12/07/2026: I ate at La Pignatta on Friday. The person serving and taking the payment was very friendly. I personally ordered a pizza. I can't say it wasn't good, but it wasn't exceptional either. The crust wasn't cooked enough in my opinion and lacked structure, and the tomato sauce was a bit acidic, but the toppings were lovely! I'll order the pasta next time because the website says it's homemade, although I didn't see that mentioned on the menu.

21/07/2026: A warm welcome. There was a slight problem with the ribeye steak I ordered (it was very fatty). I mentioned it, and the staff immediately apologized and didn't charge me for the dish. Very professional! Everything else was perfect.

20/07/2026: Dirty restaurant, damaged dishes, unpleasant waiters who, to top it off, smoke in front of customers. Mediocre dish: a plate consisting of two small cuttlefish, saffron rice that resembled yellow mush in a small pot, and aioli with whole cloves inside! I'm just crossing my fingers that I don't get sick tonight. In short, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

16/07/2026: What a delightful surprise Gusto Café is in Martigues! Its shaded terrace is a true haven of tranquility, surprising given how busy it is. You immediately feel at home thanks to the charming retro decor, which instantly sets the warm and authentic tone of the place. The service is impeccable: friendly, attentive, and efficient. And the food is a real treat; you can taste the care put into each dish, and the flavors are spot on. In short, this place fully deserves its good reputation. We'll definitely be back!

27/07/2026: An excellent restaurant in Martigues! La Royal Terrasse truly deserves its 5 stars. The food is superb, the service impeccable, and the entire team incredibly friendly. A little tip: be sure to book in advance if you want to enjoy the terrace, as it's very popular. But it's absolutely worth it! The setting is peaceful and sumptuous, with a magnificent view of the port. An experience I highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

06/07/2026: We had been coming to this restaurant for years, several times each summer, and we always recommended it to everyone we knew. It's precisely because we were such loyal customers that what followed was all the more disappointing. The meal went very well until dessert. We ordered two chocolate fondant cakes: one was perfectly gooey, the other completely overcooked, dry, and dense. We simply and politely pointed this out to the waiter, without being aggressive, thinking it was an isolated incident. After a quick trip to the kitchen, he returned with this response: “Your daughter was lucky.” In other words, the botched dessert in front of me was considered normal. No self-reflection, no apology, no spontaneous offer of a replacement. It wasn't the cake itself that was the problem. Nor was it the €9 dessert, especially when you're paying a bill of €132 for three people. What's unacceptable is the blatant disregard shown to a customer who simply reports a clearly defective product. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner finally offered a refund… but only after the situation had escalated. A gesture of goodwill is only valuable when it's sincere and spontaneous, not when it's offered reluctantly. The final straw was the owner's intervention. She came out of the restaurant to tell me, "You're the ones who are pathetic, making a fuss over a chocolate cake when people are starving." A completely irrelevant, inappropriate, and deeply disrespectful argument. We were simply in a restaurant, as a family, paying for a service. As with any service, it's normal to expect a product that meets our standards and a minimum of consideration when a problem is reported. What's making us leave today isn't a chocolate cake. It's the arrogance, the complete lack of self-reflection, and the customer service that, in our opinion, are unworthy of an establishment claiming to be a restaurant. Losing loyal customers over a €9 dessert is already regrettable. Losing them through a lack of professionalism and humility is even more so. We won't be back. And that's a real shame, because we genuinely liked this place.

12/07/2026: We lost everything at this campsite in 2020: cars, clothes, nothing left. A horrible evening. We were evacuated by boat 😥. So glad to see the campsite come back to life. We only stayed two days 😥 because of the fire, even though we had booked 15 days and spent over 1000 kn extra.

27/05/2026: Excellent stay. A warm welcome at reception, a very clean and well-equipped bungalow, a beautiful sea view, and superb walks nearby. We were there off-season, so we enjoyed a quiet campsite; the pool was still closed, but there were beautiful beaches close by. We'll be back!

16/04/2026: We discovered this venue thanks to a private party we booked in a private room. We appreciated the easy access to this elegant townhouse and the discreet sophistication of the reception area. The entire establishment is harmoniously decorated and furnished. The staff in all departments (reception/information, servers, etc.) are attentive and efficient. The catering department fully satisfied our entire group: well-paced service, well-distributed and beautifully presented platters, and delicious, plentiful dishes. The bars were well-stocked and served with consistent care throughout the evening. In short, a venue to recommend for successful private events.

21/05/2026: Lovely quirky restaurant, interesting ancient farm equipment etc around the walls, and an old curved-tiled roof over the bar and wood-burning oven where delicious-looking pizzas are cooked. I had an enormous beautifully cooked duck breast with smoked duck slices and a slab of foie gras, with salad and a pot of gorgeous potatoes. My dining companion had cigaline, which I had never heard of but will certainly look out for in future; it's a beautiful tender cut of pork, absolutely delicious. I think they have some tables outside.
