27/04/2026: My daughter-in-law gave a gift certificate for a one-night stay and breakfast to a couple of friends last weekend. Unfortunately, her friend's husband had a health issue and couldn't make it. She requested (with proof of sick leave) a postponement or a discount on another service, but they refused, and she lost over €400. It's shameful for an establishment that claims to be welcoming... absolutely no empathy; all they care about is money. I do not recommend this establishment.

26/04/2026: We had a wonderful stay; everyone was very friendly, whether for treatments or in the restaurant.

03/09/2026: Great place to grab a quick drink. At the beginning of the Avenue de la Mer. Seating inside and outside at a lively intersection.

03/09/2026: We ordered 3 ham and cheese paninis, but what we got were frozen baguettes and not paninis at all. I do not recommend them at all, extremely disappointed.

25/08/2026: We arrived very late, so we ordered pizzas to go and while we waited, we also ordered fries... It had been a long time since we'd had such good fries! 👍 When we got home, the pizzas were also delicious. The staff were very pleasant despite the late hour. A great experience, we'll definitely be back.

28/08/2026: I had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant during my vacation in Cabourg, and I was completely charmed by this lovely little place! The location is ideal, right on the seafront, offering a magnificent, unobstructed view of the sunset! While you enjoy your meal, take in the spectacle that Normandy has to offer! 🌅 The service is impeccable: attentive, helpful, quick, friendly, and energetic, with a smile and a great sense of humor! We were served by Eugénie, a very professional waitress who always had a smile on her face and shared her infectious good humor with us. The food is excellent: the ingredients are fresh, the dishes are well-prepared and generous! It's a welcome change from some of the tourist traps in Cabourg. Here, the value for money is excellent! We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, which we visited twice during our stay, and we will definitely be back! Bravo to the Chef and his kitchen team! 👨‍🍳 Thank you to Eugénie and her colleagues for the quality of their work! 💛

25/08/2026: Avoid this place… We stopped by in the evening and ordered the chicken supreme with cider and roast potatoes, as well as mussels with Camembert cheese. Let's start with the chicken… it was very dry with just a sliver of sauce on top, accompanied by six potatoes that didn't resemble roast potatoes at all—hard in the center and white (as if boiled). As for the mussels, we were warned when we ordered that they would be small (which they were), but they were quite good. We mentioned this when we were asked if everything was alright. All we got in response was, "Sorry, have a good evening anyway." In short, avoid this place.

01/09/2026: L'Étoile de Mer in Cabourg: mussels marinière/fries, very good, fast and efficient service, friendly welcome, and good value for money. 👍

27/08/2026: The mussel casserole was very small in the €23.90 set menu. The waiter was very friendly but not pleased that he didn't receive his tip. The restrooms were very average.
