18/09/2026: A truly wonderful experience in a cozy and pleasant setting, where the service is impeccable and the staff attentive.
We had a lovely time enjoying the delicate summer atmosphere and paired with excellent wines.
15/09/2026: The most incredible food and family friendly service. The lunch menu was incredible value for money and a great find in our city break weekend to Colmar. We have a 4 month old baby and was worried the restaurant wouldn’t allow, however they were more than accommodating and encouraged us to come with our baby and were all super friendly with him. 10/10 experience all round.

17/09/2026: We stopped for breakfast with a cappuccino, a caffe olè, a croissant, and a chocolate brioche, and paid 9.90, a couple of euros less than other places. The coffee was pretty good, and the service was okay. Inside, there are various sweet cakes and other treats.

22/06/2026: What a wonderful discovery this Charles Schmitt pastry shop in Colmar is! The welcome is very warm, there's an incredible selection of pastries, all rigorously homemade. For my part, it was a tub of decadent ice cream: chocolate, caramel, and cookies 🤩

05/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! After being turned away from every restaurant in the city center, the owner welcomed us despite the late hour, and we ended up having a lovely time. We'll be back!
05/09/2026: We asked for vegetarian options. They charged us the full price of the main dishes and removed the meat. There was still some meat on the plate. There was no apology, replacement or reduction. It was a very expensive, not very good meal. The waitress was kind and said the owner would make no concessions. Wasn't a nice experience but it was a nice place to sit near the old market.

24/08/2026: Always happy to go to Subway again because they don't have them in Belgium anymore ÷) Especially the honey sandwiches and honey mustard sauce are a must, delicious together with a Teriyaki chicken ÷) Definitely get a menu then you get a delicious cookie and drink with it ÷) Very friendly service!

We had an afternoon snack with fabulous bubble tea and cookies.
Then breakfast the next morning was perfect.
The service was excellent.

17/07/2026: A lovely place to satisfy your ice cream cravings. In my opinion, they have the best tubs: vanilla tonka bean, chocolate sorbet, strawberry verbena, rocher style... and more. I just regret not being able to find the chocolate sorbet anymore (my favorite, which makes me travel 30 km each way!), and the saleswoman told me I can't even order it before coming to the shop... so disappointing!!

26/08/2026: I'm giving it 3 stars. The hamburger was very good, but everything else was a zero. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired; the plates and toilets were dirty. The friendliness was okay, though the waiter seemed a bit shy. And it's expensive for what it is.

14/09/2026: A really good chip shop, just the way we like them! Their specialty is chicken with a delicious cream sauce. A must-try! Be aware, though, that since it's a street-side snack bar, there's no seating or restrooms. There are a few parking spaces, but since it's close to the city center, they're often hard to find.
My opinion has changed after the last two orders. The bread has shrunk in diameter; when you eat, it overflows, and it's also dry. The taste of the fries has changed. Even the pickles in the cold sandwiches have changed. The atmosphere has changed too. A shame, I was looking forward to the long descent, like my fried friend.

28/08/2026: 11:45 am McDonald's is dirty, probably not cleaned since yesterday!!! 30 minutes for service 🤦♀️ and as usual, things were forgotten... this McDonald's is really getting worse and dirtier.

16/07/2026: We came for a snack and opted for the €9 set menu: a croque monsieur and a drink. She told us it was for takeout and that eating in would be €10.50, but with fries included. Perfect, we took that and sat down, mentioning we'd have ice cream for dessert. The bill came to €29.40, going from €9 for takeout to €10.50 without the drink, which wasn't mentioned.
Admittedly, we trusted her word and didn't look at the entire menu in detail, but we felt cheated. We were treated like Americans. Pay close attention to what you order, and if you walk a few dozen meters, you'll find plenty of other places where you don't have to be so vigilant. The ice cream will be elsewhere.
