11/03/2026: It's a nice little restaurant where you can eat seafood, the products are good and the service is excellent, the only negative point is that it's very small and therefore there's not much room to move around.

14/11/2025: Simply sublime. A romantic evening in a warm and inviting atmosphere with the fireplace. We ordered the wild sea bass for two. A real treat. The cooking was perfect, the fish of exceptional quality. The wine, a Burgundy Hautes Côtes de Nuits, Château Charles, was sublime. Everything was perfect. The waiter was exceptionally kind and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

30/11/2025: A real gem! We're from Oléron and were looking for a good restaurant for a gourmet getaway in the Brouage Citadel this Sunday at lunchtime, and we found it! Open year-round, with great reviews and eels on the menu, that was all it took to convince us to book. Thank you, Google Maps! 🙃 In the end, everything exceeded our expectations. First, the wide selection on the menu, the excellent value for money, the quality of the wine we chose, the creative and delicious homemade cuisine, the generous portions, the warm decor, the small seating capacity, and what a welcome! We'll definitely be back! 🍷😋

30/11/2025: A wonderful discovery in Brouage, L'ESCALE DU ROY is an intimate restaurant with a soothing atmosphere and great music. The menu is original and very varied, making it hard to choose. Everything is homemade, the portions are generous, and the dishes are delicious. The restaurant offers a set menu at very affordable prices. The owner is welcoming and warm, having recently arrived from Marie-Galante with her husband, the chef. Welcome to them, and see you very soon!

21/11/2025: A restaurant very close to the port...but in a quiet location. As its name suggests, you can enjoy a delicious meal at a very reasonable price in a simple and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone at our table loved the tagines...and I loved the French toast, though it wasn't for everyone! The chocolate mousse was excellent, according to others! The wine was very good and reasonably priced. Go without hesitation!

10/07/2025: We hired Thomas for our wedding (approximately 100 people) in June 2025. His service exceeded our expectations, both during the planning stages and on the big day. Everything was perfect: clear and seamless communication, great availability, consistently relevant advice, the quality of the cocktail reception and dinner, adherence to the program, seamless service, and the skill of the waiters. Thomas was also able to adapt to the logistical complexities of the wedding venue, anticipating constraints and proposing suitable solutions, without compromising the quality of his service or sacrificing our wishes. His professionalism and friendliness were also highlighted by all the other service providers. We highly recommend him!

08/07/2025: We chose Catering Traiteur to celebrate our wedding in June 2025. We are very happy we made this choice a year ago; everything went perfectly. Thomas adapted to our wishes and our budget and was able to advise us throughout the preparations. We chose the prime rib for dinner, and it was a unanimous choice; we received nothing but compliments about the meal. The service was also perfect, always attentive to our every need, ensuring we had a wonderful day. Thank you to Thomas and his team. We highly recommend them.

10/03/2026: Always a warm welcome. Attentive and friendly service. Never disappointed by the menus. A good (and the only) Japanese restaurant in La Rochelle. It's a shame that parking is sometimes a bit tricky.

14/02/2026: I was a little disappointed by the limited menu: calf's head, sweetbreads, or hanger steak… perhaps because it's off-season? Photos of the menus on Google showed a wider variety. Otherwise, everything was good and well-prepared. One minor drawback was the open kitchen: cooking smells wafted throughout the room.

17/09/2025: We arrived shortly after opening (6:30 p.m.), so it wasn't too crowded. A very friendly welcome and pleasant interaction with the man in the cap. We ordered a very well-stocked mixed platter for a reasonable price. Since I always drink in moderation (the nickname I gave my wife), I drank a Cuvée des Trolls, which was very pleasant on the palate.

11/11/2025: In the summer we love to come and relax on the terrace at this bar; the non-alcoholic cocktails are fantastic. We'll definitely be back, just like every year.
