Reservation for 4 people.
Everyone was delighted.
The staff and atmosphere in this restaurant deserve top marks; we received a very warm welcome and the staff were attentive.
As for the cuisine, it remains simple yet authentic and delicious.
The menu is short, but very well executed, and every bite is a pleasure.
If you're looking for a gourmet restaurant with all the trappings of fine dining, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for good, unpretentious food, a warm welcome, and a guaranteed good atmosphere, then go in—you've come to the right place.

21/08/2026: The 2/5 rating may seem harsh, but it reflects the price: the food is decent, but at this price point, one simply expects much better. The service is good. Ignore the ambiance rating: we were the only guests.
20/08/2026: An Indian restaurant with beautiful decor: the place is spacious, cozy, and truly pleasant for a relaxing meal. The ambiance is refined and inviting. The service is friendly, with a welcoming and highly professional team. The food is decent, without being exceptional, but overall it's a good experience.

25/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Clichy! The restaurant is extremely friendly and the staff are truly excellent. The food is superb: I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The Bellota ham is delicious, and the portions are generous and very tasty. The value for money is quite reasonable. I highly recommend Churrasqueira Do Povo and I will definitely be back!
22/07/2026: If you're staying at the Hôtel Résidence Europe in Levallois-Perret, it's a 7-minute walk. I recommend it; the menu is short, everything is good, and the prices are reasonable. Go for it!

01/09/2026: The staff is pleasant. However, the quality and quantity are really lacking. The menu even gives the impression of being unclean. And when you order meat, you at least expect a proper knife to cut it correctly. For the same price, you can find much better places elsewhere. First and last time at this restaurant.
31/08/2026: We weren't able to get the tender flank steak and unlimited fries for only €13.90.
It feels like false advertising.
The online reservation had been accepted, however, upon arriving at the restaurant, the waitress explained that she had accepted our reservation for the flank steak, but that they didn't actually serve it.
We had to choose something else, and we didn't receive a word of apology, nothing at all! We could have had unlimited fries, but no, that would have been a gesture of goodwill towards the customers.
I'm disappointed by this way of operating at Hippopotamus.

26/08/2026: The wait was a bit long, but we passed the time with some snacks. The burger was very good, but a little difficult for my son to chew because it had pulled some of his teeth out. Their fries are really good and better than KFC's. We didn't have dessert, but we knew we'd be falling asleep at the table just from that final touch 👌😂😂😂

20/07/2026: I don't understand what's going on. I used to eat at this restaurant, but it's been closed for a while now. I even saw a sign at the entrance saying the restaurant was closed. I find it really strange. I hope to hear something soon.
06/07/2026: I don't understand what's going on with this restaurant. I went there twice with a friend, and each time we found it closed. There was a sign on the door saying the restaurant would be closed until further notice.
I find that quite strange. It's a real shame, because we had planned to eat there.

14/07/2026: The owners are very friendly, as is the staff. During periods of intense heat, the air-conditioned dining room is a real plus.
The food is generally good, as are the kebabs. The only downside is the fries, which are often undercooked or even raw, which is a shame.
The prices are reasonable compared to other places.
03/07/2026: Frankly, I was disappointed with my experience. For a kebab costing €8.50, the container was practically full of fries with very little meat, barely a tiny amount. It left me wanting more; the quality/quantity ratio was poor. I expected better for the price.

15/08/2024: I loved the platter for 2 people with all the meats and it was excellent with the small vegetables which were a great success and I recommend it.
Small downside for desserts, I would have liked to have more choice but the banana flambé was still excellent.
