23/01/2026: My favorite place when travelling to Beaune.
La Maison du Colombier is a must stop for any Burgundy lover.
The wine list is one of the best i've ever seen, with fair prices.
The food is delicious, well made, with high quality ingredients.
Antoine, the sommelier, is very knowledgeable, explaining with precision every wine and suggesting always the right one.
The other staff is very kind and welcoming.
Highly reccomended!
26/11/2025: I keep coming back to La Maison du Colombier for one simple reason: it brings together everything I love about Burgundy in one place. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Beaune, and the moment you step inside the charm takes over. Old stone walls, wooden beams, a touch of history in every corner. Cozy in a way that feels both local and effortless.
The wine list is a small universe of its own. Deep, focused, filled with bottles that are hard to find elsewhere and offered at genuinely great prices. The food follows the same philosophy. Simple, honest dishes that pair naturally with the wines. Rustic enough to feel authentic, thoughtful enough to feel refined.
I also appreciate the people who work here. Warm, welcoming, easy to talk to. A team that clearly enjoys what they do, and that spirit shapes the entire atmosphere.
And one detail that deserves an extra thank you: they are open on Mondays. In Beaune that is a real gift. When half the town goes quiet, this place becomes a little refuge.
If you want great wine, comforting food, a beautiful setting and the feeling that you’re exactly where you should be, this is the spot. I absolutely love it here.

28/08/2024: Our suite, the restaurants at the hotel, the staff, the location were all fantastic! We loved our stay and were able to walk around town without needing transportation. Everyone was so helpful and excited we were there. Just can't say enough nice things about this place and we are super picky.
04/08/2024: !! a horrible experience, to escape!! 400€ per night in a hotel for not sleeping and being extremely poorly received.
The hotel puts us in a room not in the hotel but next door, in an ugly room with windows that are not windows. Sleepless night guaranteed! The light only works half way, the sockets too. When I arrived, a super nice exchange between the receptionists: Can you install them? No, I can't, I have a thousand things to do, can you go? Nah, I have to prepare room service. It sets the tone!
The next morning I explain that I didn't sleep all night, they don't answer me, they don't apologize, the receptionist looks at me badly, the other person rushes to charge me €25 for a baby bed which I had to help install because they don't know how it works and €25 for parking. Everything was lunar, it was frankly a shame, bordering on theft.
Only the breakfast team was up to par during this stay.

La Dilettante

02/10/2024: As a dilettante myself when it comes to enology, I really enjoyed having dinner here and being introduced to different types of wine from Bourgogne and beyond, while enjoying some delicious and unpretentious food. The small portions are great for they allow you to taste different preparations in one sitting. The restaurant exudes the love of its owners for what they do, and they are very welcoming people. All in all, I had a very pleasant evening here. Highly recommended!

We tasted different things offered on the slate. Everything was delicious with lots of flavor.

08/09/2024: Yes I don't know how to write but at least when I make cocktails we use alcohol, not just fruit and because you vomit when you taste rum and you work in a bar it must be complicated in the life of every day and no unfortunately I'm not
depressive nor alcoholic for drowning my problems in alcohol and what's more they wanted to charge us for a drink when it wasn't even served so well sometimes you have to accept these twists cordially have a good day to you
08/09/2024: Certainly the arranged rums and the planters are good but after a few bottles there is no alcohol effect and given the price it's a scam

22/01/2026: The cashier was extremely rude and arrogant. I inquired about the availability of a wine, and she responded aggressively, calling me a "wine speculator." A traumatic experience.
16/11/2025: I passed through Beaune in August 2023. They had a great selection of wines at really good prices.
Sure, Burgundy wines aren't exactly cheap, but they're hard to find online, and certainly not cheaper.
The owner was a bit reserved, but very friendly nonetheless. She had a bit of a hard time with me, though, because I had, and still have, almost no idea about the countless wineries in Burgundy.
