Albion

27/08/2026: Albion is undoubtedly the most English-speaking pub in Bourgoin. If you want to have a few beers with friends, watch a rugby or football match, or enjoy a Guinness or an Irish Kilkenny ☘️ (for tourists), it's the perfect place.
However, it's much less ideal for a family meal. You order via a QR code, pay upfront, and are even asked for a tip before being served. It's more like a McDonald's with table service than a true pub-restaurant.
The flank steak, ordered rare, arrived cold. The burgers were decent, but still very much in the fast-food vein.
It's up to you to decide if the concept appeals to you or not.

05/08/2026: It had been a long time since I'd been to this bakery because on my last two visits, I was charged for my drink and food separately instead of the set price, as I had specifically requested. Apparently, things come in threes, because today the maxi cookie I bought was completely stale, hard as a rock, with a bit of hair stuck to the top.
22/07/2026: A must-visit in the city center, always welcoming, great shopkeepers, thank you for baking my favorite baguettes when they're sold out…

25/08/2026: Not a great experience this Sunday, August 23rd, at 11:00 PM: they forgot to bring us the drinks with our meal, so we had to rejoin the short queue to ask for them (the staff were clearly busy with the drive-thru...). Our burger was served cold because it must have been sitting on a counter somewhere :(
!!!!! A constant ringing near the register was a constant background noise; it was unpleasant and annoying!!!!

The 280 was cold and the quality has definitely changed.
We asked for two extra sauces and were told they were extra. Apparently, it seems to be based on who you are, because I heard another customer ask for more and they asked her what extra sauce she wanted without telling her it was extra. On the other hand, the napkins are unlimited, which is a real waste, and the toilets aren't clean.
