09/05/2026: Passing through Thoard, we decided to stop at the inn, and we were very glad we did. The welcome was friendly, the service quick, and we had a very good meal—simple dishes, but beautifully presented and delicious. We highly recommend a short detour to this charming little spot, perfect for a lunch break.

13/06/2026: I'm extremely disappointed. I'm usually a pretty good customer, or rather, I used to be, because the more time passes, the less I want to go. The prices are already exorbitant, even though I know it's not the location that dictates them, but this was the absolute worst. They're always forgetting something, but this was ridiculous... 40 minutes for an order with young children, and other people arriving after us were served before us. I started asking where the order was, and they told me it was coming, I just had to wait. My father went back, and there was no order; they didn't know where it was, so we had to reorder. We finally received it a while later, and it was missing a fry and a dessert, the wrong drink, and no bacon in the cheddar fries. Four mistakes in a single order for four people... no gesture of goodwill, nothing. And what's the point of ordering larger drinks for children who never finish them anyway? Avoid this place! They even spoke to us in a condescending manner; nobody paid us any attention.

16/05/2026: A disaster! I don't understand how they're still in business. We ordered a Big Mac with a slightly overcooked bun, maybe even reheated from the day before. We asked for an exchange and they gave us the exact same one. Avoid!
16/05/2026: I could give it zero stars, and I would.
I placed my order on the McDonald's app, which stated that they close at 11 PM with the last order at 10:30 PM.
I placed my order at 9:50 PM, paid for it, and received a message that it was being prepared.
I arrived at 10:15 PM and found the manager telling me that McDonald's had closed for 15 minutes and that there was nothing they could do for me. He explained that McDonald's closes at 10 PM, not 11 PM as indicated on the app.
He suggested I notify his group manager to reschedule my order for another day.
The bottom line is, it's past 10 PM, I won't be eating anything tonight, and I made a wasted trip. Clearly, remaking my order was the bare minimum. I would have expected them to offer me an additional meal as an apology, in addition to remaking the order I hadn't received.
In short: empty stomach, wasted gas, and I get to wait until the next day for my order. Yay 🤐

20/10/2025: Open on a Tuesday in October, we were able to enjoy a hot chocolate to warm us up during our bike trip along the Meuse. Beautiful place, friendly service.
01/10/2025: We had lunch at Ô Fil de l'eau during our La Meuse à Vélo trip, a very nice relaxing space. Very warm welcome and perfect service. It's the perfect place for a well-deserved break while enjoying a good skewer, with a glass of rosé, and to finish a crepe. We will not forget the friendly and dynamic welcome of the owner.

27/03/2026: I'm very disappointed. I ordered a small plate, but upon arrival, they told me they didn't have small plates to take away and charged me the price of a large one. When I got home, the €11 plate was practically empty; there weren't even any fries, no napkin, no cutlery, and to top it all off, the plate was frozen.

We were passing through Luxembourg and stopped in France to eat at this establishment.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The staff completely lacked courtesy and humanity—especially one woman with a bob haircut who was very rude and unpleasant.
The food was mediocre and not worth the price.
We do not recommend this place, nor do we support it in any way.
04/10/2025: Impossible to get to Subway, most of the time it's already closed before 9pm, unacceptable for a Saturday night.

31/08/2024: It's a McDonald's like any other, the service is a little long as they lack staff. The prices are a little expensive €9 for 2 mac flury red fruit and suede coulis. It's a shame that Macdonald's restaurants no longer make speculos if you're afraid of not passing them, take individual packets or two.

16/07/2024: L’Hostellerie de la Vallée, à Fumay dans le Département des Ardennes, vient de changer de propriétaire depuis le 1er juillet 2024.
C’est Frédéric Pierangeli, Chef de Cuisine au Moulin Labotte à Haybes, qui en reprend les rênes, après le départ en retraite de Michèle et Antoine Douchamps, tout en gardant à la tête des cuisines l’excellent Chef Laurent Ponsart qui tient les fourneaux depuis quelques années à la grande satisfaction d’une clientèle de fidèles.
Le Chef Laurent Ponsart est un adepte de la cuisine inventive qui s’inspire des classiques de la bistronomie et sa jolie carte en est la preuve.
Une Escalope de Poulet à la Forestière ou un Sauté de Porc au Caramel deviennent, entre les mains de Laurent Ponsart, des mets savoureux avec des sauces particulièrement bien travaillées. Son Gâteau Renversé à l'Ananas et à la Crème Chantilly est une étape sur le chemin du paradis. Sa cuisine est simple mais authentique et de bon goût. Il vous propose des plats classiques ou du terroir ardennais.
Le service est parfait, le sourire est au rendez-vous et l’endroit est agréable. Un tout grand merci à Christelle. Il règne ici une ambiance chaleureuse dans laquelle on peut s’épanouir en se sentant tout de suite à l’aise et un peu comme à la maison.
Comme le précise le Chef Frédéric Pierangeli, nos clients ont à présent le choix entre mes deux établissements.
L’Hostellerie de la Vallée est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Il y a un parking public à proximité.

Une bonne Table à découvrir dans cette belle et verdoyante Vallée de la Meuse à Fumay et je vous la recommande vivement.
