10/03/2024: Traveling 100 kilometers to pick up pastries and you never regret it!!! The taste of quality is excellent!!! Macarons, pastries, Saint Ève… It’s a shame that the quality isn’t the same in Caen… we’ll come back 🥰 super friendly owners and waitress

04/04/2024: My parents and I stopped by for dinner and despite the fact that there were multiple tables available and it was far from closing time, the waitress was incredibly rude upon our arrival and denied us a table. I’m not sure if it was because we were American or because she was having a bad day, nonetheless it was embarrassing given the wonderful service we have received in Bayeux.
02/04/2024: You love pizzas, so you absolutely have to try those from Fred'au! As we approach the restaurant we are irresistibly attracted by this delicious smell! And the pizzas are a delight, the edges are soft and well puffed, the toppings are tasty and perfectly measured! And the service is impeccable, the staff is very friendly!!!

02/04/2024: It is a lovely café to have breakfast, and I wouldn't hesitate to have a quick lunch there as well. I've never had friendlier service in France! The owner is lovely and the croissants (made every day there) were just perfect, so much better than in some hotels or cafés that don't make them, and I'm fussy. Merci Madame! ☕️🥐

The completely drunk boss came to our table, a mixture of the smell of perspiration and alcohol and he was banging his fist on the table, unbearable!!!
If you pass this restaurant, don't stop!!!
The only downside is the very nice waitress.
30/03/2024: One of the most surreal dining experiences I have had so far. The head chef (owner?) ran around the restaurant, pissing people off left and right. We ordered bavette and got another cut, (maybe rump steak?) and was told this was, in fact, the bavette. Black Angus no less. The toughest, most overcooked piece of meat I have seen in a long time. Our wine order was simply ignored, as the service and head chef was busy yelling at each other. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you are in the mood for a night of peeking into the inner workings of a dysfunctional restaurant.

17/03/2024: Had to wait almost 45 minutes when we were the only people in there. All the chicken dishes tasted the same. Portions were embarrassingly small. Far too expensive to still be hungry afterwards.

01/04/2024: Amazing food, wonderful service. Steaks were cooked as requested and seasoned well, complemented by the wine. I'm told the cod was magnificent. Only in town for 3 days, but may very well go back.
01/04/2024: One of the only restaurants open on Easter Sunday. Pleasant staff, good cuisine and beautiful establishment, recommendable!!

Restaurant in the evening is very good and breakfast too
The staff is super friendly
For the 2 nights spent with my children to visit the landing beaches and Bayeux is a very beautiful city
I recommend it

12/03/2024: Frankly not good at all and very expensive, I took 2 sandwiches, a pain au chocolat and a croissant, everything seemed to be from the day before, the ham on the sandwiches had hard and dark pink edges, there was an aftertaste ! All this for the modest sum of €14.70, I really don't recommend this bakery.
I put 1 star because 0 is not possible.
22/02/2024: A recent customer from Cherbourg, I couldn't do without their products, what's more, the seller is extremely friendly and always smiling!

28/03/2024: We arrived at 9:30 PM. The proprietress checked us into our clean, simple and comfortable room right away. Breakfast with the local laborers was charming. We also got lunch here to go.
20/02/2024: I never fail to stop for lunch at the brasserie when I'm in transit between Paris and Bessin! 😊 It's always a good time to relax. The dishes are delicious, simple and prepared with good food. The boss is extremely kind with a word for everyone. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Prices are reasonable. The location is obviously excellent for travelers.
