cuisines l’excellent Chef Laurent Ponsart qui tient les fourneaux depuis quelques années à la grande satisfaction d’une clientèle de fidèles.
Le Chef Laurent Ponsart est un adepte de la cuisine inventive qui s’inspire des classiques de la bistronomie et sa jolie carte en est la preuve.
Une Escalope de Poulet à la Forestière ou un Sauté de Porc au Caramel deviennent, entre les mains de Laurent Ponsart, des mets savoureux avec des sauces particulièrement bien travaillées. Son Gâteau Renversé à l'Ananas et à la Crème Chantilly est une étape sur le chemin du paradis. Sa cuisine est simple mais authentique et de bon goût. Il vous propose des plats classiques ou du terroir ardennais.
Le service est parfait, le sourire est au rendez-vous et l’endroit est agréable. Un tout grand merci à Christelle. Il règne ici une ambiance chaleureuse dans laquelle on peut s’épanouir en se sentant tout de suite à l’aise et un peu comme à la maison.
Comme le précise le Chef Frédéric Pierangeli, nos clients ont à présent le choix entre mes deux établissements.
L’Hostellerie de la Vallée est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Il y a un parking public à proximité.
Les réservations se font uniquement par téléphone au 03.24.41.15.61.
Une bonne Table à découvrir dans cette belle et verdoyante Vallée de la Meuse à Fumay et je vous la recommande vivement.
