20/08/2025: We went to this little restaurant based on the "rave" reviews on Google. The food is indeed very good but for our taste a little too expensive to be fully savored... No dish under 30€, (and portion a little small for my husband with only one saddle of rabbit on the plate) and no dessert under 10€... We are happy to have tried it but we will not make it "our restaurant"...

01/02/2026: We arrived as a couple on a whim and received a very warm welcome. The servers were incredibly attentive. The owner was very pleasant, and as an added bonus, we had the pleasure of seeing the head chef who came to greet us. The meal was excellent from start to finish. A delicious beef fondue with homemade fries—that's becoming rare. And our taste buds were delighted. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. In short, a fantastic restaurant with very professional staff. A big thank you; we will gladly return on our next trip. We highly recommend this restaurant. See you soon, and congratulations to the whole team!

Nothing is left to chance; the flavors are complete and precise. Truly beautiful cuisine in a superb setting. The service is impeccable, pleasant, and attentive. We will be back soon! Bravo to them!

13/01/2026: The atmosphere is cool; there are lots of older people chatting about their lives or local gossip. However, the food wasn't great. The fries were frozen and barely cooked, and there wasn't enough sauce with the main course. A shame. On the other hand, they do accept restaurant vouchers.
08/01/2026: Traditional restaurant with elegant and professional service. Special congratulations to the Spanish or Catalan waitress for her attentiveness and proactive approach. I have always been very well received at this restaurant. The kitchen does meticulous and thorough work, bravo!

22/12/2025: A SHAME — RUN AWAY! We chose Les Tables de Philippe because of its advertised "gastronomic" positioning, linked to Les Chalets de Philippe. The gap between the promise and the reality is unfortunately obvious. We came via the Gourmet Passport, which has already allowed us to discover some excellent gastronomic establishments, including some at reduced rates. The price paid therefore has no bearing on the standards or the legitimacy of our opinion. We were informed at the beginning of the meal that the current Italian chef had only arrived a few days or weeks prior. This information is important because it means that older photos and reviews visible on Google do not necessarily reflect what is offered today. The menu offered during our visit was as follows: – beef carpaccio, – pumpkin risotto with sausage pieces, – vitello tonnato, accompanied by raw vegetables (a simple bowl of salad combining lettuce and a little red cabbage), – aged, but very young, cheeses, – followed by a moist chocolate cake with yogurt sauce. Overall, it's very classic Italian cuisine: recipes lacking any particular creativity, predictable flavors, basic textures, and a presentation without any noticeable effort. It's acceptable, but unremarkable, and far from the claimed gastronomic level. The service was also subpar. One of the waiters spoke neither French nor English, only Italian, making any interaction difficult. His service was very abrupt, with no apparent etiquette. A second waiter was more conventional, pleasant, but offered nothing of value. No presentation of the dishes was offered: the plates were simply placed on the table, and the staff immediately withdrew. During our conversation with the owner, he explained that "this isn't French gastronomy, but haute Italian cuisine," which he claimed was the work of a chef trained at one of Capri's finest schools. He also implied that, as holders of the Gourmet Passport, our comments were of little consequence and that the restaurant would always be full anyway. However, when we visited, the restaurant was far from full, which raises questions about the consistency of his claims. The conversation took place in a tone that was not conducive to discussion and offered no real opportunity for self-reflection, further exacerbating our disappointment. We didn't take any photos—or rather, we didn't even consider it—as the presentation of the dishes was so poor. To get an idea, simply search for the dishes listed above on Google and look at the first corresponding Google Images result. Conclusion: If you're looking for a truly exceptional gastronomic experience, both in terms of food and service, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for classic, decent, but nothing more, dishes, then this is the right place for you.
21/12/2025: We would like to share our experience regarding our dinner at Les Tables de Philippe in Chamonix. We had booked a six-course tasting menu for €95. Upon arrival, we were informed of a change of chef, which we accepted without difficulty. However, a new five-course menu was offered in its place, at the same price. Presented as a gourmet Italian menu, it unfortunately proved very disappointing. While the carpaccio was acceptable, it was rather simple. The next course, a pumpkin and sausage risotto, lacked any real finesse. The vitello tonnato was the most disappointing element: meat drowning in sauce, accompanied by a simple bowl of salad, whereas the menu advertised raw vegetables. As I don't eat raw vegetables, I asked for an alternative and was served mini-quiches that seemed to have been frozen, which is hardly acceptable in a restaurant claiming to be gourmet. The cheeses were bland, and the dessert—a chocolate cake with a yogurt sauce—was something you'd expect from a brasserie. Considering the price of the menu, it was a complete disappointment. Furthermore, the service was anything but gourmet. We should point out that we had the Gourmet Passport, and therefore only one of the two menus was charged. However, our complaint is not at all related to the amount paid, but rather to the quality of the meal, which fell far short of the standards expected of a gourmet menu. Finally, when we tried to express our disappointment to the owner, he was dismissive, arguing that having the Gourmet Passport didn't give us the right to complain. A regrettable and unprofessional reaction that only exacerbated our poor experience.

26/10/2024: Un seul mot, fabuleux , caractérise ce restaurant : l’œuf parfait un délice, le foie gras dans son bouillon juste incroyable d’équilibre et de précision tant dans la cuisson que dans les différentes saveurs, enfin l’apothéose avec un tatare de veau à la truffe d’anthologie. Un service empreint autant de gentillesse que de professionnalisme. Et que dire de la carte des vins ? Juste une merveille qui mérite que l’on vienne de loin pour en extraire, comme nous, un Bandol La Tourtine 2016 de chez Tempier qui s’est accordé à merveille avec nos plats. Pour conclure comme dirait François Simon « y retournerai-je ? Oh oui »
10/10/2024: Très bonne adresse, je recommande. Salle chaleureuse dans une ancienne bâtisse pleine de charme. La carte est concise, les plats sont très bons, travaillés sans en faire trop. Le service est très agréable et rapide. C’était ma première fois dans cet établissement et j’y retournerai volontiers.

26/08/2024: Une carte alléchante avec hélas plusieurs produits non disponible, mais on nous a prévenu. Nous avons été reçu par une jeune serveuse très souriante, mais une autre personne a pris le relais et n'étais pas des plus agréable, elle ne vendait pas la carte. Pour les plats, c'est mitigé : agneau confit qui était très bon, mais léger pour le prix. En effet l'accompagnement est en supplément à 4.oo€ ... Donc vous payez une vingtaine d'euros pour un morceau de viande, sans accompagnent... Bizarre de proposer cela, mais peut être un nouveau concept ? A côté un autre plat, côte de porc sauce soja miel. Belle présentation, mais une viande très sèche et le miel inexistant, donc qui baigne dans le soja salé. Dommage car il y a du potentiel dans les propositions de plats qui changent.
17/08/2024: Très bon restaurant à Annecy Si vous cherchez un restaurant authentique, loin des pièges à touristes, ne cherchez plus ! Nous avons adoré la cuisine du chef, raffinée et pleine de saveurs. Ce restaurant se distingue vraiment des autres restaurants.

14/09/2024: A very nice discovery, which will undoubtedly become a must. Just what is needed, as needed, neat setting without overdoing it, products intelligently respected with a touch of audacity, everything one can hope for from the bistronomic spirit... including price level.
