28/07/2026: We arrived as a group of four without a reservation, and they kindly found us a table. The waitresses were very friendly, as were the owners. The food was good, the fries were hot and excellent—simple but good. The prices are reasonable; a place to remember.

14/07/2026: Classic Northern French cuisine in a beautiful, classically decorated setting. Not cheaply priced. A few years ago the dishes were sloppy, but now they are beautiful, good-tasting dishes. Small menu but well-balanced salmon and also sweetbreads (which you don't find everywhere) with a lovely sauce. Worth a try.
07/07/2026: A truly wonderful experience. Quality products, attentive service, a beautiful setting, lovely terrace. I recommend it 100%. (The Belgians with the little dog 😊)

16/08/2026: You should know that I order McDonald's almost every day, and this is the first time I've seen anything like this. I ordered a CBO and at first glance, I received a nice-looking CBO, but what a surprise when I discovered inside: the chicken from the McChicken, along with a sauce I'd never seen in it before! Maybe they tweaked the recipe between orders! Anyway, the McDonald's in Charleville-Mézières are getting worse and worse. (Ranchovy sauce, I suppose, in a CBO. It was really good (absolutely disgusting).)

23/07/2026: Unique in the region. The owner welcomes you as if you were a local. The cuisine is excellent, featuring natural, local produce. The meat is succulent, and the value for money is exceptional.
Absolutely everything is perfect: the friendly service, the inviting terrace, and the beautiful setting with wonderful people. Congratulations! We left with wonderful memories and will return, certain of having another fantastic time. A must-try!

20/10/2025: Open on a Tuesday in October, we were able to enjoy a hot chocolate to warm us up during our bike trip along the Meuse. Beautiful place, friendly service.
01/10/2025: We had lunch at Ô Fil de l'eau during our La Meuse à Vélo trip, a very nice relaxing space. Very warm welcome and perfect service. It's the perfect place for a well-deserved break while enjoying a good skewer, with a glass of rosé, and to finish a crepe. We will not forget the friendly and dynamic welcome of the owner.

The McDonald's is very dirty inside, the trash cans aren't emptied, the tables are greasy, and the manager is very unpleasant.

22/08/2026: Horrible, rats came during the meal. I spoke to the manager, but he didn't seem too concerned.
17/08/2026: Unacceptable! There's practically nothing vegetarian on offer. The kiosk advertises vegetarian burgers, but all they have are harissa wraps (which, of course, can't be changed for those who don't like spicy food). False advertising, and they don't even bother to offer alternatives.

27/07/2026: Everything was great and piping hot 🤗 My only complaint is the size of the bacon fries; for €1.50 extra on top of the meal deal, you'd expect a bit more, but it was still good.
26/07/2026: While passing through Sedan, we stopped at McDonald's. We waited over 30 minutes for our order, and even then we had to go back to the counter to complain. Once we finally got our order, everything was cold and the drinks weren't good.

22/12/2025: A restaurant I love! A warm atmosphere where I enjoy myself every time, with comforting and hearty dishes, not to mention the always impeccable service, with a smile and attention to detail. I go back as soon as I can!

27/03/2026: I'm very disappointed. I ordered a small plate, but upon arrival, they told me they didn't have small plates to take away and charged me the price of a large one. When I got home, the €11 plate was practically empty; there weren't even any fries, no napkin, no cutlery, and to top it all off, the plate was frozen.

21/07/2026: This is my second visit. The manager is just as unpleasant as ever, doesn't seem to want to work, no smile, no politeness. The kebab bread is literally microwaved bread, the prices are high, and on top of that, they tell us to come back later because they're out of kebab meat. I strongly advise against going there and would suggest you try a much more welcoming fast food restaurant.
26/06/2026: Sandrine, her son and her staff are lovely, it had been a long time since I had been in the region, but we had a wonderful time as always, thank you for the welcome and well done for your courage despite the heat!

We were passing through Luxembourg and stopped in France to eat at this establishment.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The staff completely lacked courtesy and humanity—especially one woman with a bob haircut who was very rude and unpleasant.
The food was mediocre and not worth the price.
We do not recommend this place, nor do we support it in any way.
04/10/2025: Impossible to get to Subway, most of the time it's already closed before 9pm, unacceptable for a Saturday night.

26/08/2024: Une carte simple mais efficace, un bon service, des prix très abordables, je recommande cet établissement, c’est la troisième fois et toujours bien accueilli et bien servi
16/07/2024: L’Hostellerie de la Vallée, à Fumay dans le Département des Ardennes, vient de changer de propriétaire depuis le 1er juillet 2024.
C’est Frédéric Pierangeli, Chef de Cuisine au Moulin Labotte à Haybes, qui en reprend les rênes, après le départ en retraite de Michèle et Antoine Douchamps, tout en gardant à la tête des cuisines l’excellent Chef Laurent Ponsart qui tient les fourneaux depuis quelques années à la grande satisfaction d’une clientèle de fidèles.
Le Chef Laurent Ponsart est un adepte de la cuisine inventive qui s’inspire des classiques de la bistronomie et sa jolie carte en est la preuve.
Une Escalope de Poulet à la Forestière ou un Sauté de Porc au Caramel deviennent, entre les mains de Laurent Ponsart, des mets savoureux avec des sauces particulièrement bien travaillées. Son Gâteau Renversé à l'Ananas et à la Crème Chantilly est une étape sur le chemin du paradis. Sa cuisine est simple mais authentique et de bon goût. Il vous propose des plats classiques ou du terroir ardennais.
Le service est parfait, le sourire est au rendez-vous et l’endroit est agréable. Un tout grand merci à Christelle. Il règne ici une ambiance chaleureuse dans laquelle on peut s’épanouir en se sentant tout de suite à l’aise et un peu comme à la maison.
Comme le précise le Chef Frédéric Pierangeli, nos clients ont à présent le choix entre mes deux établissements.
L’Hostellerie de la Vallée est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Il y a un parking public à proximité.
Les réservations se font uniquement par téléphone au 03.24.41.15.61.
Une bonne Table à découvrir dans cette belle et verdoyante Vallée de la Meuse à Fumay et je vous la recommande vivement.
