07/09/2024: Let's explain the 3 stars for food The kitchen was closed but we were able to get a small meal There was mussels, sardines and squid and a cheese board Also some other small dishes But we opted for the mussels and the cheese board The cheese board was for 2 people and extensive The mussels came from a can and were placed on the table that way, which we thought was a bit strange The wine, on the other hand, was delicious and the manager there knows a lot about wine and is for sale in the shop and is literally everywhere. All in all we had a nice meal but it was pricey But that was because of the wine

23/08/2024: Even though restaurant opens at 6pm, no food is available till 8pm ++. Waitress failed to mention it. A lot of homeless people hanging around and bothering patrons and staff is absolutely unable to manage the situation. Strongly recommend to avoid.

14/08/2024: Le nouveau souffle annoncé depuis le départ du chef Martin Simonart se fait attendre. La cuisine du chef Stroh est décevante au regard de celle de son confrère. Trop d'émulsions, trop de sauces, trop de sel, desserts effroyablement sucrés. Plats inutilement compliqués, dépourvus du raffinement dans la simplicité et la subtilité de ceux de son prédécesseur. On en sort très lourd. Accueil froid, mais personnel de service sympathique, sinon toujours attentif. Logiquement, le rapport qualité prix, naguère excellent, en sort dégradé. Espérons qu'il se ressaisisse rapidement.

16/09/2024: What a pleasure to be able to return to La Taverne! Thanks to David and his team for bringing our village back to life a little. At La Taverne de l'Écluse you are always welcomed: warm atmosphere, good humor from the team, good food and above all very affordable prices. I have had lunch there several times since the reopening and even tried the Friday evening boards with the delicious bread from the Moulin, where the atmosphere is really friendly with friends or family! La Taverne de l'écluse is a place that lives! I recommend it with my eyes closed and I can't wait to come back. Thanks to David for taking on the challenge, because we can imagine that the task is not easy every day! :)

14/09/2024: Mom went there with her friends for a birthday. Everything had to be reviewed and not good. A red sauce for meats on fish Uncooked green beans Very long service because only one waitress No choice because no more reserves! Mom went there very often during the old boss's time and there... he's obviously not a restaurateur. She won't go back there again and neither will her friends.

25/09/2024: Cet établissement, situé en plein centre d'Orléans, est très fréquenté. Il est préférable de réserver. Ouvert le dimanche soir, nous avons dîné d'une excellente cocotte de tête de veau. A noter le service très sympathique et souriant.

30/08/2024: We hadn't been here for a few years and we were very disappointed. We have visited the place many times, in small groups or for family reunions, and it has always been a taste pleasure. Forced to see that the quality is no longer there. We ordered two sirloin steaks which tasted nothing like a sirloin but rather a sinewy piece of grilling. Impossible to finish. We asked for a doggy bag, and they gave us the meat in a ball in cellophane. The wine list mainly contains wines that are very easily found in supermarkets. Really limited value for money. The origin of the meats is not indicated. I was a little doubtful when we had dinner (and not lunch) for barely more money the next day in Fontainebleau with a good portion of local products or products whose origin was at least indicated. While a cooking error was reported on the neighboring table and the service was clearly long for a lunch, a service person ended up responding very coldly to the customer who was just worried about the clock that was ticking for her. I also asked to change my wine glass which was chipped in two places. The feeling of annoying the waiter clearly. It's regrettable in a town like Malesherbes that "The" good address is evolving like this.

12/09/2024: Je ne mets jamais de commentaire mais je pense que là c’est utile. Assis à 6 en terrasse, 2 amis vont chercher leur verre, reviennent, à peine 3 min assis, on nous demande assez poliment de quitter les lieux car nous ne sommes pas assez à consommer (sur le principe ok, mais laissez nous le temps à notre tour d’aller chercher à boire). Puis en nous levant, pour partir, un serveur arrive, criant « j’ai pas de temps à perdre, bougez vous les gros ». Je le rappelle, nous avions décidé de partir car mal accueilli, mais il y a des manières de parler aux gens, qui d’autant plus, ont consommé chez vous.
