16/12/2025: I've been to this establishment several times and have never been disappointed. Yesterday, however, I was very disappointed with the meal: it was very salty, the meat wasn't fresh, the fries were overcooked, and the clafoutis was clearly from the day before and also not fresh. I hope this is just a one-off, as I come here very regularly.

08/12/2025: When you mess up, you mess up, and you should offer a gesture of goodwill immediately when the waitress comes to express our dissatisfaction. I came once, it was fine, but this time... Look at the photo of my rice dish, which I just posted. It looks like a hospital cafeteria. When it came time to pay, you didn't even apologize. I had to ask to see you, refusing to pay for this €25 meal. I had you called discreetly, away from your other customers, and if you hadn't barked, we would have negotiated amicably. So no, sir, I'm not here to ruin small businesses, and all my other reviews prove it. I just want to show the plate of lukewarm fish and rice without sauce that you dared to serve me, without understanding that I refused to pay €25, and arguing that the snails and French toast were good! For our two meals, I still left you €30 in cash because I'm not a thief. I even left a tip for your waitress who was suffering from your bad faith and I felt sorry for her. We can all make mistakes sometimes, we can all have problems sometimes, and if you had come forward yourself to take responsibility for this canteen-style meal when your waitress expressed our dissatisfaction, we would have understood each other. Instead, you let your employee present me with the full bill, hiding in your kitchen, even though you yourself admitted that you served me that because there was nothing else left at 12:45! Come on... Let's be serious.

30/06/2025: This isn't the first time I've been served in over ten minutes when there aren't many customers. The salespeople take their time. The pains au chocolat are the same price as real bakeries even though they're frozen or ready-made. Exactly the same for the éclairs. A can of coke for €2.30? It's honestly a joke. Offering such prices without any expertise is sad.

17/01/2026: Excellent meal: venison terrine, incredibly tender roast pork loin... all homemade. 🙂 Pleasant dining room and professional service. 🙂 Two set menus, two kirs, half a liter of a lovely Côtes-du-Rhône, a coffee for her and a cognac for him: 56 euros! 😄😱 At Au Chalet... it's absolutely delicious and exceptional value for money. 🙂 I highly recommend this wonderful place. 😃

22/11/2025: A very bad experience. We arrived at the bar during opening hours, with several customers clearly already inside. However, as soon as the manager saw us, she told us it was "closed." This attitude is incomprehensible and extremely unprofessional. We truly felt refused service for no valid reason. An establishment that treats customers this way makes you not want to return. Avoid it.

25/01/2026: We stumbled upon a little corner of culinary paradise, where the warm and friendly welcome perfectly complements their delicious dishes. Fellow food lovers, we highly recommend this place. P.S. Fleury Abbey is worth a visit nearby, as are the banks of the Loire River.
